Chapter 99

Akila,

The young queen woke up with a start. Her breathing was labored, and her body was drenched in a cold sweat.

She looked beside her and found her husband sound asleep, so she just got out of bed slowly in order not to wake him up.

Akila went to the king's chamber's balcony and took a deep breath, feeling the cold crisp air tingle her throat and lungs.

She didn't remember the last events that happened she only knows she was crying and Anubis came to visit her.

The young god embraced her and told her that he helped the two females to cross over and they were enjoying the world beyond.

Akila then went to sleep tired and drained. The next morning, she woke up down and was still tired.

The royal physician told her that it was because of the trauma she went through and that she was the only one to get herself out of this emotional pain.

And that is how she has been spending the following days after the female's execution.
