Chapter 14:

Waking up the next day, I was greeted with a sight that would never get old, Momo sleeping next to me. Her raven hair splayed out behind her, reflecting the orange dawn light that managed to break through the crack in the curtain, almost sparkling like a miniature galaxy. Her eyelids shut tight, hiding the onyx gem-like eyes behind them. Her dainty hands wrapped around my waist as if I'm her lifeline, burying her face into my ample chest. I could see a small smile gracing her lips as I calmly ran my fingers through her long hair.

It was a peaceful start to an eventful day.

'I should probably buy a truck the same model as Truck-kun and use it as a shrine for the truck gods. I do have him(?) to thank for this lovely second chance at life. Definitely worth having my muscles completely eviscerated onto hot asphalt by being run over.'

I have a lot scheduled for today. There's the apprenticeship that I have with Chiyo, a kidnapping to commit, a favor to call in with Fluffy-chan, and adoption papers to fill out. Yep, today I'm going unicorn hunting.

While mulling over my game plan for today, I didn't notice that Momo was stirring awake. What caused me to notice was the vice grip Momo was having on my torso. Peering down, I met her onyx eyes. She was still tired and very comfortable, but unfortunately, she also needed to wake up as she has her apprenticeship scheduled with Sir Nighteye for today. I ran my fingers through her hair once more, gripping the back of her head softly, arching her head up to face me as I did so, and gave her a peck on the lips.

"You can't sleep all day, babe. You know how much Sir Nighteye hates rescheduling things, and this apprenticeship has been really helping you out."

"But I'm so comfy. Sir can see the future, so he should know I'm comfy and wouldn't want to disturb that."

Giving her a peck on the lips one more time, I replied, "Yes, but so can I. He would be mad today and strap you into the tickle machine if you don't turn up."

The mention of the tortu- tickle machine was enough to remind her of the severity of the situation, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get up and ready!"

"You say that babe, yet you are still snuggling into me," I remarked, chuckling at her antics.

"Just use your quirk and let me feel like I cuddled you for a bit longer, please."

'She's getting sneaky. She's pulling off the forbidden move. The puppy dog eyes.'

Sighing slightly before I replied, "Sure, babe, you can have ten more minutes cuddling."

I used my quirk to alter her perception of time so that one second for everyone else would be one minute to her. Ten seconds later, I fixed her perception of time. It took some more convincing, but she did finally get up. We stretched for a bit before making our way over to the bathroom, not before I made sure to call a maid over to get our clothing ready.

Stripping bare, I make my way to the door that leads to the showers. Looking back, I see a fully clothed Momo staring at my body. Noticing that she was staring, she hurriedly averted her eyes,

"Ara ara~ You can stare all you want, babe. Or is it that you want help stripping? How naughty~."

Not trusting her that her voice wouldn't squeak, Momo could only offer a shake of her head in response. Chuckling at her embarrassed expression, I opened the door. Seeing that the bath was already ran for us both, I made my way over to the stool. Sitting down on it, I began lathering the coconut body wash all over myself, causing coconut-scented suds and bubbles to form. Hearing the door open, I look over to see a nude Momo.

'She looks great with her hair down like that. Maybe I should convince her to let it down when alone with me.'

"Babe, could you help me out and wash my hair for me?"

"Sure, as long as you do the same for me. I love my long hair, but it's a pain to manage at times."

"You didn't even need to ask; you wouldn't be able to stop me from touching your silky hair."

What followed that exchange was some of the most sensual hair washing and scalp massaging I think I could ever experience and perform. Rinsing myself off, I relaxed in the bath. Momo soon joined me and sat on my lap as per usual. There are four things that give me the most pleasure in life: choccy milk, good food, Momo, and a nice warm bath. There are probably plenty of other things that give me pleasure, but those were the four that came to mind, and right now, I'm able to enjoy two of those four. As we were soaking in the warm liquid, I started speaking,

"Babe, how do you feel about unicorns?"

