“I want that!” Kelvin started pointing toward the shelves of the convenience store as soon as they arrived. “That too!”
“Those are chips, Kelvin.” The ever so silent since earlier Alvin started to speak too. His eyes rolled around the convenience store. Alvin gulped at the rows and rows of foods on the shelves but still managed to stop himself from doing the same thing as his brother does. He tugged on his twin’s uniform. “That’s not healthy.”
His voice trembled at the end, but it seems like only the adults noticed this as the owner failed to notice it too. The two adults with them, Jessamine and Vincent, choose to stay silent and didn’t reveal the hesitation and wavering will of the poor kid.
“I don’t care!” Kelvin stubbornly refuses to snack on other food aside from the unhealthy chips on the shelves. “I want that, so I’ll get that!”
“Mom will get angry,” Alvin still tried dissuading him.
