The Next Morning

*Chirp Chirp Chirp* Birds chimed, and Shin woke up to the beautiful melody that the bird had sung, or so he wished...

In reality... The door to room 013 swung open with two really big men and the receptionist barging in to see... A butt naked Shin.

"Argh!!" Shin screamed out as he woke up to this.

The receptionist yelled out, "Who are you! How dare you steal the keys to this room, pay up! or be punished by these two men here!"

Shin was too busy covering himself up with the blanket on the bed before he yelled out "Pause!" to all three of them. It was lucky for Shin that there were only three of them, or things might have been wrong. He took his dirty clothes and wore them again, albeit in disgust, before escaping through the hotel window. Unfortunately, the room was actually on the third floor of the inn, and he panicked too quickly and jumped down to the ground. This was a man with no chakra. His body was slightly crushed with broken bones, but it regenerated without problem.

'What do you mean without a problem.. it fucking hurts..' Shin replied...

Shin then headed off, and after some distance, he unpaused the 3 people that almost caught him. 'Jeez', Shin thought. He needed some money to survive. Also, at this point, he realised he was an idiot. The three men WERE PAUSED. He could've just scooted them over and walked out of the room. 'Idiot.' he thought, regretting it.

However, Shin was somewhat confused right now. How is he supposed to make money like this. Shin knew, in all honesty, that he could just pause some people and steal off their money, but that would be just too awfully similar to the people he vowed not to be. Besides, he was beginning to starve, he hadn't eaten for the longest time... What should he do?

Shin was roaming around without a clue as to what he should do. However, he accidentally reached a place called "The Ichiraku ramen store", he was all too familiar with it. Yet he had no money. So what was the point of this... However, Shin had an idea... It might not work, but honestly, it was worth the try... Shin waited for a customer to finish his food and went straight into the customer's seat.

Teuchi, the owner of the Ramen store, then said, "Welcome! To Ichiraku Ramen store! Wait up, customer, let me clean out that dish for you!" He said as he approached to grab the plate. However, Shin immediately stopped him and said "No! Wait! Can I borrow this!"

Teuchi was at first confused... but due to the insistent of Shin, he was confused but agreed to not take the plate away from him.

Shin looked at the meal "Ramen" and attempted to rewind the state of the meal. To Teuchi's dismay, it worked! The once-finished ramen had slowly restored back to its original meal. The soup began increasing in volume, and the bitten egg slowly reversing back to full. Even pieces of noodles began appearing from the previously almost empty bowl.

Teuchi rubbed his eyes. 'What?', he questioned it and rubbed like there was no tomorrow. Only after a while did he stop before accepting it was reality. Shin then asked, "Can I eat it..?" Teuchi couldn't say anything but nod; it was his first time seeing such... such black magic. Throughout the years, he's seen many weird customers, but this was by far the weirdest one he had seen. Teuchi then thought to himself and wondered. He went to the back part of his Kitchen to take out a gigantic pot. He opened it in front of Shin and inside was the ramen soup with only half of the pot left.

"C-Could you... try it on this...?" Teuchi asked, slightly nervous...

Shin nodded while eating the ramen, reversing the soup backwards, slowly but surely, it became full once more and Teuchi almost dropped it due to the extra weight it gained. "How the f-" Teuchi almost swore.

Shin continued eating without much of a care, whereas Teuchi went to the back to put the pot back to its original position. Once more, he got out and with the biggest smile he could get, "Hahahha! Boy, you can come to the ramen store anytime you want! As long as you do that magic of yours!"

Teuchi then began babbling how it was a sight to see, whereas Shin was just too busy eating his ramen. After a bit, Shin finally stopped eating after the portion and began talking to the ramen owner. "Hey, Mister, do you know how I could take on ninja missions without being a shinobi?"

The Ramen Master thought about it for a while, and he claim that he overheard there are this mercenary shinobis program that the hidden leaf conducts which would allow one to take on Konoha's mission, but a test would be needed to determine what rank you are and the mission you could take. It's open to the public but one may need to pay a bit for the test.

Shin wondered for a bit and found it ironic. He needed money... to make money... But alas, that was always how the world works. Thus, Shin had a proposal to Teuchi. He could help with the lack of ingredients if Teuchi would help him pay for the test...

Teuchi thought about it for a while... "Hmmm... it would be a good trade for me in the long run..." He looked at Shin for a bit before deciding... He reached out his hand to shake Shin's hand "Alright Kid, you have yourself a deal." he said with a smile.
