Ties That Bind

Since ancient times, the humanoids of this world was given the ability to grow stronger through contracts made with the monster races. This paved the way for many adventuring elites to roam the wilderness in search of dungeons and artifacts. Until one day when a powerful dark force had grew in might and magic. The peaceful adventurers who rarely encountered strife learned the hard way that their world has changed. Death swiftly follows to the unprepared and weak. Generations of this endless cycle continued as the worlds adventure population dwindled. Now the denizens of this world use magic to summon others from another dimension to sign contracts. This is to both increase their might and magic as well as increase the chance of success. Not all creatures agree to be a familiar after all. Note: this is a slow process for me. It’s my first book that I have a goal in mind and hopefully can finish. Update: June 11th reconstruction being done on the beginning chapters. Didn’t do so hot on them so I want to try a different idea.
