Chapter 13: The Death of Maximus and Sophia

Five minutes later everybody at Max birthday party including Max heard a loud gun shot followed by another one then Max panicked and went inside to see if anything happened to his parents but before he entered he saw blood coming out of the entrance then when he entered inside he saw the most terrifying sight which was his dead parents.

Immediately Max saw this he screamed and then he fainted but when he screamed it attracted everyone's attention and they went into the room to see what happened. When all of them reached all of them saw Max parents dead and also saw Max on the floor and Max friends and the teachers thought that Max was dead but when the principal saw him he knew that Max was not dead so he said "Somebody please bring a glass of water."

After they brought the water the principal splashed it on Max face and Max stood up asking where was his parents the principal pointed inside the room and when Max saw this he started crying but while all of this was happening Sophia friend called the ambulance and it was on its way.

By the time Max started crying the ambulance had already arrived and they came in an took Maximus and Sophia to the hospital and Max followed them because he wanted to see if his parents were still alive.

Few minutes later, they arrived at the hospital and the doctor said to Max "It's only one of them that is alive but will not live for a long time."

Max asked "Which one of them is alive."

The doctor replied "It's the man."

Max asked again "What do you mean that he will not live for a long time."

The doctor replied "I mean that he is on the verge of death."

Max said"What, where is he I want to see him now."

The doctor replied "While he is in the room come and see him fast."

When Max got there he saw that the father was shot in the stomach and the mother was shot in the head and they lost a lot of blood then Max started crying because it was unbearable for him to see but he had to talk to his father.

Max went close to his mother and he saw that she was not breathing and he knew that she was dead but when he was about to meet the father he heard that his father started coughing so he quickly rushed to see his father then Max asked "Do you know who did it to you."

Maximus replied "No, because the person was wearing a black mask."

Max said "I am sorry."

Maximus asked "For what, your not the one that caused it."

Max said "I am the one that told you to make me a big birthday party because without the party you would have still been alive."

Maximus replied "Even if you didn't ask I would have done it."

Maximus starts to cough and Max got more worried before Max could say what he wanted to say the father stopped him and said "Since I will not make it I want to trust all my property to you."

Max asked "So you want to trust me with all your riches houses and cars when I am still young."

Maximus replied "Yes, and I know you will use it well and that nothing will happen to you.

Please live a long life and even if they are obstacles in the way you will able to overcome it." Maximus added and that was the last word that Maximus said before he passed away and Max started crying again and as he was crying he was shaking his dead father and shouted "Dad!" and each shout was louder than the last.
