Wrap-up of Suspects Fong Tian and Tian Fong

Suspect Fong Tian

Main Class: Chi-Master

Subclasses: None

Username: CallofSwallows

Guild: The Dark Owls

Age: 18

A dark web hacker and partner to Tian Fong. Doesn't play glory, but recognized the cash flow of the E-sport and wanted to partake with his friend Fong. They found Liu's post and they bought the account cards or rather Tian used his account to buy both. He knows how to hack games, but he's got no drive for Glory beyond the money opportunities.

Suspect Tian Fong

Username: AlbatrossCrow

Guild: The Dark Owls

Age: 20

Partner to Fong Tian and a dark web user. Doesn't play glory and only wanted to get involved with the money schemes often colluded with the clubs. He and Tian planned to mass-produce materials to sell to the guilds and the teams and later equipment once they figured out the mechanics of the game. No real interest in the Glory scene beyond the money opportunities as well.

Both have surrendered to the company and have returned the account cards. The final deal was as follows.

The Boss came to a decision of how to deal with the massive amount of cash Liu gained from the illegal account cards and told the duo that in order to minimize the damage they would have to confess to one of their lesser crimes if they wanted to avoid serious jail. If they didn't his plan wouldn't work and then they'd get the maximum punishment for fooling around with 100 Million RMB.

They argued against this of course, but then we reminded them that either they do as we say or we just hand them straight to the cops and have them investigate all they had. God knows how much criminal activity they've got on their records, and who knows how much illegally obtained cash.

They lamented seeing as they were backed into a corner. When it was time they would turn themselves in for a lesser/cheaper crime and survive in jail for a minimum time. Honestly should've just gave em to the cops anyway and handed everything we had, but Boss wants it quiet about the illegal account cards.

Anyway, I don't think I could've done this one without my good friends Layla and Guan.

Layla Kong

A server maintenance director/manager, whatever's got to do with servers she's your girl. Spends most of her work time in the server room chilling. Raised in America, but moved here with her parents so she knows Chinese and English. Also prefers her name read left to right. She's half American after all. She's not that into Glory hence why most of what she does is server-related, but she helps out with game testing when we ask her.

As of 20 minutes ago, I owe her a favor.

"Looks like everything worked out." Layla's voice echoed from the speaker.

"Yep, you had them pegged word for word. Thanks for sending that PSA across the 7th server, made Guan's job easier." Chau said.

"I hope he doesn't make a Billy Ocean reference." Layla said, drearily.

"It's your own fault for showing him the movies." Chau snickered as he put out his cigarette.

"I already regret it, and you idiots got me to work early for this." Layla said.

"It was an emergency!" Suddenly another phone icon appeared on Chau's screen and popped above Layla's.

"Whatever." Layla said, as Chau could feel her eye roll.

That being said it was a pretty ok plan.

Phase 1

Have Layla send a PSA across the 7th server saying all players needed to leave the 1000 lakes area and the city limit for a maintenance check. This message however would never reach our hacker friends thanks to Guan with the assist.

Phase 2

Layla could trick the servers into being unable to recognize the account cards of the hackers. In order to log in the account needs to be verified by the server. But did you know that also applies to logging out? Admin accounts not part of our main system we can't do almost anything about, but it still needs to be verified by the server in order to be of any use. Sure we could've used this to just lock them out of all the servers but then we'd never be able to establish contact to get the cards back.

Phase 3

Once they couldn't log out, all that was left was to prevent them from just throwing them away and powering down their rigs. Layla had this one covered. I pissed them off good at this point, but Layla had the golden touch. She knows China's cyber laws better than most government officials do. I have no idea how much she had me say was a bluff and what was true. I know for sure that some VPN services do keep your data for rainy days...

After that Tian and Fong folded and the accounts were deleted. 3 cards down and it's still day one. Time for a rest.

Only 3 more to go.

1 Day and 21 Hours till server 11's opening.
