A small smile shaped my lips.

"Finally."

My condition had worsened.

Yet I needed to continue.

The weapon which would dictate whether I cleared the dungeon or not was in my hands.

I looked straight at my opponent with one noodle leg.

I was paining with exertion.

"Agh..."

The skin felt like it had peeled off, leaving only charcoal dust covering my leg.

It felt like the blood was only seconds away from spraying out, separated by a paper-thin layer of skin.

I was in a desperate condition.

—Gangnamwarrior1: Woah, I just joined and saw this. Is he okay? He looks like he can't continue.

A notification from the chat also popped next to my eyes while I limped.

The flames were not covered by the opponents sword.

The light-gray shadow of a greatsword was about to cover my entire face.

"Hmph!"

I used the momentum of the spear to slide to his left.

Immediately after the thrust directly impacted his body,

But he parried the attack and skidded using his feet with little to no effort.

The giant spark of electricity jolted against the weapon.

I swerved to his blind spot.

My spear performed a cutting wave strike to his waist.

It landed.

His body was thrown a few meters back as he maintained his stance.

Despite his unmoved eyes the armor didn't shield the impact completely.

His balance was slightly off.

'Got you.'

And I took that chance.

I closed in.

「 The skill 'Lightning Manipulation lvl.2' has been activated. 」

Sizzling roars of thunder surrounded the man.

I unleashed a fury of attacks until one last strike.

"Ahh!"

Thrust!—

The metal contacted the middle center of his chest.

The collision caused my body to fall back.

We both stopped in place.

"Huh?"

—There was a problem.

The lightning did barely enough damage as required.

The man stood while only suffering minor injuries.

'I'm certain I put my all into that attack.'

Most of the injuries he sustained were not by the lightning but by the spear.

This could only mean one thing.

'My lightning is too weak.'

I only had two abilities which were low level.

That's why...

"I need a stronger skill."

Usually I'd need to get stronger in order to unlock skills but even if the cases were rare,

I could still form a skill.

Fume!—

But the question was how?

A darker and more intense flame surrounded the sword.

The scorching heat also enveloped his body—in another way.

'Hm?'

The wavy steam wiggled around his body.

It completely surrounded him.

I closed the notifications.

I couldn't get distracted.

"Hooo..."

My eyes narrowed down on his armor.

'If I use my normal lightning skills, his armor would just absorb my lightning.'

So I needed a new lightning-based attack which would prevent that.

Swift!—

The oppositions legs trotted towards me,

I needed to think fast.

'Flames..'

I jabbed at his head, then arms and feet.

Each time was blocked thanks to the greatsword's wide length.

'Armor..'

The sword swiped to my body which I ducked and jabbed at the armor.

It caused little damage.

'Greatsword..'

An idea immediately flashed into my head.

"Ah..."

I kicked off of his face and back flipped to distance myself.

"I got it."

A couple ideas floated in my mind.

I was not 100% sure of which one would work so I arranged them by prioritizing the higher probability option.

The hero couldn't predict what I was thinking as it was only an advanced manikin.

And not human.

「 'Lightning Manipulation lvl.2' activated. 」

The vivid purple light crackled chaotically.

But it was slowly controlled,

Until it was sputtering in a small radius of fifty centimeters.

The condensed lightning was the only thing I focused on.

My spear was on my side.

I expanded the ball until it was the size of me and tried launching it like magic.

But that failed.

'Tch.'

The man sprayed a line of flames in my direction.

I grabbed the spear and rolled to the side.

'The lightning can only function as a coating.'

Which eliminated everything but one choice.

"It's risky..."

Except the fact that I had no choice.

It was all a gamble.

"Hup!"

I dashed directly at the man with no openings.

Once I was in his reach he striked me down,

Or so he thought.

"Hup!"

I jumped on the fiery blade then shoulders like a fly swarming around him.

I stood on his shoulders and leapt very high thanks to my high agility stat.

Instead of using my other skills...

「 Lightning Manipulation lvl.2 activated. 」

I pummeled downwards while coating my spear intensely.

The red-haired man realized my move but his efforts were futile as my momentum was too fast.

CRAACCCKLLEE!—

The condensed lightning along with my spear pummeled down to his chest.

He embraced the contact.

Boom!—

I crouched on my feet then stood up.

The last opponent was lying on the floor while his armor was severely burnt.

Fuuummee!—

All of a sudden fire began enveloping his body as he slowly tried to get up-

"Auuggh!!"

I screamed in pain as I stopped it completely by ending his life.

「 Detected new circumstances and attack pattern. 」

「 Creating skill... 」

I stared at the multiple windows forming after retrieving my spear.

「 You have acquired the skill named 'Thunder Pummel'. 」

「 Your [Lightning Manipulation] efficiency has increased. 」

「 The skill named 'Lightning Manipulation' has leveled up. 」

「 You have defeated the last opponent. 」

"Phew..."

I fell on my back.

More chat notifications appeared.

But I didn't want to look at them.

My body was tired and so was my eyes.

'I just want to sleep...'

I slowly drifted off into the darkness.

And fell unconscious.
