I'm NOT A Suitcase!

Andrea turned around after making sure his flight gate was on the screen. He did not notice a girl walking with her head down right behind him. She didn't pay attention to where she was walking as her eyes were fixed on the floor, looking for something. And so.. the collision was inevitable.

The girl was petite and cute. Her height barely reached Andrea's shoulder. Because the man's big and tall body held more weight than hers, the collision had a severe impact on the girl as she fell to the ground. Andrea was stunned and hurried to help.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it ... Here, let me help you," he crouched down, ready to pick her up.

"Don't touch me! I can help myself!!" The girl fiercely brushed off Andrea's hand. The man was astounded. But finally, Andrea could only shrug and leave her. He wanted to help but she didn't seem to welcome his goodwill. He wasn't going to force anyone to accept his kindness.

The girl tried to get back on her feet but quickly found out that her right stiletto heel was dislodged, and she fell back to the floor. She grimaced as she massaged her right leg, "Hey, you! Come back here! You must take responsibility for me. I can't walk..."

Several people tried to offer help but she stubbornly brushed off those helping hands. Andrea turned and shook his head in disbelief. Didn't she reject his help just now?

But he didn't say anything and carried the girl to the nearest seat, then collected her stuff from the floor and gave them to her.

"Please check your belongings to see if anything is missing. Where is your gate? Let me take you to your boarding gate."

"I just landed and was looking for my passport ..." the girl replied curtly. "I lost my passport. I've been up and down several floors to find it ...

Her face started to look pitiful. Andrea could see that the girl was clearly tired.

"Have you reported this to security or the immigration staff?" Andrea asked patiently. The girl shook her head. Seeing her reply, the man could only massage his temple. "Can you walk?"

The girl shook her head again, but her face was no longer resentful. Andrea glanced at his watch. He still had an hour before boarding. He knew how difficult it was to lose a passport inside the airport because the girl would not be able to go through immigration and left the airport without her passport.

Because the girl's leg seemed to be dislocated, Andrea finally helped take off her damaged shoes and attach them to his backpack. He then carried the girl on his back and patiently took her across the terminal to look for airport security staff.

"If you just landed, why are you at the departure terminal? Have you searched on the arrival area?"

"I have... I only went upstairs to buy a coffee before getting my luggage, but, when I wanted to go get my bag, I realized that my passport was gone. Maybe I left it in the coffee shop or maybe it fell down ... I had been looking all over the terminal for that stupid passport.." The girl shared her story in a pitiful tone. She no longer looked fierce.

"Okay, I will take you to find the airport security officer."

After he walked halfway through the terminal, suddenly, the girl exclaimed, "Wait..! My luggage!! I must get my bags!"

"But we can only take luggage after immigration, right?" Andrea was puzzled. He'd never been at the airport before but he knew usually passengers could only get their bags from the carrousel AFTER they cleared immigration.

"I'm a priority passenger, all business and first-class passengers have their luggage brought directly to the airline lounge. I need to make sure my luggage is safe. Please take me there ..."

Finally, Andrea took the girl to the airline lounge to take care of her luggage. Along the way, they caught people's attention, because Andrea was giving a piggyback ride to an adult woman while having a pair of stilettos hung in his backpack and a Prada handbag clung on his shoulder. That was quite a rare sight to behold.

"This is your luggage, Miss Ludwina," the officer said as he handed over the girl's two suitcases in the airline lounge. "You look unwell. Do you need a wheelchair?"

Andrea, who could imagine how hard it would be for him to push two suitcases and a wheelchair with the girl in it, immediately shook his head vigorously. He pulled a trolley from the corner and stacked the two suitcases on it. Then he lifted the girl and sat her at the very top.

"Ehh .. what the hell are you doing? I'm NOT a suitcase! Put me down from this trolley, NOW!" Ludwina protested when her body was lifted up and placed on the trolley together with her suitcases.

"I'm sorry, My lady. I can't push the trolley AND carry you at the same time. If you want your passport issue to be sorted out quickly, we must move now. I don't have much time. My plane is boarding in half an hour," Andrea said patiently.

Short chapter, but at least the story is moving.. ahahaha. Please be patient with me. XD
