Unexpected Encounter
I couldn't just leave someone in trouble so I follow the scream. There I saw a beautiful fairy-like girl around my age being ravished by a group of men; one of them has a beard and another one is bald.
Numerous twigs, leaves and dirt are on her hair. The bald one with his vulgar laugh is on top of the girl. The girl is desperately struggling and twisting her body but it was no use. Her hands are bound by the bearded man.
They were trying to rape her. The girl is shouting and screaming while they all watch her struggle. The bald man ripped apart her white dress. Her bra was torn as well, exposing her breast. She covers it up quickly.
A yellow stain started to spread on her underwear and a small puddle appeared beneath her. She has wet herself out of fear.
I saw all that is happening but I couldn't charge in like a blind man I am only a single man while they are a group of bandits. As I wait for the right moment another man come and forced her to spread her legs. I couldn't hold back any longer I can't just risk it so I charge and slash the bald guy's head. It was a clean cut right off his shoulder. While the other bandits are in shock at seeing one of their man heads chopped off in an instant, I use that opportunity to pick up the girl and run into the deeper parts of the forest. While the bandits might be great in numbers and strong, their bodies are big and slow. I on the other hand have a small and nimble body and am fast.
After hiding the girl in the safety of a cave, I use my speed to my advantage and separate the bandit group one by one. I might not win fighting the whole group but in one-on-one battles, I will come out on top. After killing 10 of the bandits the rest of them run off. Then I go back to check on the girl. When I come back she was sitting in a corner and shaking. I thought she was shaking because she was terrified so as a way to comfort her I said
"Don't be scared. They are all gone now. I chase them away"
"WHAT! Did you think I was scared, NO I was angry about how I, the great Aria can fall for their trap if only I have my mana I will bless them away with explosion magic"she said with tears drops in her eye.
"Wait did you say MAGIC!" I ask in surprise because there is no magic in the future that I come from so how come there is magic in the past? "You can use magic?" I ask again.
"Of cause I can, can't you see I'm a fairy we fairies especially have an affinity for elemental magic, some humans can also use magic how can you not know this?" she asks in surprise. At the end of the sentence, a growling sound covers the entire cave. It was Aria's stomach. Her face was red as she blush out of embarrassment.
"So your name is Aria. Here put on these clothes they are mine so they might be a bit big for you, I'll go look for something to eat" Then I give her my extra clothes and I came out of the to find some food to eat. I also am hungry since I haven't eaten anything.
As I find food I wonder since there is no magic in the future, but there is here something must have happened between now and then. Wow, magic uh think about all the things that we could do if there were magic in the future. I must report this to the HQ. Well, that will have to come later I am too hungry to think about it.
After finding some fruits and coming back to the cave I was greeted by a beautiful fairy girl in my clothes. She might have a foul mouth on her but she really is pretty, her skin looks smooth as silk, her amber green eye color, her short yet flowy green hair and her translucent wings emitting a rainbow color while in my oversized hoodie. Her body might be small unlike Sara but she looks elegant like a princess just minus her foul mouth.
I found myself staring at her but I immediately snap myself back and give her the fruits that I found. She quickly takes them and eats. I guess she was very hungry.
"Th-an-k-k y-you for saving me back there," she said with a soft voice that I can barely hear So this is what they call a 'tsundere'. I remark to myself.
"What is that?" I pretend to not hear and tease her
"You heard it, don't make me say it again just be grateful that you are granted to be in the presence of me the great fairy Aria, ha ha ha"
"So, Aria what are you doing here in the forest," I ask.
"I was here to kill some beast precisely a horned rabbit the restaurant at the guild commissioned it. Judging by how you fight you must also be an adventurer like me what rank are you? You must at least be a D-rank like me, right?" she asks.
"I'm not that great I'm just a G-rank beginner," I explained
"I was here on a commission too, to together medicinal herbs," I said pointing at the herb that I collected.
"There is no way that you are G-rank show me your guild card," she asks in surprise.
"Wow you really are a G-rank there is no helping it then I the great Aria will just have to help you rank up. Don't worry under my supervision you will get to D-rank in no time," and just like that she joins my party. Well, I'll be here for a while so might as well accept her offer, she could have information on the time crystal. I just need to play along.
"Ohh, the great Aria thank you for your gracious offer. I am honored to accept."
"For some reason when you said like that, I feel like you are making fun of me," she said.
"So great Aria if you are well rested now shall we go back to the city?" I asked.
She agreed and we both come back to the city. I report all that happen to the guild and they say that the bandits that I killed all have bounties on each of their heads so I just got all that money and also my rank went up to E. I didn't need to take the exam because of Aria's recommendation. As it turns out people can rank up by the recommendations of other people higher rank than them. Of cause, that person needs to be considered trustworthy by the guild. So as to celebrate and say thank you to Aria I invited Aria to have a drink in the restaurant. Later with Aria's recommendation, I stayed in the same inn with her. Little did I know Aria is going to risk her life to save me in the near future. Of course, there was no way of me knowing that at that time.
