Fragment 1: The Legend

**Zero World**

In a small house in a humble village, there was a very beautiful woman with long platinum hair.

"Mom! Mom! Tell me! Tell me! The legend of Hero-sama!"

Beside her was a 10-year-old girl, shouting and jumping with energy. This girl, like her mother, was very beautiful, despite her tender age. She had blue eyes and long platinum hair.

"Hehe, alright, sweetheart, come here..."

Taking the girl in her arms, the woman smiled sweetly.

"Yes! Quickly! Quickly! I want to hear it!"

With enthusiasm, the girl urged her mother. She, like all the inhabitants of this world, knew very well about a legend.

'The legend of the Hero of the Void.'

"Alright, calm down, sweetheart. We have plenty of time."

Shaking her head, the woman caressed her daughter's hair.

"Fourteen years ago, our world was hit by a calamity. An extremely powerful being came to our world, bringing with it a monstrous army and incredible power."

Looking up, the woman's eyes became sad; this was a story that still had the aftermath of such a calamity.

"For three years, our world and all living beings were forced to fight. However, every passing day, many of us died. Elves, dragons, dwarves, beastmen, and humans united forces to stop this tragedy. But everything was in vain; the enemy was too powerful. Each passing day, our world was dying."

Sighing sadly, the woman continued to caress her daughter's hair.

"And what happened? How did they manage to stop it?"

With starry eyes, the girl clenched her fists. After all, her favorite part was about to come.

Seeing her enthusiasm, the woman just smiled.

"From a small village, a Hero rose, taking up arms to protect his people. Despite being very weak, the Hero never gave up. He fought to protect his people, and at the same time, many monsters fell by his sword. But the Hero was very kind because he didn't settle for just saving his village; the world was in agony. So he set out on his journey to save all the beings of this world."

**The Hero was weak but brave, and his tenacity was something many were surprised about.**

Despite many seeing him as just another normal human who would die in the fight, the Hero was tenacious. Among millions of humans, elves, dwarves, and dragons, beastmen, the Hero emerged victorious in each of his battles.

This fact attracted a lot of attention because they couldn't understand how someone so weak could have such luck.

These events lasted for a year before the Alliance took him under its wing. The human was vital for the fight against the [Lord of the Abyss]. So they took the best instructors from all races and trained the Hero.

Magic, Battle Ki, Swordsmanship, Witchcraft.

The Hero was a genius, quickly learning about the arts, leaving his instructors shocked at how fast he learned. In less than a year, the Hero set out to fulfill his duty.

He traveled all over the world, destroying all the monsters that harmed the world.

And like any Hero, a group of brave individuals joined the fight for the world. The group consisted of a representative of their race, being the best of the best, each of them willing to sacrifice their lives to save the world.

However, the Alliance didn't put all their hopes on the Hero, as they trained several more to fight. But it was a pity; unlike the Hero, the other groups ended up dying.

Leaving the Hero and his group to fight against the entire army.

Fortunately, the Hero gained the support of the Gods, who blessed the group with various powers and abilities.

This was another glimmer of hope for the dying world.

For two years, they fought bravely until the day came when a Goddess could no longer tolerate this and joined the fight with the Hero. A noble fight to save the world.

Sacrificing a lot of her divine power, the Goddess fought alongside the Hero, and amidst so much sacrifice and pain, love blossomed.

Thanks to this, the world could see another ray of light.

But this didn't last long; the final day was approaching.

Until the day came when the Goddess decided to sacrifice herself for the Hero.

"No, this is my fight. I can't let you die in this."

However, the Hero didn't allow it; he couldn't let a pillar of the world fall in this fight.

So no matter how much the Goddess begged, the Hero raised his weapons and joined the final battle. The devastated Goddess could only watch as her beloved abandoned her for the world.

Giving her last blessing, the Goddess cried for the tragic fate of the Hero.

The final battle was near, unable to stand idly by, the Alliance brought its last army into the fight.

This was an all-or-nothing, betting everything on one man; there was no escape.

There was only one winner, and they couldn't afford to lose.

"For Hero-sama! For the Goddess! FOR THE WORLD!"

The army clashed with the Monsters; it was a massacre where both sides left thousands of victims. But the Alliance didn't give up; they continued to raise the morale of their soldiers, instilling blind faith in the Hero and his group.

The battle lasted for two days and two nights, but everything must end, and for the Alliance, it was not good news.

"Hmp! I admire your bravery and power, but... Does a Hero try to fight me? Know your place, trash!"

Sneering coldly, the Lord of the Abyss destroyed the Destiny of the Hero, killing him in the process.

There was a huge difference between them; the Lord of the Abyss was just playing with the Hero. After all, he was an [Overlord]; he had the cursed mark of the world on his soul, so a Hero wasn't enough to defeat him. Giving a final glance at the Hero's corpse, the Lord of the Abyss opened his arms, summoning more monsters that would end all life in this world and destroy it.

"No... This... can't be real."

"It's over... Everything is over."

On the other hand, the Alliance lowered their weapons; there was no need to fight anymore. Their greatest hope had died, and this world was doomed.

The same thing happened to the group of brave individuals; they had fought fiercely, but in the end, they couldn't keep up, leaving them badly wounded, unable to help the Hero in his fight.

So as they looked at their fallen comrade, they clenched their fists, and tears flowed. The guilt of being too weak was killing them.

"At least I'll die fighting... I'll see you soon, comrade."

Smiling one last time, each of them stood up, gathering their last strength to launch a desperate fight.

"It's useless."

The Overlord just mocked their poor struggle; the best of them had fallen, and there was no need to pay attention to mere ants.

So raising a hand, he decided to end this, destroying the Destiny of these poor souls.

However, before he could attack, something caught him.
