chapter one: happy-not

do you know the feeling of having people that mean alot to you around you....to be able to hold there hands....to look them in the eyes....to see their smiles..so wide and bright....to hold them close.

*january 9th 2005 , 9:14*

i gripped my mom and dad's hand tightly as we went into the elevator, people crowded the whole elevator from left to right. people push a shove as they exit through the door.

"6th floor" are stop came and we exited the elevator doors.

my eyes traced the floors that were cold to make chills trace through your spine, each door we passed was Crystal clear like a diamonds.

"mommy why are the doors so beautiful?" I asked

"soo young that's just how they made this place" she said with a smile that was warm to the touch

"well,my lovely daughter this place might be beautiful but you never know how scary it can be" my father says as he made his hands to shake fearfully but with a cheeky smile

"daehyun!" my mom yelled

"what jamie, I'm just saying "

my family was not perfect neither was it bad, it was just right.

we turned corners till we arrived at room "209", I twist the silver doorknob and I peer at the three people in front of me. the small girl who had brown hair and dark brown eyes that looked like a 6 year old was in a blue dress and white shoe that blended with room, the other one was like in his early twenties or so.

he had black hair and dark brown eyes wore a oversized black shirt and a white pants and black shoes that looked like a ballroom type of shoe.

lastly there was woman that looked early twenties but she had brown and looked sort of orange hair that was long to her chest, she had a big smile on her face like it was her birthday.

"hi soo young " she said

"hi aunty seon lang" I say as I jumped into her arms , she smelled like daisies in summertime.

"you haven't changed" she said as she dropped me down on the floor.

"aunty did you notice that I grew taller" I stand up tall

"yes of course" she said in proudness

then she stepped back and push the little girl in front of me. her cheeks turned pinkish red, she seemed shy which made me bend my head to the right.

"h-h-hi" she stammered

"hi my name is soo young, what's yours?" I says I held my hand out

"soraya" she says as she shakes my hand

" how old are you?" I say questioning

"7" she said more comfortable

"oh I'm 5" I said sadly

"it's okay so you can call me nonna" she says smiling

"ok no-"

before I could complete my sentence and hard knock came from the door and a man stepped in and by the way he smiled it was all fake and his eyes looked like he had killed many.

his eyes darted at me to my parents and back again.

he walked towards me and kneeled down, I jolted back slamming into my dad's arm.

"oh sorry did I scare you" he said with a grin.

I gripped my dad's hand and he squeezed it.

"anyway" he said as he stood up " I would like to talk to your parents for a while"

"but-" I say as I scan the room my aunt and mom's faces look terrified, while my dad and uncle face looked angry

"soo young daddy and mommy need to do something quick..."

" but dad-"

" we will be back I promise " he says as he exited the room.

but something told me by the cold smile on the man's face and the aura of the room...I knew...we all did.. that this would be long.
