The End of the Day

Shin could only nod helplessly as he had to admit he lost. He did get cocky and told Naruto if he was hit he'd duel him whenever... "Alright... alright... you can duel me whenever you like as long as I'm still here..."

"Whenever you're still here..?" Naruto asked, "Where are you going?"

Shin stayed quiet for a bit as Naruto looked at him in anticipation. "Hmmm? I don't really know yet, but I'm sure I want to go around and travel, discovering myself and just enjoy life you know..!" Shin answered with a bright grin..

Naruto, who had no one in his whole life, began frowning, slightly upset. It's been a while since he had so much fun with someone and honestly, Shin seemed to be like the only one who'd see him and treat him as your average good ol' kid. Of course, him and possibly the ramen-store mister. Naruto thought about it for a while but he stayed quiet...

Shin felt the awkwardness slightly and he knew how Naruto felt, but couldn't say much about it either. Shin tried to change the topic.. "Hey, can I still borrow your money? I need some change of clothes..."

Naruto, whom was sad for a bit, slightly got annoyed, "Man you really don't know how to read the mood don't you." he said, while taking out his frog-shaped wallet that was already fat.

"W..Wow..." Shin thought. Shin was dirt poor, so, that fat wallet was really tempting for Shin.

Naruto was proud of the wallet, "Hhehehee Gama-Chan you've gotten so fat!" "I saved money from ever since I remember, and since I don't know what to use it for, I have a decent amount saved up!"

He then took out several money papers and handed it over to Shin, "Here you go, consider it as payment for future duels that we'll be doing" while grinning..

Shin was touched, thinking that Naruto didn't need to do that, but damn he's dirt poor, he needs every money he can get. Shin took it, and in the end, he decided, "Hey Naruto, accompany me to shop some clothes won't you?"

Naruto was happy to hear it, and said "Sure!" being excited. "Looks like you're gonna get skinny Gama-chan, we're going shopping today!"

"So, where are we shopping?"

Shin then asked, "Well... that's what I was about to ask you..."

These two idiots have no idea where to shop, nor know where to go...

"Hahahaha thanks, Teuchi-san!" whereas instead of the two people were walking down the street, it was now three of them. Shin, Naruto and Teuchi was walking down the stores. Teuchi had no idea why he joined, but he felt like it was necessary for Shin to go shop as he didn't want to lend his clothes. "Alright, there and there is where I'd usually buy clothes, understand?" Teuchi said, pointing at directions of streets to ensure Shin and Naruto know where the shop districts are.

Both Shin and Naruto nodded like a lost puppy, and Teuchi sighed, then left them to their own devices.

"Alright Shin, where should we go!"

Both of them went from one shop to another, purchasing shirts here and there while also fooling around, dressing up one another like idiots. Sometimes, the shop clerk enjoys their loudness and commotion, while others kicked them out for being too loud. It was such a fun experience for both of them.

Of course, the shirts they purchased weren't too expensive, hence why it was still affordable, but they ended up with several attires for battle and some more casual ones.

"This is so fun!!" Naruto said to Shin!

Time passed by, and finally they were super tired, they rested on a bench eating in a famous dango store that Naruto recommended. Naruto may not understand fashion, but he did know good food.

*Gobble gobble* They both enjoyed the sweet dango before Naruto shifted from his happy tone to serious once more.

"Hey Shin, Can I ask you for a favour?" Naruto said,

Shin nodded, looking at Naruto.

"Can you not go?" Naruto asked, "It's kind of selfish, but I really enjoyed today, more so than I have in my whole entire life..."

Shin was surprised, it's true that today was fun, but he didn't expect Naruto to ask him about this like a bomb, it was his entire life he's talking about here. Honestly, Shin would still go regardless of how Naruto begged for him to stay.. Yet he felt bad for Naruto. However, before Shin would even tell him that he'd still go, Naruto knew by expression Shin's answer..

"I understand... it's a hard request.." Naruto said, looking sulky and quiet for a while... before he answered, in a more quiet tone... "Well then... Can you take me with you?"
