*Sigh* What now? Taking over a country?

Eventually, after a day of rigorous fighting, we came to a truce. The conclusion we arrived at is that fighting each other doesn't fix the situation.

We decided to establish a territory. I will be looking for a place to set up, while Carrera will be looking to fix the housing problem for all the demons.

I've decided to take over some country and proceed from there. Neither me or Carrera has any experience in running a country. But I can most definetly do a better job than some human king, so I'm not worried at all.

First I appear in a random human town and purchase a world map. Then I look over it and decide where to set up my territory. The best place seems to be the west. There are a lot of countries there and no powerful existances to get in my way. Probably, anyway.

I appear on the wester most part of the main continent. There are a lot of countries here. My eye is on a small country called Eridia. It's territory is quite small, but it's positioned in a good location. In fact I'm suprised why the bigger countries haven't already taken over.

I go to the palace of the country and seek out the king. While I move around, I'm invisible, so that I wouldn't complicate the takeover, nor the investigation.

I quickly find the king. He seems to be a manly man, almost 2 meters tall. Still, he's useless to me right now. I figure out where his office is and start looking through the documents.

After I finish the ones in the kings office, I move to the ministers offices and rooms. For 4 days I read all the documents I can find, getting a pretty good idea of what situation this country is in and how the infrastructure is set up.

Turns out the king is as manly as he looks. By what I've seen, he is very talented in running a country. Most of the power is centralized, which means the king has almost absolute power.

Based on the documents his reign is incredibly good for the country. He has atleast tripled the economy during his reign. Oh well, time to have a chat with him.

I teleport over to him. He's in the audience room, sitting on his throne, seemingly having a meeting with his ministers.

I put all the ministers to sleep, except the prime minister standing next to the king. Then I dispel my invisibility.

The two men are shocked when they see all their fellow men fall asleep. Shortly after they get another suprise, as a stunning woman in a black dress appeares.

"Who are you?" The king quickly responds. Very impressive.

"Hello, my name is Artoria. I'm electing myself the new head of state. Any questions?" I say, then walk up to the throne and unceremoniously yank the king off the chair, like he's a child and throw him away. Then I sit on it myself.

"Wha..." The prime minister seeing all this balks at my audacity. Then unexpectedly over 10 guards enter the audience room. I guess one of these men alerted them.

When I see the guards rush over to me, I sneer. "Heh. Even if this whole kingdom went against me, you wouldn't win." I say.

Then I casually wave my hand, as if swiping something in the air. Mysteriously all the top halves of the guards explode. The room instantly becomes a red mess.

"Jesus!" The prime minister shouts. By the way, who's Jesus?

The king and the prime minister are both very shocked. I hold my hand up and seemingly set the floor on fire. But actually I just burn the blood and the remains of the guards to ash.

"I recommend you don't summon any more needless sacrifices. These will be my people soon." I calmly state in an even voice.

"Let's start again." I lean back on the chair(throne) and cross my legs. My appearance is elegant, regal and awesome. "My name is Artoria Pendragon, the corrupted true dragon. I have come to this country with the intention of usurping it. Of course I am not unreasonable. The reason I'm talking to you in the first place is to come to an agreement, as I still desire you to work as king, just under me. However consider the fact that this country now belongs to me, as just that. A fact." I explain.

The king and prime minister take their time to process my explenation. Rightfully so, as I can understand how hard it is to come to terms with what I'm saying. I understand, yet I don't care.

After 10 minutes, the king finally sighs and opens his mouth. "You mentioned an agreement? What do you have in mind?"

"Simply put, you are human. So you are short, stupid, poor, weak and dumb. I want you to keep being the king and running the country as you have. Except now you have me as a superiour and whatever I say or implement goes. I will be the true ruler of the country, but in the dark, while you are the face of it." I explain.

"Haah. Do I even have a choice." The king grimaces. Luckily he seems to understand the threat I pose, without me even exposing myself much. If he knew my true power, he would gladly accept this deal, as he would be getting a super powerful backer for his country. The fact that he's accepting me so easily, means that he can just about guess how strong I am. As he is quite smart for a human.

"I'm glad you have understood the best decision in this situation. Now then..." After that, I proceed to explain the situation and give a few direct threats to them.

As I explained before, the king will remain in his post and everything will remain almost the same. The difference is that I will be the true ruler of the country, so whenever I want to change something, I just give the king a command. This obviously limits me, as when the king rebels against me, with the resolve to die, then I essentially lose my portal to the kingdom. I have to fix that quickly.

After chatting with the two men, I teleport to my mansion and locate Carrera. She's sitting on a couch and reading a book, even though she was supposed to manage the demons.

"Why are you not doing anything?" I ask, looking at her like trash. Pure disgust on my face.

"Hmm? Ah, I just told them what to do and let Meliodas take command." She says and sips her tea.

"Well whatever. Come with me. And where is that girl Piscalat..." I say and look around.

"You called Lady Artoria." Piscalat appeares next to me. Slightly startling me.

"Oh? What inspired you to call me a lady? Was it that rough smack." I ask with amusement.

"No, I simply found you worthy of my service." She says. I don't really understand what she's basing my worth on, but this makes it easier for me, so I'm not complaining.

"Alright." I snap my fingers and the three of us appear in the Eridia kingdom royal castle. I had the king arrange rooms for 3 people.

Once we get the rooms sorted out, I instantly start on my plan to consolidate my rule over this kingdom. Meanwhile Carrera wanders off somewhere, leaving Piscalat to remain and assist me.

I stand in the middle of my room, with my hand on my chin. It's a big room, for nobility, so all the furniture is quality. In the corner of the room, Piscalat is quietly standing and looking at me.

"Hmm..." I muse and think. I want to create some sort of homunculus. I don't know how, so I just have to figure it out.

"Piscalat go and bring me humans, around ten. They all have to be female." I tell her.

"Understood." She nods and smiles creepily.

While Piscalat leaves on her task, I set up a dimension and within it, I put down all kinds of magic circles.

The domain I created is smallish, around 2 kilometers across. The access point is through a door, that's in my room. The good point is that through the door, I can anchor the dimesion. This means that I don't have to constantly maintain the spell. I just have to supply mana from time to time.

Not even 10 minutes later, Piscalat returns with 10 sleeping women. "I have brought them." She casually states. Her kidnapping skills are very proficient...

Not minding, I nod at her and take the women. Under Piscalat's keen eyes, I start my research. What I'm attempting to do is create a human that has a portion of my blood and that I can inhabit. I want the final product to be just like a human without a will.

The poor women that Piscalat brought me, should curse all their ancestors for their lack of fortune. The things I do to them are well past inhumane.

I slowly pick them apart, learning everything about them. Then I try to reassemble them, like they're some sort of puzzles. Since I'm starting almost from zero, I have no idea what to do. This means I'm trying to grasp the answer in the dark.

I burn through the 10 women quickly. All of them end up dying. Once I've run out of humans, I just ask Piscalat to bring me more. So she does. She brings more and then more and then more.

Some of them are lucky, as I keep them asleep, while I disassemble their bodies and souls. Whilest others are not, as they scream until they lose their voices and experience pain that breaks their minds.

I remain completely unfeeling as I work through hundreds, then thousands of humans...
