PROLOGUE !

Do you know fear? The fear of losing everything you own in one night, the fear of losing everyone you love at the break of dawn. The fear of encountering the master of the Boulevard of the Lying Down.

There exists someone in this world who does not know these fears. Perhaps because he is certain he will never have to face them? No. On the contrary, he has already faced them all.

At the age of 8, his parents, who barely spoke to him anymore, abandoned him with his dying grandmother. A year later, upon her death, an incident involving his grandmother's dubious maid forced him to flee into the forest, becoming a fugitive in the eyes of the state for voluntary manslaughter.

After being publicly humiliated and narrowly escaping death numerous times, a legend is about to be born. Emerging from the depths of darkness to rise to the highest peak of light, before plunging back to accomplish a quest for power.

This is the story of Atlas Turner!

"Hmmm… you again? When will you finally decide to leave me alone," said a young adult, frustrated, as he lay on the ground in a pool of blood, his back against the wall of a building already in ruins as if he had been thrown there like a stone.

"I… regret for you… *cough* but I haven't… started thinking… about my death yet, so… you can leave," he said with great difficulty, spitting out a significant amount of blood.

In front of the young man, a remarkable being dominated the surrounding atmosphere. Completely covered in a black veil, only a tiny part of its face, its hands, and feet were visible. It was a skeleton holding a scythe in its hands, looking emotionlessly at the young man's blood-covered body.

"You… annoy me… 'Death'!"

This thing facing him was indeed Death, come to guide him to the realm of the dead. But he refused to submit to this fate.

So, he gritted his teeth, grabbed his two swords on the ground beside him, and tried to get up despite the gaping hole in his chest. But as his will to fight began to bear fruit, numerous hands emerged from the ground around him, grabbing him and pinning him back to the ground.

These hands belonged to the undead. No, to decaying corpses whose bodies moved under the influence of dark magic inflicting excruciating pain upon them. They began to emerge completely from the ground, some even biting into the young man's skin, and others grabbing him through the hole in his chest. It was a macabre spectacle worthy of being watched by Death itself.

"Does this… amuse you… huh? Tss… not for long."

Magic of Creation:

{BODY RECONSTITUTION}

The young man's normally irreversible wound disappeared. Every organ, blood, skin, which had previously been reduced to nothingness, took shape again until the huge hole completely disappeared.

Now completely healed, he cast a glance, just one glance, to drive away "Death."

"Get lost." his gaze… made Death flee.

In a violent whirlwind, all the pain, desolation, and despair accompanying "Death" disappeared. The Skeleton that came to take him to the realm of the damned was no more, yet leaving the mark of its presence behind, given the sinister atmosphere that had permanently settled there.

"You didn't seriously think I would die from this, 'Eternebis'," said the young man, pointing one of his swords at another man in front of him.

When death still manifested itself, the young man, with white hair on one side and black on the other, no longer saw this man he called "Eternebis," as if he had been transported to another dimension. And now that he had managed to defy the inevitability of death, he was back, ready to fight.

"So, the rumors are true. You master the law of creation," said Eternebis.

The man with human features had lime green eyes seeming to emanate the energy of life fully, in contrast with his long black hair from which emanated the aura of death. Standing at 2 meters 50 supported by a sturdy body, the young man, only 1 meter 65, looked minuscule.

- You were able to seal the hole I made in you thanks to your magic. Well, but what about the rest?

- Come closer, and you'll find out. Replied the young man, smiling.

- Ahahah! The law of Creation against the law of Life and Death. Who will prevail? Our fight starts now. Eternebis got excited. "Before we begin, what is your name, young human?"

- Remember this name, Alnair, the one who will defeat you, as well as each of your kind to seize INFINITY.

Just as he finished speaking, Alnair rushed at his opponent, resuming their fight.

Magic of Creation: {VEIL OF 10,000 SWORDS}

Literally, 10,000 swords appeared out of nowhere above the enemy. Looking up, the latter replied:

"Truly… frightening. But, I hope you have something better in store."

The 10,000 swords descended one after the other continuously at a frantic speed, tearing Eternebis's body again and again.

At the end of this assault, nothing was left of his body. At least, for a while.

Magic of Life: {REBIRTH}

Eternebis's body reconstituted itself, this aspect of his magic resembling Alnair's technique to heal himself. Only the processes were different. Where Alnair had recreated his damaged organs before dying, Eternebis had just given himself back the life he had lost.

- Life and death belong to me. I die and live only, and only if I wish.

- Damn law. Cursed Alnair, preparing to attack again.

Neither of them had come to lose; they began to fight with all their might, causing astronomical damage to their surroundings. They made everything related to their magic nonexistent: the ground, the ruins, the trees in the distance. In a radius of over 1000 meters around, their power affected EVERYTHING.

It defied understanding. No logic could explain the level of these superpowers.

As their fight approached its end, they began to use their most powerful techniques.

Manifestation of Law: {LIFE CANCELLATION}

In the direction where Eternebis extended his arm, all life disappeared. Alnair, who didn't have time to fully dodge the attack, saw his arm putrefy on the spot. But it meant nothing to him, as he too mastered a law.

Manifestation of Law: {LIFE CREATION}

"Damn it!" Eternebis exclaimed.

It was now evident that he was losing his composure. Several times he tried to reach his opponent, but each time, Alnair instantly returned to his original state. Then he decided to launch the final blow.

Magic of Death: {HELL'S LEGIONS}

100,000! No, 1,000,000! Hmm… no one knows and no one will ever know the number of tormented dead bursting from the ground for "one man"!

The aura of each of these abominations repelled life around them. And their screams would drive away the very source of that life.

"Such a turn of events is truly the worst thing that could happen in the world. For someone to have fully mastered one of the fundamental laws, the foundation of the world," muttered Alnair, beginning to gather a massive amount of mana around him. "I must stop it here and now!"

Magic of Creation: {BIRTH OF THE FIRST TITAN}

Huge, gigantic, astronomical, all euphemisms to describe what was taking shape above the army of countless dead of Eternebis. The latter could only watch, before falling to his knees.

"He wasn't this monstrous at the beginning of our battle. This strength, it's DIVINE."

Just as the number couldn't be counted in Eternebis' army, the height of this thing couldn't be gauged. Despite having a humanoid shape, no detail could be seen on its entire body.

It was only kneeling, yet its length stretched for hundreds of kilometers. For a Titan, it was indeed one.

With a single hand, in one swift motion, it swept away, as if it were nothing, the entirety of the "Hell's Legions."

Then Eternebis, head bowed, felt the gaze of this thing upon him.

"Will I really survive? Can the Law of Life and Death truly resurrect me from such a death?" He wondered, sweating profusely. "Regardless, I won't leave like this. I'll take at least a part of you with me."

- What?!

- Give me... YOUR EYES!

A black veil instantly covered Alnair's eyes. And blood began to flow. When Eternebis looked into the palm of his right hand, two eyes were there, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face before disappearing under the Titan's hand.

In a world where approaching one's dream is already difficult, a heavy toll is often demanded to hope to see its fulfillment.

In Alnair's case, he lost his eyes but could never achieve his dream...

"So much sacrifice... for so little accomplishment. Will there be at least one person capable of it? Another person who will dare to try? ... Another fool who will defy you, deities? ... Another dreamer who will seek 'INFINITY'."