"I think they're one of the prettier mythological creatures. Why?" she replied, feeling perplexed.

"Well, I am going Unicorn hunting after I'm finished with Chiyo today."

"Unicorn hunting? And how are you going to go about doing that? They aren't exactly real."

"You know how I can see into the future and past, yeah?"

"Yes?"

"Well, I managed to find a unicorn on one of my peering sessions. It's recently lost its father, and its mother no longer wants it anymore, so how would you feel about adopting it?"

"Aww, that's pretty sad; I can't imagine someone doing that to their child. If you feel like you would be responsible when taking care of it, I'd be more than happy to take care of a Unicorn with you, dear."

I could only celebrate mentally as phase one of convincing was complete. Now it's time for stage two,

"Yeah, leaving a child like that all alone after it just lost its father is beyond scummy." earning a hum in response from Momo. I continued after a few seconds,

"How do you feel about kids babe, I know we can't reproduce together normally, you know, being both females. But if there was a way to have a child of our own, even adopted, how would you feel about it?"

"Hmmm? Well, I'd love to start a family with you, dear. But as you said, unless we can find someone with a gender-swapping quirk, it would be impossible to conceive on our own. As for adoption, I'm open to it." she took a breath before continuing,

"There's just a lot we have to put into thought when doing so, like, should we make them the heirs to the conglomerate or not, what background have they come from, their personalities, age, etc. We have more than enough money to provide for the child and are more mature than most our age, well I am at least-"

"Ouch, I'm very mature, you know?"

"But yeah… I'd love a little family of our own."

"Well, we can treat the little unicorn as our child if you want."

"I'd like that."

Soaking in the bath for a few more minutes before Momo and I decided it was best to get going to our respective apprenticeships. When the car arrived at Nigheye's agency, I told Momo that she shouldn't wait for me as I had to go somewhere this afternoon. Arriving at the UA, I stepped out of the car, walking up to the gate where I used my temporary ID to enter without setting off the security system.

It was currently a school day, so UA was packed to the brim with students looking my way, curiosity apparent in their eyes as I wasn't a teacher, nor a pro hero, nor a student. It was confusing to the student populace, but their confidence when walking stopped any attempts they would have made to question me regarding their doubts. I found myself in front of the staff room before I knew it. Opening the door, I was met with a common sight.

Homeless-san was sleeping on the floor, Midnight was making innuendos, Vlad King was sipping on some tea with Lego-kun, Present Mic was singing to himself, Snipe was polishing his revolver, Ectoplasm was grading papers with Hound dog, and Recovery Girl was complaining about something. This mess of a group are the people that teach the next generation of heroes.

"Chiyo-chan~ Is Fluffy-chan here today? I need him for something."

"Ah, hello, Sakuya. He's in his office over there," she pointed in the direction of the principal's office. It had a smaller door on the bottom of the door reminiscent of a cat flap for Fluffy-chan's use. Thanking Chiyo, I opened the door, not bothering to knock because the chimera was probably watching me through the cameras as soon as I entered anyway.

"Yo, Fluffy-chan~."

"Good morning Miss Izayoi. Can I interest you in a game?" the plushie replied, pulling out a chessboard from who knows where. I gave a nod, knowing that If I refused, he would have sulked.

He doesn't get many challenges when it comes to games of chess. Still, when you can see all possible futures and abuse it to win matches. There's not much else that the super-intelligent chimera could ask for in a challenge: a seemingly impossible goal, a puzzle waiting to be solved, a mountain to be climbed. The current score was 12:0 in my favor, but that's to be expected.

"So what has brought you to my office this time around? I doubt it's for a match."

"Well, I need you to work some of your big brain magic and get me some adoption papers drawn up for a girl named Eri."

"Simple enough, but why would I be needed for this? Surely you can do this with your mother."

"Haha, that's just the thing~ I may not have told her about it. Plus, the child is just going to be thrown out on the streets anyway, so I should do my sovereign duty as a future pro hero and adopt the unicorn child."

