**Ch 329: Face Reality

On that go-ahead, Mr. Collin grabbed his phone and dialed the Mill Coven Headmaster.

"Gaston, I was counting down every second as to when I'd be hearing from you," Morbius answered once he picked up his cell phone.

Mr. Collin felt a cold sweat on his forehead, and the collar on his blue dress shirt suddenly felt tighter. "I'd like to speak with you about a peace treaty and fix–"

Morbius rambled in, "You know Gaston, still to this day, I remember the day you were born. You were such a tiny little sprout. You grew mighty. I'm sure your father would be proud of you right now. For taking this matter into your own hands."

"Yes, well, I was given authority, and as the one in charge of this Coven while my father sleeps, I would like to make amends on my behalf and fix what I've done." Mr. Collin presented as he pulled the words from his vocals.

"You know. I'm sure we can agree on a treaty. After all, we go way back," Morbius welcomed the idea with a friendly chuckle, which had Mr. Collin beaming in relief while Kai's scoffed expression never left his face as he sat quietly in the seat.

"I'm glad we share the same viewpoint. Now, we need to discuss what offers I can give you to finalize our treaty." Mr. Collin concluded.

"I couldn't agree more." Morbius chuckled. "There is only one alternative I have that will end this rivalry between our Covens."

"Of course, name it, and we will finalize this treaty between our Covens," replied Mr. Collin.

"Oh, good, I'm glad you see this as our way. Therefore, I expect Victoria and Zoey here by tomorrow morning," Morbius mandated, and Mr. Collin nearly choked on his tongue, Kai, however, predicted this to come.

"If you want vampiresses. I'm sure we can work out another offer." Mr. Collin proposed. "We can try to arrange another arranged marriage if that is what you wish."

"Sure, only if you give me the mates of your sons!" Morbius's sinister voice impaled his eardrums through the phone.

"There must be something else I can offer you?" Mr. Collin alluded as he was nearly lost with his words.

Morbius hissed. "That is the only offer I will accept!"

Mr. Collin stiffened his lips. "My sons have nothing to do with why you are angry!" he snarled.

"Your sons will pay for the sins of their father!" Morbius chewed into his ear. "Either hand over Zoey and Victoria, or there is no peace treaty between us ever!"

"So be it." Mr. Collin seethed his tone.

"I hope you're prepared for war after the vote. For now, my Coven won't battle yours." Morbius informed.

"You let him know if his Coven comes anywhere near our territories, they will be detained without a return!" Kai's vast voice hollered.

"Kai!" Mr. Collin scolded him as Morbius odiously laughed.

"Done!" Morbius agreed. "Perhaps you should let your son handle the treaties, Gaston. He still speaks like a true Gladiator, unlike you. As of now, we won't cross territories, and the battle won't begin until after the vote. After all, Victoria is useless to me if she is dead." On those last words, Morbius disconnected, and Mr. Collin dropped the phone on the desk.

"We need to detain them all!" Kai growled. "Down to the last infant!"

"Do you not remember the devastating effect it has to detain an innocent vampchild!" Mr. Collin yelled. "Whole Covens are permanently detained from ever waking up to this very day."

"I remember the wars like it was yesterday!" Kai got snippy. "We've lost many good friends that will never be seen again."

"Exactly, Kai. We don't need history repeating itself. There are innocent vampchildren and babies in the Mill Coven. Why should they be detained? They have no understanding of this mess that I..." Mr. Collin differed, but then he bit his tongue from speaking any further.

"Father, I know you wish to fix what happened. But you have to face the reality of the situation. The Mills want to destroy us down to the last vamp baby. Their offspring will be taught no differently than to hate us." Kai sighed, trying to get through to his dad on a calmer level.

"We can take them as our minions," Mr. Collin recommended.

"Forget it!" Kai refused. "I want them all detained!"

"You enslaved Darlene as a child, but now you refuse with the Mills," Mr. Collin countered, briefly rubbing his temples.

"I only kept Darlene to control her brother," Kai interjected.

"Yet, her brother still tried to take you down," Mr. Collin pointed out. "And you still kept Darlene."

"Only for when I decide to wake her brother," Kai growled. "My clan and I won't spare one Mill."

Mr. Collin asserted. "I won't detain innocent life anymore!"

"You've grown too soft where I haven't," Kai hissed.

"Do you honestly think your mate would be happy to hear you?" Mr. Collin growls viciously.

"One day, she'll have to face that reality too. Like she doesn't need to know I recently fed on a baby and its mother. She doesn't need to know about this until she's ready," Kai hissed without a hint of remorse. "Now we need to wake Vlad and bring down the Mill Coven, including their little ones!"

"You will not be waking him under my authority!" Mr. Collin barked.

"As of now, you are dooming us all to be destroyed!" Kai gnashed his fangs. "You might think you have this under control, but after what happened tonight, it shows we need to wake everyone and prepare for war!"

"Get out, Kai. I need to be alone." Mr. Collin shooed him with his hand.

Without needing to be asked again, Kai faded from the chair he sat in. He understood his father was having a hard time facing this reality.

"How did that go?" Ace asked once he found him in the corridor that was near his bedroom.

"He can't face this right now, and he won't let me wake Vlad because he respects his wishes, so I'm going to do what is necessary," Kai told him, catching him up on what was said between him and his dad.

After their conversation, he entered his bedroom. By that time, Victoria was already in a deep sleep. At least that's what he thought until he heard her shrill shriek. Not only was she in distress, but his unborn offspring were sending him a warning signal. Kai rushed to the bedside to find two small holes in her neck that clogged a bubble of blood.

"Aaah!" she screamed, kicking the blanket off her body, and he noticed the burnt mark on her ankle.

"Victoria, you need to wake up!" Kai called, shaking her shoulders after he tossed her kitten to the floor. She needed to wake up from this nightmare because she was in grave trouble inside her dream.

Thanks for the powerstones. Please leave a comment. In Chapter 332 will reveal on why Victoria has holes in her neck and a burnt ankle.
