21 Chapter 20:

*Bzzrt* *Bzzrt* *Bzzrt* *Bzzrt* *Bzzrt*

I crack an eye open trying to locate the annoying phone. My tired eyes finally located it after a lot of straining on my part. I picked up the closest thing to me and threw it at the phone in hopes of silencing its incessant buzzing.

The object made contact with the phone and completely silenced it.

Mission accomplished.

Looking over at the phone once more, my eyes narrowed in annoyance before a mumbled "fuck.." came out of my mouth.

The object I threw was a knife, and it bisected my phone in two halves. Kicking the blankets off of my body, I got out of bed and yanked the knife out of the bedside table before restoring my phone.

Unlocking my phone, I checked what the alarm was set for, '5:00 - Bath/Shower/Clothes'. Scrolling down my phone, I saw an extensive list of alarms for today that Momo set on my phone to make sure I would be kept on schedule for the wedding. Not wanting to put Momo's efforts to waste, I made my way to the bathroom to get cleaned up.

I spent a lot of time soaking in the aromatic bath, even slowing down time for everyone else to achieve my desired results. I didn't want to smell on my wedding day. I don't think anyone does. I smelt like a flower garden in full bloom.

I set up a temporal barrier to trap in my aroma so that it wouldn't fade by the time of the reception. I didn't do my makeup or hair today, as there will be makeup artists on site. I would rather not waste time with them wiping my makeup off, and undoing my hair, just to do it again.

I was currently dressed in a simple blue hoodie, sneakers, and sweats. I wanted to be comfortable before I got into a frilly dress and heels.

I walked around the house in stopped time for any sign of the maids, yet there was none. I realized soon after that they were all going to be present at the wedding and were probably doing preparations at the venue.

Looking down at my schedule for today, I see that I was scheduled for my transportation to the venue in six minutes. Peering down the list, I see there was only a footnote about there being no breakfast. I was not having that. I made some quick scrambled eggs on toast and ate those before my ride came.

As I sat in the car, music playing in my ears, I began thinking about the venue where the wedding will be held. The Kitayama church in Kyoto. It was a two-hour journey, but it would be more than worth it.

Kitayama church is an ornate church building with various foliage adorning its brick walls. The interior is completely wooden and has one large glass window facing its stretching gardens. It wasn't an overly large venue. But it was perfect for us and our wedding, as we wanted it to be intimate, and the cozy wooden walls gave us that feeling.

(A/N: Images of venue: ← )

I still remember how excited Momo was when she got to that page in the wedding binder she made. I thought it was overkill at first from the sheer size of it. I was but an ignorant fool. I had no idea how much work and planning actually goes into a wedding.

As the car journey went on, I began trying to think of my vows. I gave up twenty minutes in. There's too much I want to say, and I don't want to put everyone to sleep! I will just go with the flow and say what's on my mind at the moment. I just hope I don't fuck it up. Oh god, that would be so awkward…

After a few minutes of panicking about 'what ifs,' I finally arrived at the venue. It definitely didn't disappoint. It looked even better in person. The alarm for '8:00 - arrive at venue' went off. I decided to silence the alarms for the rest of the day.

Walking through the entrance, I was greeted by the ever stoic Increment. She then proceeded to guide me to one of the side rooms where I will be eating my breakfast, apparently.

'What was the point in the footnote if I was going to get breakfast anyway?!'

The breakfast was set up like a buffet, probably to quickly feed all the people doing prep before they got back to doing whatever they were doing. I had decided to just have a light breakfast of miso soup and a small bowl of rice. When I finished eating, my bridesmaids came through the door.

Momo and I have six female friends, so it took a lot of negotiation to get the three bridesmaids I wanted to be by my side. Kirishima was just going to be our solo best man for both of us. He cried tears of manliness when we asked him. My bridesmaids were: Toga, Mina, and Yui. Momo's were: Itsuka, Reiko, and Tsuyu.

Toga was my head bridesmaid officially, but the person who did most of the work was, in fact, Mina. The pinkette could be really responsible when she put her mind to it. I was pleasantly surprised by how she did her duties so diligently.

My bridesmaids will be wearing red dresses while Momo's will be wearing blue. Our bridesmaids are wearing each other's favorite colors. It was a bit tacky but in a good way.

Me and the girls chatted away for a while about what was expected to happen today and any countermeasures in place for things that go astray. We also just had a lot of fun playing UNO to pass the time until the dresses came over with the hair and makeup artists.

