Chapter 14 – Juan Jiro

Roxas' POV

Later after that, we dressed in our traditional Japanese clothes and went to the inn's game room, only to see that it didn't offer many options for entertainment. Then, Kyo and Yuki had a ping-pong battle, and I could tell that Kyo was determined to win against him. I then decided to have a ping pong battle with Asae, who said that she also plays that game. And so, Asae and I did so, and we had fun since in my previous life, I had some experience playing that game. Tomoaki cheers for us as well. "You can do it! Whoo!"

Then, Asae scored 3 points while I had only 1.

 "I win!" she said happily.

"Wow, you're so good at it." I chuckled.

 "Yup!"

Tomoaki and Momiji were amazed with delight, alongside Tohru.

 "You guys are good it."

 "Thanks," I happily replied back.

But then, suddenly, Kyo, who couldn't win against Yuki in a single round, couldn't take it anymore so he lifted and bashed the ping pong table folded in half. Now he wants a fistfight with Yuki instead, but the latter wouldn't want that.

Later that night, we all went to the inn gardens to get some fresh air. Tomoaki, Asae, and I are on a bench looking at the stars. Tomoaki wishes for Juan's safety, while Asae wishes for someone to be her boyfriend. Her wish made me blush a bit, but luckily, I hid it from them.

"Are you okay, dude?" Tomoaki asked.

 "Yes! I am!" replied I.

He and Asae are not suspicious of me at all.

Then, the three of us looked at Yuki and Tohru, and it seemed they were having a love-like scene.

"Aww…" Tomoaki commented in liking it.

"They're in a romance scene…" Asae added as well.

I pretended to like that, too.

And then, suddenly, a phone call came, and when I looked at my smartphone, it was Juan who was calling. To that I was surprised, and before Tomoaki and Asae would see it, I stood up, "Guys, excuse me." I then went to a secluded spot and answered the call, "Hello? Is this Juan Jiro?"

"Yes, it's me," Juan replied. "Are you Roxas, right?"

 "Yes, it's me."

My mind was like, "I knew this would happen. Good job, me."

 "Um, where's Tomoni-chan?" Juan asked.

Now I know that he was referring to Tomoaki because I wrote that he calls him that.

"Uh, he's with me," I replied back.

 "Okay, how about Tohru-chan?"

"Yes, she's with us, of course."

"Okay, I am now at Shigure-san's house because I'll live there for the time being."

"Ah, okay, good, did you leave your family's home?"

"Yeah, how did you know that?"

"I just happen to know that."

"Okay, thank you, when will they come back? Because I know they live here."

 "By tomorrow morning."

"I see. I'll be waiting for them then. Thanks for everything, bye."

"No problem. Good night and goodbye."

Juan and I ended our phone conversation before I returned to Asae and Tomoaki. "Sorry, guys, my friend was calling me for something."

"It's okay, we won't delve into that stuff." Tomoaki smiled at me.

 "Thanks, Tomo-kun."

The next morning, we checked out after a nice good night sleep, and the owner bid farewell to us, telling us to come again in the future. "Yes, I will," I responded positively with a bow, "thank you." After that, Tohru asked Momiji what grade he will be in.

"Nein!" Momiji replied happily. "Me and Hatsuharu will be first-year students in your high school."

This shocks Tohru, Tomoaki, and Asae a lot, and Kyo asks him why he didn't tell them about it sooner.

Momiji replied, "To surprise all of you!"

Then, Yuki explained to Tohru that Momiji and Hatsuharu are the same age, causing Tohru to be more shocked.

"C-Calm down, Tohru-chan!" Tomoaki and Asae tried to calm her shock down.

To that I chuckled a bit, knowing about that part back in my previous life.

After some time, we said goodbye to the owner of the hot springs resort and went back to the city by bus. Along the way, I was sitting next to Asae, which made me nervous because I secretly had a crush on her. "She's so cute!" my mind said to me. "Is falling in love with your own fanfic character a thing?" That question will remain in my mind for now.

Later, at 8:32 a.m., we all got off the bus and walked towards Shigure's house, before climbing the long stairs towards it. Arriving there, Tohru opened the door. "We're home." Shigure, who was writing in his study, then responded, "Welcome back home. How's your trip, guys?"

"It's fine, thank you," Asae replied meekly as she and the others took off their footwear before entering the living room.

Then, Shigure stood up and walked out of his study. "Well then, someone will be living with us for a while."

"Who is it then?" Yuki asked.

To that, Shigure calls, "Jiro! They're here!"

Tomoaki recognized that name as Juan Jiro. "What? Juan is here?"

I am now confident that he'll appear.

Then, Juan did so, and he came downstairs. "Kuya?"

"Juan-kun!" Tomoaki ran to him and hugged him.

Juan gets so emotional about reuniting with his older brother that he cries a bit.

Tohru and the others were stunned to see that, while I was happy for them.

"What is going on here?" Kyo asked.

"Well, Tohru's cousins mistreated him so he just left home and decided to live here with Tomo-kun," Shigure explained in response.

Tohru gasped at it in shock. "Oh, no…"

After that, Tomoaki discharged from hugging Juan and expressed to us how mad he was at his older half-siblings. "I'm ready to cut all ties with them." While Kyo and Yuki agree, I partially disagree with his decision to do that since family is more important than being a lone wolf. And so, Juan is now a part of their family, and Tohru and her friends happily give him a warm welcome, much to Juan's happiness. He is now living in Tomoaki's bedroom.
