Chapter 4: Night Terrors

It's like I'm captivated by a world that I can't escape from. The masked man locked me in the basement, along with the memories. Everything I once knew was gone. I scream for help; nobody can hear me.

She hired the man to get rid of me, the girl who stole the boys. The next thing I know: I'm waking up in the middle of a sea storm. Where am I? The waves are making me sick. "Help!" I cry out where nobody can hear me.

I feel the ship sinking. I fall off the deck into the water. "Welcome to the underworld: Camden." I hear coming from behind me. Looking around, I see a man with blue hair staring at me. "You're never leaving Camden." He tells me while I begin to scream. "Forever Camden." His voice gets wicked each time he says my name. "Camden, Camden, Camden." I feel shaking; I can't force my eyes open. "Camden, wake up!" I manage to open my eyes. I find myself Waking up to a pile of sweat and a blurry vision of a man. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" I scream at the blurry image in front of me. "They're back again." I hear another voice say. "Let me handle this one, Nash."

The blurry man walks out while I'm still shaking. "Hey, you're okay now. It was only a nightmare; you're safe with me." A very gentle voice tells me. "I promised you from day one I'd never let anything hurt you." Before I could even think twice: I found myself nuzzled up into the arms of the man.

"I'm sorry, sissy I know I fucked up. I shouldn't have lied about not having you in my life. The older boys wanted to find a way to forget how much they missed you. They did it in the wrong way; I'm sorry."

I feel safe at this moment. "I missed you.." I whispered. "I missed you more: little one. I'll be here when you wake up." With that, I was able to fall back asleep.

I should've known it wouldn't last. I wake up in an empty room. I walk downstairs to the smell of waffles waiting on me. "Good morning Sunshine."

Nash says to me with a grin on his face.

"Hey!" I giggle. "Do you know where the three asses are?" I ask him. "I watched Zayn run out with some chick. I don't know about the others." I sigh at that news. "He didn't mean what he said last night," I tell Nash.

"What did he say to you, darling?" He asks me. I feel him in on the conversation I had with Zayn last night. "Baby, I'm so sorry." I don't know what to believe anymore. "I think I'm going to take a walk," I tell Nash.

I grab my things and head outside. Maybe one day I won't be alone. At least there's a nice breeze out here. I wish I knew the truth about why they're acting so differently.

I sit on a bench when I finally make it to the park. Out of the corner of my eye, I see what looks like Duke making out with someone. Zayn is sitting with Jax.

I sneak around to where I can hear their conversation better. "Do you think we must treat Cam like this if we want her back?" I hear Zayn ask Jax. "I don't care if it hurts her. She can get over it.

She asked for it when she left three years ago. In my eyes, she's nothing more than a little bitch who doesn't belong with us." Jax informs him. I feel my eyes start to water.

I must have missed the part about being quiet during a stakeout. Both boys looked up at me in horror. "Cam. Wait." Jax tries to get my attention: but it's too late. I'm running as fast as I can. I run into the middle of the street without noticing. The next thing I know I'm knocked unconscious.