"You want to adopt her because she has a unicorn quirk?"

"No, no, no. Don't be silly, Fluffy-chan. I'm doing this because I'm one of 3 people that could adopt her without being completely erased from existence."

"Oh? So she has an erasure-type quirk, does she? That's pretty dangerous. I assume that one of the other people that could adopt her is Eraserhead; who is the last?"

"Have you ever heard the three musketeers' motto, Nedzu?"

It only happened for a split second, but the shock was very evident in the beady eyes of the principal. It wasn't hard for him to connect the dots because All Might could barely take care of himself, let alone a child.

"It seems you figured it out, Fluffy-chan, and for your information, Eri has a temporal quirk. Namely the ability to rewind things to their previous states. You wouldn't want the big bad of the underworld to have that quirk in his arsenal, now would you?"

"No, no, we wouldn't. You would probably be the best option to take care of her too despite your age-"

"Well, technically, with all the time I spent in stopped time, I am currently in my mid-twenties. It's just I didn't want to turn up to junior high with such a mature figure as it would raise some questions."

"That at least makes this somewhat better. If you could, I would prefer it if you age yourself up to at least 18 years of age. It would save you and me a lot of time asking questions in the future. If anyone asks, then say that you hit a quirk-induced growth spurt." He took a sip of his tea before continuing,

"But yes, you would probably be the best. With all the information you have given me, I can only assume that she has a stockpiling mutation/emitter hybrid quirk. Stockpilers are notoriously hard to control at young ages, and if her quirk is as powerful as I fear it might be, she might accidentally erase people. Sure, Eraserhead could adopt her too, but when she wants to sleep with him because of night terrors or something, and it activates when he's asleep? He would be dead before sunrise. Your absolute control of time and ability to exist unaffected by time would make you the best candidate to avoid any accidental erasure incidents."

"I'm glad you see it my way, Fluffy-chan~!"

"We could also use your MQP as a more legal reason for a thirteen-year-old to adopt this Eri. She would require help, and you would be the only person that could safely offer help to the child. There is also the added fact that nobody wants to mess with an heiress of the IzaYao conglomerate."

After having all the details ironed out about the adoption of the unicorn, we began discussing topics. Like what his alternate selves are doing atm, quirk awakenings, societal issues, among plenty of other issues. He agreed to allow me to awaken his quirk, only if I altered his perception of time so it would be over in a split second.

I could only click my tongue in annoyance. The wailing and squirming were the best part. His quirk High Specs evolved, which allowed a form of thought acceleration of up to 1000x to develop. It wasn't a combat-oriented use, but it was a fantastic thing for Fluffy-chan as he was over the moon when he heard it.

Leaving the room, I heard him muttering something along the lines of redoing everything. What 'everything' entailed is up for debate, but I knew I should take my leave for now. I found myself in the infirmary with Chiyo later on, looking after the students that keep getting injured.

One of the future Big 3, Nejire Hado, is a regular in the infirmary. It wasn't because she kept getting injured, no. It was because her quirk uses her stamina, and she doesn't ever want to stop using it. As a result, she passes out due to exhaustion almost every day. She keeps increasing her stamina every day, and there was a visible improvement because she finds herself on the beds later and later into the school day each time.

I shortly found out that Nejire needs to hug something when sleeping. Otherwise, she gets antsy. Most times, her girlfriend Yuyu Haya is the victim of the periwinkle koala. However, when she is busy and can't stay for long, I offer up my arm as a tribute to the cuddle demon. Luckily I'm ambidextrous and can still fill in any paperwork needed and make clones for anything that requires moving.

Nothing eventful happened during the day in the infirmary. I mean, if you can count the fact some random support course student got beaten up for taking pictures of the girls in the hero course for 'creative inspiration' eventful, more power to you. We didn't even bother healing him fully after learning of his deeds. I just made sure he would be able to turn up the next day before throwing him out again.

