Test Completed

Shin and Naruto slightly had some conversations for a while before Iruka came, "Oh Shin, Naruto, looks like you guys are starting to become friends huh?" Iruka said slightly smiling.

"Well I have your results over here", Iruka said while waving his hand with a piece of paper. He handed it over to Shin... who had a slightly.. depressive look. The paper was highlighted with bright red marks all around, and a big fat number at the top right circled with said red pen. That number was.. 30%..

"Oh boy, Mister, you're almost as dumb as me!" Naruto said while peeking at Shin's paper...

Iruka immediate hit Naruto in the head, "Ouch!" Naruto yelled

whereas Iruka continued, "Hey, you're one to talk.." while taking out another paper from his document... with a big fat 0 on the top right corner of the paper.

It was then that the two boys, one barely 8 while the other barely a teenager would sulk together on the cafeteria. Seeing this comical scene, Iruka coughed and interrupted,

"Well, you got saved by the amazing combat abilities you've shown and since it was by average, say you got 100 in your combat and 30 in your written test.." Iruka said

Shin did a quick calculation and realised.. He barely passed with a score of 65 :')

'Yesss!' Shin thought slightly airfisting silently..

"Yep, you passed with a score of 65. Your ranking would be a C-Rank Mercenary Ninja, so you can take C-F rank missions to your liking. To get to a higher rank, you'll need to finish 10 quests of C successfully and then take a test to go up in your ranking! Good luck Shin!"

Right then and there, Naruto interrupted, "Wait.. Wait.. did you say your combat abilities were at a score of 100? By my stingy sensei over there?"

"How strong are you, Shin!?" Naruto asked

"Errrr. I'm pretty strong" Shin said slightly winking at Naruto.

"Really! Fight me! Fight me! Let's Go, Shin! Here and now!" Naruto said

Iruka once again hit Naruto on the head, "Hey Naruto, don't be so rude, besides, fighting in the cafeteria would get you detention!"

Naruto slightly laughed in response... and could only say "Hahahha... I'm just kidding... Iruka sensei.."

However, it was obvious his eyes were still burning with the desire to fight Shin and Shin knew this... So, he told Naruto that he'd love to fight him, but at a later period of time when no one is around.

Naruto was excited, and said, "You promised!"

"Yep, meet me later at Ichiraku ramen store okay? at around 5."

Naruto nodded and Shin followed Iruka back to the mission assessment task table. There Teuchi was waiting while sitting on a bench. He got up seeing Shin had finished his test and went up to him "So how was it!"

Iruka answered for him "Your Kid did quite fine! He's now a C-Ranked Mercenary Shinobi.."

"My Ki-" Teuchi almost said in confusion before remembering the stupid act Shin made him do, "Ah Yeah! That's great Kid!"

However, right here, there was someone new that had just arrived at the assignment table approximately half an hour ago.

"Huh, Teuchi, you have a son? How come I didn't know about it" a voice said from the table. It was an old man wearing a cap that spells out "fire" in kanji. It was the Third Hokage.

'Well, this is quite bad' Shin thought to himself. Firstly, he didn't expect that the Third would be here, but after recalling the series, it was actually quite common for him to do so. Yet second of all, he had no idea the Third knew Teuchi, the ramen-maker, and it looked like they were on decent terms!? Weird.

The Third Hokage then looked at Shin without much thought, "hahaha I guess I'm pretty busy lately, for me not to know my old friend has a son.."

Teuchi slightly nodded as Shin hinted at him to just play along. Shin honestly did not like the Third Hokage that much. The bitter taste of the Uchiha massacre was vivid in Shin, and honestly, The Third's indecisiveness are what caused the Uchiha massacre to occur, not to mention the many other things that the Third had done due to his soft heart.

However, Shin knew he shouldn't act too rashly in front of the most powerful man in the village. "It's an honour to meet you, Lord Third," Shin said slightly bowing.

"Ah Lord Third, Shin here did quite well in the combat section of the exam, even achieving a score of 100 as he bested me in a duel, alas.. his test paper did not do quite well, thus achieving a C-Rank instead of B-Rank," Iruka said to the Third, slightly boasting of Shin.

"Oh really? Let me see your test paper.." The Third said slightly smiling. Shin handed it over to the Third Hokage, whereas the Third looked at it for quite a moment, before finally returning it back to Shin.

"So Shin, Why have you decided you want to be a mercenary instead of a leaf shinobi?" Hiruzen asked...

'Welp..' Shin doesn't think he should answer in a manner that was as rude as he did to Iruka when asked the same question. So what should he say here...
