"Sigh..."
Kimberly stayed silent even after hearing the longest sigh she had ever heard from him.
Vincent sat in front of her. He placed both of his elbows on his thighs and supported his forehead with his fingers. He looked so helpless, as if he had given up in his life. The man in front of her who used to stand like a long pole and arrogance that reached heavens looks like someone who had his ass beaten black and blue. Vincent looked like a dog outside a pouring rain, drenched like a rat in sewers.
Kimberly felt the pang of guilt in her heart, but no matter what, what she did must be done.
Gabriella was crossing the line so much.
Still, for the sake of it, she had to apologize. "Sorry about that, Vincent. I just had to---"
"No, it's fine. I understand." However, Vincent didn't allow her to do so. He raised a hand to stop her. "If I were in your shoes, I would do the same."
"..." Kimberly was lost in words.
