Ch 122: Unexpected Surprise
"Kai, what do you have in the box?" I stood up from the floor and went over to ask him.
"Uh, nothing," Kai said suspiciously, hiding this box behind his back.
"Meow...Meow...Meow!" I heard the constant crying of a kitten.
"Oh, Kai you didn't!" I said, brightly gleaming.
"Did what?" Kai played it out dumb.
Almost everyone laughed inside the living room. And I noticed Chester had a bag of kitten food in his hands with another pet box and dog food. Then I saw a tan piece of paper in Kai's other hand.
"You got us a kitten!" I cooed, heartily.
"Uh, yeah, it was supposed to be a surprise," Kai said, handing me the box with the screaming kitten.
Everyone laughed like crazy especially Rose and Rome probably laughed the hardest from Kai's failure to hide this from me.
I opened the box and found this beautiful fluffy white kitten with bright blue eyes and wearing a purple gem bell collar.
"Awe, Kai this is so unexpected," I said as he took the box.
"You have no idea," Chester seemed to joke before he walked off, leaving the cat food by Kai's leg.
But I didn't understand him other than knowing Kai hates animals. Everybody laughed as Kai seemed to ignore them.
"Well, I got her for you to cheer you up," Kai said, smiling.
I kissed his cheek as everyone awed.
"Did you get a litter pan? A food dish? Some toys and a water dish for her?" I bombed him with questions as the kitten purred to my affection.
"Well..." Kai kinda trailed off and he looked behind me to stare at Rome.
"I guess Kai and I will be back with that stuff," Rome chuckled as he left out the front door with Kai.
I took the kitten back into the living room as Ava petted her head. "Awe, she is so sweet," she stated.
"What are you going to name her?" Mia asked next to me on the floor.
"I don't even know," I said, putting her on my lap.
"I say she needs a pretty name for how beautiful she is," Mrs. Collin suggested on the left couch with her husband.
"Maybe Sapphire because of her blue eyes," I said, watching her laying on her back as she purred, staring up at me.
"I named my cat midnight because she's all black," Rose mentioned on the couch behind me.
Ace chuckled next to her, "that cat drives me nuts."
"That's why she and I get along so great," Rose teased as everyone laughed at them.
"I know your pain, Ace," Ivan said next to him. "Mia's calico cat always has to sleep on my pillow." Most of us laughed at the two men complaining about cats.

Later on, Kai and Rome returned with kitten supplies. Kai bought the top-quality self-cleaning litter pan. Along with a baggie of toys, a glass water bowl, food dish, placemats, and a treehouse play and bed for her.
Rome and Kai got the tools out and started setting everything up. We put her cat treehouse near my nightstand. After that Kai and I made love for a few hours. Until my body couldn't keep up with him. We cuddled naked as Sapphire slept over top of my one pillow.

Early morning came too quickly for me to leave for work with Mr. Collin. Since Kai finally agreed I could work with him. Already Kai had gone somewhere with Rome, Jack, Ivan, and Ace.
After my shower, I packed a bag of extra clothes and perfume. Then I put on my attractive knee-high skirt and dressy black lace top. I curled my hair in some waves and met with Mr. Collin and his bodyguards in the main living room for us to leave.
We reached the office's highest floor when Ms. Thorn was here at her open desk. My office was across from hers. Unlike her working area, I was given a fairly large office. Mr. Collin's office was across from the elevator entrance.
"Good morning, Mr. Collin and everybody else," she greeted.
"Good morning, Ms. Thorn let me know of my schedule in a bit," Mr. Collin replies.
"Yes, Sir, right away," Ms. Thorn said, typing away on her keyboard.
I went inside my office and put my bags down. Afterward, I started up the computer on the desk. I filed and formatted different folders from other companies. I reviewed the plans and organized the materials into different layouts for Mr. Collin to read over.
After I finished this one I had been working on it since yesterday. Lunch break rolled around, so I went to Mr. Collin's office.
"Would you like anything at the coffee shop?" I asked him and his faithful bodyguards aside from him at the desk.
"We are fine, Victoria." He smiled asking. "Are you sure you wanna go to that coffee shop by yourself today?"
"Yup, I'll be fine," I said, smiling. "It's just down the block and I'll text you if I need anything."
"Alright then, I'll see you in a bit," said Mr. Collin. "If you aren't back by a certain time, I will be sending my bodyguards to find you."
"I understand," I nodded to acknowledge they were nervous about Rex and his gang finding me. "If I'm running late I'll text you."
After that statement, I was given the go-ahead. I returned to my office and got my extra black handbag. Then I headed off and used the elevator. Once I was outside, I texted Crystal on this downloaded texting app that she told me to use. I can log out of it easily and Kai couldn't read that she and I have been talking.
After talking all this time we've decided to meet up every day this week. For a week now, Mr. Collin has been trusting me outside his tall office building. Then to keep it on the more cautious side from anybody knowing my business. Crystal told me to pack extra clothes and a bottle of perfume that she had purchased for me. So nobody catches her scent on me. At first, I kinda thought her idea was crazy but I get she is worried about getting busted like how I am. So I decided to do that each time we've met up during this past week.
