Chapter 69

Ramses,

The king leaned against one of the columns as he coughed violently. He looked down at his hand and sneered.

The amount of blood that he coughs have been doubled and now he feels tired and dizzy most of the time.

He needs to finish his task before he joins his ancestors and he has to endure the pain much longer.

Omari had tried to get tonics and medicines for him, but so far, nothing had worked.

And even though he didn't have high hopes from the beginning, he thought that someone might help him.

He wasn't disappointed as much as he was angry and resentful. The gods had forsaken him the same as his father.

He thought that his fate might have been better than his father's, but in the end, their bloodline is cursed.

He fell onto his chair as he watched his people move around and tend to their jobs.

He will miss this view when he passes away. He thought it would be easy to give everything up, but now he is bitter.
