Camellia shook her head, shaking off the thought of love out of her head.

"You lack manners. Even if I was in the middle of the road, you should have drive pass me as a gentleman. "

She crouched to pick her broken phone and Gavin huffed with a little chuckle that sounded funny to Camellia.

"You think this is funny? This while thing is funny to you, right?" she glared at him, almost shoving the broken phone at his face.

"Is that your problem?" his deep, sweet voice bellowed, Camellia also got engrossed with the voice but quickly answered him.

"How do you mean?" she scoffed.

"Is the broken phone your problem?" he asked and without waiting for her to reply, he flung his suit with left hand and dipped his right hand in the suit inner pocket and brought out some cash. Camellia eyes glistened as she couldn't remember when last she saw such amount of money but she stood like she didn't care about the money.

"This would do!" he said, throwing the bale of money at her. Her mouth parted slightly to say something but he got in the car before she could find the right words.

She picked the bale of money and gathered the medicine that had been lying carelessly on the ground but it was still in its perfect condition, she put them in the nylon which was half torn and jogged home with happiness.

She entered the apartment and locked the door behind her and went straight to the room, she saw Kendra lying, facing the wall, her eyes landed on the tray of meal she had barely touched. She moved closer to her, patting her shoulder down to her back.

"You barely even touched your meal and I know how much you love cake, what's the matter with you?"

Kendra turned back to look at her, her lips parted slightly as if she wanted to say something but she broke down in tears instead, Camellia hugged her.

"It's okay, everything is going to be fine. I have a gist so get up and listen." she said beaming with smile.

"I'm okay in this position, just say whatever you want to say"

Camellia brought out the bale of money, shaking it above her head, Kendra sprang up as her eyes shine with a bit of sadness in it.

"Where did you get that from?" Kendra's voice came shaking.

"There is this guy I met when I was working as a waitress in that restaurant, though he's the arrogant type, I love everything about him. His perfume drive me insane " she said, holding a pillow close to her chest and smiling childishly, she continued

"I fell in love with him at first sight and I have he is the one for me. I met him tonight again but I don't think he recognized me, he almost knocked me down with his car, my phone got smashed in the process and he gave me this money as a compensation" she showed her the damaged phone.

"I knew it! You're always lucky."

"You can say that again" she yelled, blushing.

"And one more thing" Camellia continued, Kendra who was about to face the wall turned back to her.

"Which is?"

"I've gotten a job." she said excitedly

"I was reading the message when the incident happened"

"Happy for you" Kendra mumbled and faced the way. Camellia was surprised at her reaction but didn't push things further, besides, she's so happy about her crush that she met. She slept that night, hugging her pillow and wishing it was her 'love'.

Two weeks later

Camellia woke up energetic, she dressed up for work as an editor in one of the biggest story publishing company. She picked her lip gloss which had dropped when she was busy with her makeup, she added the lip gloss as the final touch and walked to the living room. She paraded in from of Kendra.

"How do I look today?"

"Beautiful as always so can you please stop obstructing my view?"

"Sure but when is your leave ending? You haven't had any leave this long since you started working there"

Kendra stood up, pushed Camellia slightly to the door and threw her her bag, "You have work to do, stop gossiping."

They both giggled and Camellia went her way.

Camellia walked down the street, her heels making a 'tick tock' sound, her long hair slightly bouncing as she walked in style. She got to the bus stop and boarded a bus. She looked at out the window after she had taken her seat beside a window, thinking about how perfect her life is at the moment, the satisfying job, her crush which she hope to meet again. She smiled unconsciously.

She soon got to her bus stop and alighted from the bus. She walked into the company, exchanging greetings with her colleagues till she got to her desk. She dropped her bag on the table and pulled out the chair for herself. She pressed the power button on her laptop, waiting for it to boot but the loud sound that came as a pile of files dropped on her table startled her, making her shut her eyes tight and in a fast manner.

"Those are your work for today and I want it done without mistake"

"Okay, boss" she bit her lip in a thin line, wishing she could say what was going on in her mind but she knew that would definitely be the end of her job.

The laptop had booted so she drew the files closer to herself, opening it one after the other and working on them.

Kendra sat on the couch after she had looked the door behind, she huff as she stretched out for the remote. She pressed it with all frustration in her, groaning as she couldn't get any better channel to watch. She dropped the remote on the couch and threw her head backwards and let out a heavy sigh. She sprang up into a more comfortable sitting position and her eyes landed on the card that slightly poke out of her bag, she stood up and took it. She went back to the couch and picked her phone which was lying beside the remote.

"Being a girlfriend to a rich young guy would be that bad" she said, talking to nobody, putting more emphasis on 'rich'.

She punched the number on the card in her phone, he picked up almost immediately, startling Kendra with his deep voice that she had to quickly get the phone off her ear, she stared at it for a while before taking it back to her ear.

"Are you there?" the voice at the other end asked.

"Yes... Yes, I am" she stuttered.

"I called concerning your proposal, I'm ready"

Gavin chuckled at the other end.