After my apprenticeship had ended for the day, I thanked Chiyo for her time and made my way to the front gate. I was waiting for twelve minutes on my phone before my ride came. Upon entering the car, I informed the driver that I would need to be in Koenji soon and make haste. I made sure to direct the limo to the street where my baby unicorn would be abandoned, and we waited there. We made small talk about our days for a good seventeen minutes.

Then I saw it. A middle-aged woman pushing a baby stroller walked into an alleyway, and not even ten seconds later was nonchalantly walking out of the same alleyway with no baby stroller in hand. Making sure that the entire exchange was recorded, I made my way out of the car and started walking towards the alley. The closer I got, the louder the crying became. I subconsciously hurried my steps the closer I went.

I was met with the sight of a baby, a little horn poking out of her forehead in cake-covered clothing, seated in a baby stroller parked up near the garbage bins. Tears were running down her cheeks, her wails breaking my heart as she cried out for attention. Before I knew it, I was tearing up.

Picking the child up, I looked into her crimson eyes before saying,

"Hey, there, sweetie. Why are you crying?"

The unicorn could only babble as if it knew what I was saying. Looking around, I couldn't even find a note.

'Wow, what a bitch, didn't even leave a letter. She literally threw her away into the trash. How vile.'

I tilted my head, and Eri leaned hers to match mine. Smiling a little, she copied that, only giving a toothless smile in response that resembled a banana-haired hero I knew. "Well, aren't you adorable? How about you come with me now, yeah?" Her smile seemed to brighten up even more at this; hope dwelled deep in her eyes. Maybe someone would want a monster with a curse like hers were thoughts that plagued the little one's mind.

Starting to walk out of the alley, the child in hand, I felt another presence.

'It seems like that scumbag decided to come out of his BDSM dungeon he calls a villain base.'

I turned around and what I saw confirmed my suspicion of the person's identity. It was a man with brown hair wearing a plague doctor's mask and a jacket staring at me, probably in hopes of intimidating me. "Good, you found my daughter." Oh god, his acting was terrible, and even if I didn't have meta and future knowledge, I would have never believed him in the first place. Eri, seeing the man, blew a raspberry at him.

"Now that's not nice, sweetie, doing that to your father? How rude."

His entire body language was throwing off flags like crazy. I can only imagine what would have happened if Mirio decided to knock his ass out on their first meeting. It's not like he didn't have anything to get him by. The child he was claiming was his was in dirty rags and covered in bandages. That would have amounted to a child neglect and possible abuse case, and they would have had enough to detain him on sight.

'Maybe his brain and common sense phased out of his body.'

"Let's say I believe this pathetic attempt of a lie you are spouting. Why was she just abandoned in an alleyway by a person who ran away after doing so?"

"Some guy took her and left her here."

"Is that so? You don't see much alike. You clearly don't have a horn mutation. I could maybe stretch it and say you have a bird mutation with that ugly ass plague doctor mask on your face. Not to mention every other feature of your disgusting face."

"She was given to me by her birth mother, who didn't want her anymore. She said she was a curse. Can you believe that? She's such a sweet child too."

"So the birth mother gave her to you, but a guy took her and left her here?"

"Of course"

"But she was dropped here by her birth mother, not some random guy as you claim."

His expression, somehow, turned even uglier than it already was. He started removing his gloves. Not having any of this, I stopped time and looked around for any potential CCTV cameras. Noting that there were none and no video, I had enough of his existence. Turning Eri to face over my shoulder, I stretched my hand out and completely deleted him. I had no time to deal with his stupid quirk nor his pathetic yakuza cell.

Hari Kurono or Chronostasis will probably take over the trigger business and eventually lead to them being taken down in a raid as their primary threat in Overhaul will be gone.

Maybe Rappa will go back to underground quirk fighting rings when he realizes that their boss is gone. He would make a great bodyguard; perhaps I can snag him before he becomes too infamous. If I can't snag him for myself, I can probably convince Fluffy-chan to take him on as a CQC instructor. Why bother doing all of this for Rappa? I thought he was a pretty cool dude.

