"Crowley has done a lot of things, but putting a hit on everyone to try and regain control over hell and his throne… that's a new low, even for him." Sam lamented as we walked into the Lockwood-Martin residence.

"I don't know why you're so surprised. He's a demon, Sammy." Dean reminded him. Sam rolled his eyes, like he would have to be brain-dead to have forgotten that not-so-little fact.

"I know that, Dean." He sighed through gritted teeth.

"Turning on each other isn't going to help anything." Caroline spoke up. They both looked over at her and nodded. She's right – of course, she's right. The tension just keeps getting worse between everyone. It feels like we're tiptoeing over broken eggshells. There's only so much everybody can take before we all snap. There's a fight coming. You can feel the electricity in the air. It's only a matter of time and there isn't much time left. I just hope that we're all here still standing, when it's finally over. It's going to ugly. I know that much for sure.

"We need to summon Crowley." I told them.

"You rang, darling." A voice behind me made me jump. I spun around to see Crowley leaning against our banister in the flesh, like he hadn't just dropped by uninvited. Good for us that he picked the one spot underneath a devil's trap. He'll have fun getting out of that one.

"Why did you put a hit on everyone?" Sam asked, taking the lead. No one moved to stop him. I don't think it really matter who asks the questions, as long as they get asked. Sam is just as capable as the rest of us are.

"I thought that one would be obvious, Samantha." Crowley replied with a wink. He took that as his opportunity to look all of us over. "Made new friends, I see. Look, you know that I would have to be desperate to do something to piss of you lot. I'm not the only big, bad in town. Surely you've realized that by now. Abaddon is gunning for my throne. I can't let that little have it – now can I? I suggest you lot do something about it, if you want the hit on your heads taken off. My hands are tied, but my money is on you. Can't have my gangly gang of demons thinking I've gotten soft – can I? Esther and Mikael should be on their way shortly. Give them my best. Tootles." He waved and tried to disappear. He looked up and saw the devil's trap above him. "Bullocks." He sighed.

"Looks like you'll be sickin' around for this one." Dean smirked. Crowley didn't look too happy about that.

"Then I guess you'll just have to tell us what they have planned, if you plan on going anywhere." Scott told him. For the first time, Crowley looked worried. Well, this can't be good.

Deaton, Stiles, Davina, Elijah and I poured over all of the spells at our disposal. There were a few that looked promising, but honestly, we're basically going to be winging it. You know that feeling that you get deep in your gut when everything is about to go to shit and there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it? That's the feeling that I have gnawing at me. It's only a matter of time before the sky starts falling down on all of us.

We stayed hauled up in the house for two days, trying to prepare. We're as ready as we'll ever be. We're holding onto Crowley, because we would rather have him, where we can see him, than not. I think that everyone is more comfortable that way and not the other way around.

We've gone through countless defensive tactics and cast so many protection spells that I've lost count. Stiles and I both have the protective rings that Deaton gave to us. Everyone who can wield mountain ash, has it on hand. Chris made sure that everyone has more than one hidden weapon on his or her person at all times. The parents are not exception.

"Do you hear that?" Lydia asked me. I looked over at her. I didn't waste my breath asking her what she meant by that. If she hears something that means that something has changed. I closed my eyes and did my best to concentrate. She's right. The air is supercharged. I can feel the world buzzing around us. It's buzzing in the way that it only does, when something or someone powerful is nearby.

"They're coming." I whispered.

"Actually, darling, I think they're here." Crowley corrected me.

"Well, shit." Isaac breathed.

"We're ready for this," Derek spoke over everyone else. "Don't start doubting yourselves now."

"He's right." Scott agreed.

"I think I'm going to throw up," Stiles admitted, looking a little green. I grabbed his hand and interlocked our fingers.

"We can do this," I told him.

"Awe, how cute. You think that you can actually stand a chance. Come out, come out, wherever you are. Come on kiddies. We've come to play. Ignoring your guests is just rude!" Kate yelled from outside. Kate joined them. I didn't see that one coming. We all looked at each other and nodded. It's now or never.

"Let's go."
