As Jake got ready to leave for school on Monday morning, he couldn't help feeling anxious and restless, considering that he was going to be sharing a class with Haewon that morning, and she might likely give him a response.
He didn't know if it was normal for guys to feel nervous or anxious when they asked a girl out, but he knew that was how he was feeling.
He never would have thought that her response to his proposal would matter so much to him, but over the weekend, he had come to realize that it did.
The last thing he wanted was for Haewon to say no. Not that he thought she would since he knew they were fond of each other, but somehow her delay made him nervous.
If she was going to say yes, she would have said so already, right? It wasn't like she was the type to play hard to get.
So, why was she taking so long to give him a response? Or had she decided now that she preferred him as just a friend and not a boyfriend?