"+4"

"Yui, I hate you so much right now… This is the sixth +4 in a row!" I could only cry in frustration at the luck the stoic girl was getting.

Before I could pick up my 26th card, the doors flung open dramatically,

"Bonjour~ darlings~."

A french man entered. He looked like a more dramatic Aoyama. Realizing that I have no idea who this man is, I decided to inquire about his name,

"Uhh? Who are you, and what do you do?"

"My apologies for not introducing myself earlier, darlings. My name is Yudai Aoyama, your miracle worker for today!"

'He is related to the cheese addict, interesting...'

"I assume by miracle worker you mean hair and makeup artist, right?"

"Exactly, mon ami, but that is such a boorish title, don't you think? Miracle worker shines much brighter, non~?"

'Yep… Definitely related.'

"It does sparkle a little bit brighter, I guess."

We had some conversations before he got to work.

He did my hair like I usually do. It just had literal sparkles coming off of it. It was probably a part of his quirk.

My dress fit perfectly. Well, what else could I really have expected when my mother had it personally tailored.

I only had some light makeup done so as to not detract from my naturally flawless skin.

After the other girls were all dressed, Mina scampered off somewhere to find the photographer. It was decided that we would all get our pictures done separately before it started. I held a bouquet of blue roses in my silk-gloved hands and stood in the studio. The picture was taken soon after I posed as Toga scattered some petals through the air.

(A/N: Dress here ← )

I looked beautiful, better than I ever have looked before. Then again, Momo only deserves the best for this special day.

I'm not ashamed to say I cried.

Was it because of the dress? Partly.

It was also because my mother opened the door to the studio, and she had someone by her side. He was a 5ft 4' man with golden hair, dressed in a white tuxedo with a black ascot in place of a tie.

My father, Dio.

My recently done mascara ran down my face as the tears kept coming. I was frozen on the spot in emotional shock. I could only muster up a shaky question,

"D-Dad, I-Is that you?"

"Yes, it is. It's me, Dio, your father."

As his arms spread out wide, I subconsciously ran into them. I may have never met the man before, but he was family, and that was enough for me to get attached to. I had so many questions about where he has been for the past decade, but those can wait until this day is over.

My family is now complete.

I did find out that he was actually the #1 hero in Britain, and he was ranked #4 internationally. He was also titled 'the symbol of stability in Britain.

I could have probably found all of this out in Google searches, but I had already given up hope by the time I could properly utilize the internet. We did catch up a little bit after I used my quirk to reset my mascara.

His only reason for returning to Japan, instead of spreading the IzaYao company over in Europe, was to walk his daughter down the aisle on her special day. I may have had to reset my mascara once again when I heard that.

Some people might be asking why I wasn't mad at Dio for just walking into my life after so long. Well, it's rather simple, I already had given up hope of having a father in this lifetime.

This, combined with the shitty father I had in my original life, made me a bit thankful that he wasn't in my life for so long. In my mind, no father was better than a shit one.

There were plenty of other factors that helped me in ignoring/accepting his absence too, but I wouldn't get into them now. We broke off as the ceremony would be starting soon.

The classical music kicked in. As soon as it did, Reiko and Yui linked with each other's arms before proceeding down the aisle. They were soon followed by Tsuyu and Mina. Then our maids of honor, Toga, and Kendo linked arms with the best man Kirishima before walking down the aisle.

Kirishima didn't wait at the altar like the others. Instead, he sat in the front row until his time came. It was to keep everything symmetrical.

When they left, butterflies began forming in my stomach, uneasiness pooling within my lower body. I was extremely nervous. It was decided that Momo and I would enter at the same time.

There was a partition blocking our view, so we couldn't see each other until we reached the altar. My father gave my arm a reassuring squeeze before the door opened once again. The music kicked in as I walked behind my little angel Eri who was both the flower girl and ring bearer for today.

She wore a little pink dress and carried a little weave basket that held both the rings and the petals. I was nervous she would toss the rings in the air along with the blue and red petals. She was absolutely adorable. Seeing her enjoying herself eased my nervousness immensely.

I slowed down time and began enjoying the moment, my moment. The grand hall was decorated with various flowers and ribbons.

My friends and family were there, watching me as I walked down the aisle, some tearing up.

