While Chloe spoke with the Sheriff, Scott had struck a deal with Forbes who was impressed with the party. He thought he heard glass break. Perfect.

Wendy was speaking him about a topic he could barely keep up with. She was a nice girl but...she didn't ignite the fire in his soul.

"...then I said, there's no way I could purchase these heels for that amount of money, it's highway robbery." Wendy chattered on.

He nodded to show he was listening.

He'd seen Chloe when she first stepped in with Lena, he'd never seen her in a dress before, he noticed they fit her hips perfectly. He felt guilty looking at another woman while with Wendy.

"Okay, song request from Vic and Stephanie Harper, Can't help falling in love with you." The DJ said over the mike. Wendy smiled when Elvis Presley's Can't stop falling in love with you came on

"I love this song. Wanna dance?" She asked.

"I'm kind of spent." Scott said.