I unfroze time and started making my way to the car. Eri was in my arms and snuggling deep into my chest, probably trying to get some semblance of warmth. I can't blame her; it is pretty chilly. Sitting down in the limo, I strapped myself in and sat Eri down in my lap. The driver was sweating bullets,

"Lady Sakuya?"

"Yes?"

"Is that a child on your lap right now?"

"Yes."

"Did you… did you kidnap someone?"

"Perhaps. Can you start driving home now? I have to gather my thoughts on how to explain this to my mother."

Maybe it was my blank tone or the fact I just committed a crime, but he rushed out an agreement and started driving. During the drive, I used my quirk to make Eri return to her actual age of four; she must have accidentally used her quirk on herself. She must have noticed her changes as her vocal cords were working correctly.

"There we go, good as new. Don't you agree, Eri?"

"U-um, how do you know my name?"

"Well, I have a quirk like you. It lets me know a lot of things in the future and many other things. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I forgot such a sweet girl's name."

Ruffling her hair as I spoke, she seemed to lean into my touch with a blissful smile on her face. It seems the curses her mother said to her affected her to the point she craves affection from motherly figures. She started tearing up a little, probably remembering that she was just abandoned not even three minutes ago.

"U-Uno Miss, what's a quirk?"

"Well, sweetie, it's a thing that makes people unique in this world. They give special powers and boosts," I touched the point of her horn, "Just like your adorable little horn does."

"B-But mommy said my horn was a curse. A-Am I demon?"

Wrapping my arms around her petite waist, I pull her closer into my lap before saying,

"Sweetie, you aren't a demon. You're an adorable unicorn. Also, that bad person doesn't have any right to be your mommy anymore after she left you there."

Eri began looking down, tears hitting her tiny clenched fists, "I-I-I'm all alone now, aren't I? Mommy didn't want me, and papa is gone." my heart broke the longer she spoke, "I'm a bad girl, aren't I?"

"No, no, no, sweetie, you aren't-"

"I AM! O-otherwise, mommy would have kept me."

"Aww, sweetie, your mommy is the bad person here, not you. A good mommy would never have left you in that dirty place all alone. You remember how I said I could see the future?"

Eri was too busy sniffling to reply, so she could only nod her head in response, "Well, you want to know what I saw in the future?" I once again received a shaky nod.

"I saw the sweetest angel. She used her wonderful quirk to save so many people. She was suuuper cool too. Always saving the people with a smile on her face, you want to know who she was?"

"Un!"

"It was you, Eri." Booping her on the nose, I earned a giggle before continuing, "You are such a good girl. You make me look like a bad girl in comparison."

"But you're a good girl!"

"Well, that makes you an even good-er girl than me, doesn't it?"

She didn't reply, but the smile on her face was enough to answer for her. Stroking her snow-white hair, she curled up into me.

"You know Eri; I can be your new mommy if you want. I'm already part of one big family, with so many people. I'm sure they would love it if you became part of our family. What do you say?"

"Yes, please..."

"Alright, sweetie," I pulled out a stack of adoption papers where all I needed was her signature, "You see that line? If you want me to be your mommy legally, you have to write your name there, okay?"

An eager nod was all I got as her small hands quickly scribbled her name down. "Welcome, to my family Eri, you can call me mama if you want. If you see someone who looks like an older version of me, you have to call them grandma too."

'I need Eri to work her cute charms to make sure the discussion with my mother goes over well. A single grandma coming from Eri's cute face would be enough to demolish her defenses, muahahaha. Damn, an evil laugh sounds so much cooler when other people do it.'

"Okay, mama."

Metaphorical lightning struck my body. Are cute children that call you mama every Izayoi's weakness? A smile blossomed on my face.

The driver was losing his mind. One second the young miss kidnaps a child. The next, the child was crying in the back, and now the young miss has officially adopted said child! How long has she been planning this child heist?

"Oh, and sweetie, if I tell you someone is called Momo, you call them mommy too."