My little girl was in front of me, leading me to my new life with my own family with both her and Momo.

The camera shutters from the maids, probably on my mother's request, were going off like crazy.

It was magical.

Before I knew it, I was at the altar, standing opposite my fiance, no. My wife, Momo Yaoyorozu. She was stunning. The pink dress suited her wonderfully, her skin was glistening under the overhead lights, and her makeup was perfectly done.

(A/N: Image here ← )

Gazing into her Onyx eyes through both of our veils was a mesmerizing experience. Without knowing it, a "Beautiful" slipped out of my mouth, causing Momo's smile to widen considerably. The priest started soon after my comment,

"Now, I am under the assumption that you both have prepared your own vows for today. If that is the case, please speak now."

"" It is.""

"So which one of us goes first? I'm more than happy to let you do it first, Momo, so I can keep enjoying the view."

"Thank you, dear.

Sakuya, I have often said you are my anchor, my rock- supporting me on many journeys and steadying me with your love. On this day, in front of all of our friends and family, I pledge my steadiness to you.

Sakuya, I have learned so much from you- your honesty and integrity have taught me to be true to myself and others. Your thoughtfulness and generosity have taught me to give with intention.

Your playfulness in the light of my humor has taught me to expand my definition of 'silly,' and your willingness to try new things has taught me to expand my definition of adventure.

You have helped me fight my inner demons on so many occasions. I feel stronger in your presence and able to take on life, knowing you are always in my corner. I am so fortunate to have you as my lifetime companion.

It seems like a lifetime ago that I met you and thought to myself, "She's a keeper." We have certainly gone through many ups and downs since then. Through all of this, you have been my companion, my best friend, my playmate, and the love of my life.

Sakuya, I need you to know, I do not say these things lightly. After much consideration and soul-searching, I am certain that I am ready to make this kind of commitment!

Sakuya, my love, I promise to hold you lightly, but firmly as we venture through life together.

I promise to always defend your right to be you- courageous, honest, full of light.

I promise to care for you when you are sick and celebrate with you in health.

I promise to remember that our highest values of community, spirituality, justice, environment, and levity always come before & above material possessions.

I promise to hold my dreams and to encourage you in holding yours as we build new ones together.

I promise to laugh often and pull together during hard times. I promise to work to be my best, most authentic self, every day.

And so, Sakuya, today I pledge my love to you. I will be your ardent lover, your faithful companion, your steadfast friend, your greatest cheerleader, and above all, hold you gently, but firmly, as the love of my life as long as we both shall live."

There was a standing ovation from those present after such beautiful vows. As it was my time, I knew what I had to say. All the previous worrying about my vows were for naught.

"Oh, god, Momo. That was so beautiful. If I wasn't using my quirk to freeze my tear ducts, I would be crying my eyes out right now."

Chuckles reverberated around the hall. Even Momo had a few.

"Momo, my love, you have changed my life.

You have taught me to love with abandon and to take the risk of vulnerability.

I love you - not only for what you are but also for what I am when I'm with you. Not only for what you have made of yourself but for what you are helping me make of myself.

You have been my companion on adventures and a confidant for my soul.

You have challenged me to see greatness in myself and have celebrated my successes---great and small.

You have inspired me to be a better, more generous, and loving me, and have believed in me when I have not believed in myself.

I love you for the part of me that you bring out, I love you for putting your hand into my heaped-up heart And passing over all the defensive, hurt things that you didn't know existed, And for drawing out into the light all the beautiful belongings that no one else had looked quite far enough to find.

I want to laugh, cry, plan, adventure, and live a zestful life with you.

This commitment is very serious to me. I am so delighted to be standing here today.

I promise to share my life openly with you;

To cherish your uniqueness;

To honor your spirit and to listen intently;

To hold you gently when you are afraid;

And to softly kiss you when you are hurting.

With patience and compassion, I promise to support you through the changes and challenges of our lives together.

I promise to be faithful and honest, and to stand by your side, as we grow old together.

I promise to always be by your side in your time of need, whether that be emotionally or physically.

I promise as a future hero to not only protect the people but to protect you and our relationship from all outside interference so that we remain safe and happy forever.

I promise to dance in the moonlight, skinny dip in the lake, and soar high above the clouds with you.

I delight in who you are becoming and promise to encourage the fulfillment of your dreams.

Together, we will broaden our horizons and expand our own boundaries. Together, we will explore the limitless wonders of the world and revel in its beauty.

