Chapter 1The Beginning

Izumi Midoriya sighed as she lay in bed. Today had been tough, the childhood bully that she had still held hope for, Bakugou Katsuki, an arrogant kid with a god-complex and powerful quirk, had suicide bated her. Then she was attacked by a villain and almost killed, and her hero, All-Might, had denied her only dream. To make things worse, she saved said bully for some reason. And he yelled at her along with all the other heroes on the scene even though she was the only one who had the balls to save him.

And she remembered as she trudged her way home, it felt like something inside her disappeared, and the rose-colored lens that she saw society through had finally dropped. She saw the corruption that surrounded her, the heroes who didn't deserve to be, and the villains who were forced to be the way they are. She finally saw how the backstreets were devoid of heroes because saving people there didn't give enough credit, and just how much damage heroes truly caused. Izumi realized how she and all the people who were quirkless were treated, just for something they couldn't control. How false all those statistics online were, she knew just how much it hurt and how many committed suicide. Just how many were homeless and without a job. Her once cheerful attitude and bright smile were gone and a blank face full of rage and anger at this damaged society took its place. But she knew she had to keep it under a blank facade, she was quirkless and weak. The rage boiled up in her stomach spread through her body, no longer contained inside the happy mask, and it coursed through every vein of her body with a thirst for retribution.

And as all these ideas spun in her head, one thing was what she truly understood. Society needed to be remade, and no one was going to do it. So as she laid there, she clenched her fists in determination. Watching as her skin slightly split from her nails digging in and blood slowly trailed down her arm. She vowed to be the one to start the change. Izumi, a quirkless girl with no influence, money, and still in her final year of middle school. She would start a revolution to remake society, overrun the corruption deep-rooted in it, and tear it out.

And to do that she needed to change, she stood up and looked in the mirror, sighing. A straggly body with almost no muscles. Her eyes had bags under them from years of staying awake with anxiety and all kinds of fears and nightmares. She hated being smart, it let her brain truly explore and think about her existence, why she was here and what her goal was. Quickly shaking her head she cast away these thoughts. She looked at her green hair that was once vibrant, had now turned a toxic dark green from years of neglect. It was also short because she didn't want any gum stuck in it from bullies so she kept it short instead of growing it out. The only good thing about her was her completely unblemished skin, other than the freckles spread across her face, even though she had bullies there were never scars or burns on her, which she always found odd, but the doctor said she was quirkless so she knew she didn't have a quirk. She sighed seeing the damage to her image that years of bullying had done. She knew she couldn't be weak if she wanted to lead her revolution, and the image was one of the things people looked up to.

She slightly chuckled as she opened her now singed and damaged analysis notebook. It was colorful, with all kinds of strengths and weaknesses every person she knew had. She couldn't help but make a comparison, just this morning everything was bright and lively, and now it was all grey and dull. She knew her analyzing skills were top tier, after all, she had been doing it for years. But she was quirkless so even if she told anyone they would just shoo her away.

She looked around her room, seeing the years of collecting had turned it into a treasure trove for All-Might fans. She realized she needed to sell all this All-Might merch. Looking at it made her sick, the top hero of a corrupted society, how disgusting. A leader of a bunch of hypocrites is all she saw, and it made her stomach churn each time she saw that fake smile spread over his face and those words 'I am here,' blended into 'You can't be a hero,' in a mocking tone inside her head. Before she even realized it she was in front of one of her posters, her fist already punched through the head, and drywall behind it. Realizing what she had done she quickly backed away, only to catch a look in the mirror, it looked like her once bright green eyes were glowing toxically.

She sighed, pulling her fist back and looking at her slightly bloodied hand. Before deciding what to do. She had ten months before U.A. opened for the new year. She decided that was when she would truly start moving, so she had ten months to train. But she currently had no money or skills. Deciding to sell the All Might stuff tomorrow, she would tell her mom. Then she would just complete her middle school year early, they called her a nerd, and they were correct. She had to learn the curriculum on her own because she was too busy defending herself from spitball and all kinds of other things in class.

After finishing middle-school she would apply to a couple of courses online, a course to teach hacking and coding, an engineering class, and a self-defense class. As the ideas filled her head and she touched the pillow she quickly drifted off into a calm dreamless sleep, once where dreams of being the best hero were now devoid and it was just a dark plane, a foundation to build her society.

As Izumi woke up the next morning she was feeling very refreshed, she checked the clock and it was way past the time she should've gone to school, not that she cared. She went downstairs to see her mom scrambling around and cleaning. She smiled at this, Izumi always loved her mom and it hurt to see her slowly letting herself go as she had. Izumi still blamed herself for this.

"Oh my god! Izumi, shouldn't you be at school!" Her mom exclaimed. Izumi only slightly frowned at that. Aldera High was a school that deserved to be burned.

"Mom, I want to take the test to get my Middle School Degree early. I also want to sell all of the All-Might merch in my room." She explained and her mom gasped.

"Oh, my baby! Are you okay, did something happen? You would never sell all of that without a reason." Her mom pouted and came up to Izumi, checking her over only to find the same unblemished, skinny girl.

"Don't worry mom," Izumi chuckled, "I just feel like I've grown out of this childish stage." She explained. She didn't want to stress her mother anymore.

Inko Midoriya was not stupid, the second she saw Izumi come downstairs she knew something was wrong. That childish joy that once filled her eyes was gone. And she could almost see a toxic green full of rage hidden behind her daughter's blank stare. She had seen what happened on the news yesterday, and guessed she had finally given up on her dream, Inko sighed. She knew she shouldn't be happy about it but she was glad that her daughter no longer followed an impossible dream. Little did she know her daughter had set an even higher dream that she would do anything to accomplish.

And as soon as she said she had told Inko she was going to sell all of her merch and skipping through middle school, Inko knew something was up. But decided to just let it happen, she didn't want to push her daughter. "Alright honey, let's go register you now," Inko said, as she went to the computer and signed her daughter up for early graduation.

Not even an hour later they got an e-mail from the school saying she could come in at five-o'clock right after all the clubs ended. Izumi let out an unhappy sigh at this. They really wanted the quirkless kid out of their school, didn't they. It was like they saw her as a large red stain on their prestigious record.

Izumi did some organizing in her room, stripping all the merch and putting it in boxes she could easily sell. She took pictures of it and did a couple of calculations. '$5,000, damn. I guess ten-years of collecting paid off.' She whistled to herself. She posted the photos and price on an online auction site. People quickly bet on it and the price was quickly raised to $10,000 before being sold off. 'Guess some people are really desperate.' She thought to herself.

It was a half-hour until five o'clock when they left and arrived at the school ten minutes after. Izumi quickly entered and walked down the empty hallways to arrive at her homeroom classroom, where her homeroom teacher was waiting. Izumi only glared at him, and he had the audacity to look down in a bit of shame. Izumi just scoffed at that, 'what a pathetic man, he couldn't even step up for me when all the students bullied me and would rather turn away, and now that we're face to face, he doesn't even have the balls to say sorry.' She just grabbed the test and went to her seat. Where she easily filled out the answers on it.

She handed in the paper half an hour later and walked out without saying anything. Even if she didn't pass she was sure they would make sure she did just to get her out of there. Not that she didn't think she didn't, she was quite confident she did pass.

After finishing that, they stopped by the post office, where Izumi shipped away the All-Might merch. And as they were driving away, she didn't even glance back once. Because she was all in, this society needed to be rebuilt, and she would be the one to fulfill that desire.
