Draco

The village, known as Arcane Haven, sits in a valley embraced by towering peaks on all sides. Lush, emerald-green meadows stretch across the valley floor, dotted with wildflowers and delicate herbs that are sought after by the village's resident mages for their potent magical properties. The babbling Crystalbrook River flows through the heart of the settlement, its clear waters shimmering under the golden rays of the sun.

This was the hometown of Draco, lying at the base of the western mountains of the district.

The village itself consists of quaint, thatched-roof cottages made from local stone and timber, their walls adorned with intricate runes and sigils. The architecture seamlessly blends with the natural surroundings, as if the village itself is an extension of the land's magical essence. Narrow cobblestone pathways wind through the village, leading to various enchanting spots.

At the village center lies the bustling Arcane Square, where the villagers gather to exchange magical knowledge, trade enchanted artifacts, and share tales of their mystical adventures. The square is adorned with an ornate fountain, its water cascading down shimmering tiers and emitting a faint, soothing hum. Mages often gather around the fountain, drawing inspiration from the gentle resonance and engaging in spirited discussions about arcane theories.

The village also boasts a grand Mage Tower, a spiraling structure that reaches toward the sky. Its majestic silhouette dominates the village skyline, and it serves as a focal point for the magical energies that flow through Arcane Haven. The Tower houses an extensive library, where ancient tomes and spellbooks line the shelves, waiting to impart their wisdom to those seeking to delve into the secrets of magic.

As the sun sets behind the majestic western mountains, the village transforms into a breathtaking spectacle. The evening sky is illuminated by ethereal lights, casting a soft glow over the village. Luminescent orbs hover in the air, casting enchanting shadows across the landscape. It is during this time that the village's mages come alive, practicing their spells and honing their craft, their magical displays creating a captivating dance of lights and colors.

The villagers themselves are a diverse community of mages, each specializing in their own unique magical disciplines. From elementalists who command fire and water to illusionists who weave illusions that can fool the eye, from healers who mend wounds with a touch to enchanters who imbue objects with magical properties, the village is a hub of magical diversity and expertise.

Life in Arcane Haven is harmonious and steeped in magic. The villagers share a deep respect for the forces that bind them together, and they work collectively to protect the village from any threats that may arise. The village is a sanctuary for mages seeking solace, knowledge, and camaraderie in a world that often fails to understand their gifts.

This was Arcane Haven before the Hounds ripped the world apart. The Mages were forced to unite with the rest of Shing in defense against their common enemy.

After the war, the Mage sect was set up including mages as one of the anchors of the Shing military.

Draco had always known that he was different from the other children in his village. For one thing, he had been born out of wedlock, the result of a brief affair between his mother, a temple servant, and the High Wizard of the sect.

For another, he had always had a strange feeling that he was not alone in his own mind.

Growing up, Draco struggled to make sense of these feelings. He was a bright child, with a natural aptitude for magic, but he found it hard to focus on his studies when he was constantly plagued by strange, otherworldly voices and urges that seemed to come from deep within his own mind.

But as he grew older, Draco's inner demons began to take on a life of their own. He found himself slipping into trances and losing control of his body, as though he was no longer the master of his own mind. At times, he would wake up to find himself in places he did not remember going, or having done things that he had no recollection of.

At first, Draco was frightened by these experiences, but over time he began to learn to coexist with his other personalities. There was the calm and collected Draco, who handled the day-to-day business of running his household and managing his magical duties. There was the impulsive and reckless Draven, who reveled in danger and thrill-seeking, and the sly and manipulative Dracul, who was an expert in the art of politics and strategy.

These personalities were not separate individuals, but rather facets of Draco's own psyche, each one manifesting when needed to help him achieve his goals. At times, they clashed with each other, causing Draco to suffer from debilitating headaches and mental fatigue. But for the most part, they coexisted in an uneasy truce, working together to keep Draco functioning in the world.

Despite the difficulties Draco faced for being the bastard son of a temple servant, he was determined to make something of himself despite his humble origins.

He worked hard at honing his magical abilities and building up a reputation as one of the most skilled and powerful wizards in the realm.

Draco would often run into the forest with stolen spells to go practice. He would practice repeatedly and fail. Out of frustration, Draven, the thrill-seeking personality, got his hands on the wheel of Draco's life for the first time.

Draven has always come up whenever the enemy is standing at the gate ever since.

Characterized by his goofy and fierce speech pattern, you would wonder if he is angry or making a mockery of you when he talks to you.

Being a descendant of one the High Wizard, one of the most powerful mages of the time, he perfected his spells and swordsmanship even though Draco always found a way to recover control.

When it comes to magic, Draven is a prodigious talent. Despite his youth, he has honed his skills to an extraordinary level, surpassing the expectations of his peers. His spells crackle with raw energy, displaying a natural affinity for manipulating the arcane forces. Draven's spells are precise, powerful, and delivered with a sense of flair that showcases his confidence and showmanship.

However, Draco, the host of this shared body, often restrains Draven's potential. Filled with self-doubt and lacking the experience to navigate the complexities of the magical world, Draco tends to suppress his alter ego's abilities. Draco's cautious nature is like a feather, light and delicate, contrasting sharply with Draven's powerful and forceful presence.

The two personalities exist in a symbiotic relationship, each with their own role. Draven acts as the hammer, wielding his formidable magical skills to forge a path forward, taking risks and embracing challenges head-on. In contrast, Draco serves as the feather, providing a counterbalance, tempering Draven's impulsive nature and ensuring a level of caution and practicality in their actions.

Their coexistence is a delicate balance, with each personality exerting its influence based on the situation at hand. While Draven longs to unleash his full potential, Draco's presence serves as a reminder of the importance of measured decision-making and self-preservation.