Companion, lover, best friend, playmate --- I promise to be the very best me that I can…. For you, for us, for Eri, and for all of time."

After spilling my heart out in front of everyone, the applause started once more, along with many tears. Momo's mascara was streaking down her face as she didn't have the luxury of time stop. She managed to get a squeaky, "I love you so much" before I fixed her makeup, and the priest started once more.

"Now that the brides have said their part, I believe it's my time to say mine.

We gather here to unite these two wonderful people in marriage. Their decision to marry has not been entered into lightly, and today they publicly declared their private devotion to each other.

The essence of this commitment is the acceptance of each other in its entirety, as lovers, companions, and friends.

A good and balanced relationship is one in which neither person is overpowered nor absorbed by the other, one in which neither person is possessive of the other, one in which both give their love freely and without jealousy.

Marriage, ideally, is a sharing of responsibilities, hopes, and dreams.

It takes a special effort to grow together, survive hard times, and be

loving and unselfish."

Letting his words sink in for a moment before he continued on,

"Do you both pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and

to speak the truth in love?

Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for one another, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all

the days of your lives?"

"" I do""

"Do you pledge to share your love and the joys of your marriage with

all those around you, so that they may learn from your love and be

encouraged to grow in their own lives?"

"" I do""

Soon Eri came up to the altar with the ring cushion in her hand. Laid upon the cushion are two platinum fenton rings with a 10mm ruby and sapphire gem, respectively. She happily held up the cushion to us, Momo and me taking each other's rings before the priest continued.

"May these rings be blessed as a symbol of your union. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you not only be reminded of this moment but also of the vows you have made and the strength of your commitment to each other.

Sakuya, please repeat after me …."

"" I Sakuya, promise to love and support you, Momo, and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring, I thee wed.""

I took the glove off of Momo's left hand before sliding the ruby ring gently onto the ring finger.

"Momo, please repeat after me ..."

"" I, Momo, promise to love and support you, Sakuya, and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring, I thee wed.""

Momo proceeded to do the same as I did just before, just with the sapphire ring this time.

"Go now in peace and live in love, sharing the most precious gifts you have, the gifts of your lives united. And may your days be long on this earth. I now pronounce you both officially married. You may kiss now."

Lifting each other's veils, our lips locked in a tender, passionate kiss in front of everyone. It lasted until we needed to pull back for breath, and with our enhanced bodies, that was a long time.

As the cheers died down, we decided that it was time for us to move on with the day. We all went and had pictures taken in the church's garden. They all came out beautifully. Especially the one with Momo and I kissing the cheeks of Eri, who blushed in embarrassment.

When the time to have food came, I was pleasantly surprised, especially with the huge four-tier chocolate wedding cake. The menu was quite extensive too.

For the appetizer, there was a five legume minestrone with a rich tomato broth and terrage basil.

The salad was romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese and dressed with garlic and lemon drizzle.

The entrées consisted of Chicken supreme wrapped in pancetta. Served with vegetable ratatouille and crispy polenta. Garden herb-crusted rack of lamb served with gorgonzola gratin potato and a port wine reduction. Beef tenderloin au poivre served with caramelized onion, gratin potato, and a brandy mustard sauce.

For dessert was a chocolate and liquor-soaked cherry wedding cake.

The day went on and on. It was a rather long day. The speeches took place during the dinner.

Toga expressed her thankfulness for both of us entering her lives and saving her from her fate.

My mother and Momo's mother just kept embarrassing us with every detail throughout our short-lived lives.

Itsuka gave a speech about how single this entire event made her feel.

Kirishima kept going on and on about how manly we were at a lesbian wedding.

They all paled in comparison to Eri's speech, though,

"U-um, hello? Grandma asked me to say something about today and how I feel about it all.

I am happy! Mommy and Mama are finally together, and that makes me happy…

I love them both so soooo much. I'm happy they love each other as much as I love them.

They both want to be heroes when they are older, and that always confuses me. They are already both my heroes. They already saved me when my bad mommy threw me away.

They accepted me into their house and family and gave me lots of love! I'm happy that they both are happy.

Thank you..."

That was an emotional moment for not only me but for Momo too. We both peppered her with cuddles and kisses when she came over to our table once more.

We both went home that night and slept in each other's embrace, keeping it purely wholesome as our honeymoon was in a week.
