A way out

"Yes!" ecstatically, Kaiden shouted. "I could finally reach you. Forgive me for being excited about this."

"Wait, who is this?" There was a pause and then he shouted; "Kaiden!??!"

Spence could not believe the nerve he had to call him right now.

On the other side of the phone, he sat up and said: "Why the fuck did you ring me?" 

"What do you mean?" Kaiden asked with a puzzled look and because Spence's tone was not nice, "Shouldn't I have called?"

"The frick! You shouldn't have. Not after the bullshit you put him through. What right do you have ringing me? Loser!"

"Hey! Don't call me that alright. But what's the matter? What did I do wrong? I haven't been able to reach Jake for some time now and I have also been trying to reach you. I am currently outside B–"