"Mhm!"

Taking choccy milk out of my bag, I pierce the top of the carton and hand it to Eri. Time to convert her into a choccy milk addict. She started sipping it slowly before soon speeding up after the taste hit her. Yes! She's a kindred spirit! Seeing the disappointed expression on her face as she finished the carton, I gave her another one,

"Make sure to slow down this time, sweetie. I don't have many of those on me."

Soon the house came into view. I quickly shot a text to my mother saying that I had become a mother and her granddaughter was outside. The results were immediate, the front door swung open, and there she was. My mother.

"You see that woman at the front door, Eri? She's your grandma."

"Mhm, grandma is pretty."

The car parked right in front of the door, and my mother was staring me down through the tinted glass. Having had enough of the stalemate, I opened the door and led Eri to the front door. I squeezed her hand, which was the signal,

"Hello, grandma!"

'Couldn't have done it better myself, Eri. That smile, the cheery wave, the enthusiasm. It was sure to be a critical hit on my mother.' I was right.

Eri used greeting.

It was super effective.

Mother has fainted.

It was a critical hit.

"Way to go, sweetie, let's take her inside for now."

Picking my mother up, I carried her to the living room. The maids were freaking out for reasons similar to the driver earlier.

"Decrement, could you be a dear and fetch some of my old Pajamas for my daughter? Foss, can you get something light for her to eat, please?"

""Of course, Lady Sakuya.""

They both bowed before leaving. Knowing that Momo was in the house, I took a quick selfie with Eri and sent it to her. It was titled 'Unicorn hunting = accomplished.' The flurry of texts I got from her as she made her way downstairs was astronomical.

After a very, very, very long discussion with Momo and how I brought up, she already agreed to it earlier that day. She wanted to adopt a unicorn. Eri has one horn. She was up for adoption of a child of our own. Eri is a child. Of course, there was a lot more convincing after those points were brought up. But all arguments went out of the window when Eri started tearing up. The real kicker was her next words,

"M-Mama, mommy doesn't want me does she?"

Yeah, Momo caved in soon after. She soon learned that she had the dote skill at level 100 and began fussing over everything Eri would need. Eri just sat through this all on my lap, happily nibbling on some fruit salad Foss bought over.

My mother woke up after the salad was finished. She was much more open to me adopting a child, mainly because I can make clones and make sure she isn't alone and is fully attended to. The sob story of Eri's circumstances, combined with me being one of the few people that could help her train, helped win her over even more. All the signatures needed for adoption were now signed on the paper. All that was needed was for it to be filed the following day by Fluffy-chan.

My mother started doting on her, similar to Momo just before. Fortunately, Eri yawned. Looking out the window, I saw it was already dark outside. Carrying Eri in my arms, I made my way over to my bedroom.

Eri didn't have enough energy left in her, so I had to change her into the cute cat onesie that Momo made with her quirk. Laying her down in the middle of the bed, I laid down next to her. Momo, getting the hint, shut the lights off and went to the opposite side of Eri. Her new family now surrounded Eri, and I think she could tell if the smile on her sleeping face was anything to go by. She turned in her sleep and started snuggling into my chest. Momo put on a fake hurt expression,

"Can't believe it, it's only been a few hours, and she already has a favorite."

"Can you blame her, dear? I'm your favorite too. She clearly has good taste."

I pecked her on the lips before we both drifted off in each other's arms, shielding Eri from any harm that may come. A new member of our family has appeared.

Creation is hard, cheer me up! Like the book? Review it!

A big chappy for you lovely people, I saw we finally have a star rating. That's wonderful! It means that the story would be more enticing to the average reader (If it's a high one that is *sweats*) and would let even more people notice my book. Love ya'll.

We finally get the Unicorn in the chapter. I wasn't about to let her be a blood bank for her childhood. Is anyone gonna miss overhaul? No? Me neither.

Hope you all enjoy the fic and as usual, any and all criticism is greatly appreciated.
