Getting home late in the middle of the night is not idea for me but I did not want to stay with those stupid alphas who think they know everything for another day. Getting up to start my day I could already feel our mate at the resort. My beast has been very unsettled and begging me to go see her. I have had to push him down multiple times and tell him that he has to wait. I hate that she is human. The goddess promised us a strong and powerful mate.  I have nothing against humans as mates for others, I personally refuse to have a human mate. 

Coffee. Coffee it what I need this morning. Black and very strong. I have a long day ahead of me working to get things caught up from my absence. My brother is very good with keeping the pack going while I am away, but I still like to get reports when I return just so that I know if there have been and changes while I was away. Walking down to the kitchen I can smell a light scent of honeysuckle and vanilla throughout the halls, it's the most heavenly scent that has ever crossed my nose. 

"We need to see her. Find our mate NOW!" 

"Calix, I do not want a human mate! Now stop it! I am not going to her!"

"You will regret it if do not go to her. She will complete us. You will be sorry."

"I doubt it Calix. We need a strong mate that is also a shifter. Not some human that does not understand our ways."

"You have little faith in the goddess. She would never pair us with someone that we do not need." 

"Calix enough! I don't want her!"

And with that my beast retreats to the back of my mind and puts a block up. Standing in the kitchen pouring my coffee my whole-body stiffens when I feel her presences in the kitchen. Goddess she smells heavenly. No, I do not want her for a mate. I have always told myself that will never take a human for a mate. I do my best to act normal and continue pouring my coffee until I feel her arms wrap around my waist. I can't believe how my body decided to respond to her. It is such a traitor. 

"Good Morning" she says as she lays her head against my back. Oh goddess she feels amazing against me. Such a feeling that just takes over my entire body. I can't help but relish and think about the bond and how the electric just flows through her touch to me. But she is human. 

'Hey Bro, where are you?'

'In the kitchen with your mate Bryson'

'She is your mate to. Are you still making the choice to not take her as your mate brother?'

'Correct, I will not take a human for my mate.'

'Brother she still does not know that there are three of us yet. I am still the only one of us that she knows so far, I have not come up with a really good plan to tell her about all of us yet.'

'Why not just tell her dude. Seriously, if she wants you she will understand.'

'Do you seriously think that will work. I really do not want to scare her off. I already love her and cannot live without her.'

'You better be quick about telling her because I do not want to do this again. Clear.'

'Please Brother. I will figure something out on how to tell her. Please don't ruin this for us.'

"I will try'

I put a smile on my face and turn to face her "Well good morning Baby Doll" I lean down and give her a quick kiss on the lips. Oh goddess that was the most amazing kiss I have ever had. It was just a quick peck but wow. 

"Feeling bold this morning I see" she says while giggling like a teenager. "I came down to have a quick breakfast before I go to the clinic. Do you mind walking me this morning?" This was not part of the plan. I know that the more time that I am around her the stronger the mate bond will become and I do not want it to become stronger. 

"Hmm. Sure Baby Doll, I'd love to walk you this morning." I guess it will not hurt to indulge in the feeling that she is giving me for just a little bit. How bad can it be right? She walks into the pantry to grab something and a water from the refrigerator and then it happens. She turns and looks at me and…. She smiles. It is just a tiny smile but it tells me how she truly feels right now. She enjoys the fact that I have been watching her.  I am not sure what happen but I have to touch her. 

'We made out mate happy' Calix says as he purrs in my head 

'I still do not want a human for a mate, but I let you have this moment'  I close our link and take a step to her and place my hand on her cheek and give her a smile. She is very beautiful. 

"I will never get tired of watching you, you look lovely today by the way." Did I just say that out loud? 

'YEP' Calix pops in 

No, no, no, I can't do this. I cannot let the bond get ahold of me. I can't. She brings me out of my thoughts when she asks if I am ready. Walking to the clinic I notice how she takes in all of the nature that surrounds us at the resort. After we arrive at the clinic she ask me to talk a walk with her in the woods this afternoon, I can't help but agree for some reason. I know I shouldn't because it will only strengthen the bond but I agree anyways. 

'Give her a chance. I feel that she is stronger than a normal human. She is special, let's have a picnic with her in the woods. Let me be with her please.'

'What do you mean she is special?'

'I am not sure, but I can just feel it. There is something about her that is special.'

'Ok'

"Alright Baby Doll, I will come back and get you for lunch, how about we have a picnic while we are on our walk?" I do not have a doubt that she will agree since Bryson has already told me about their daily walks in the woods. She agrees and the next thing I feel is her hand on the back of my neck pulling me down and her lips on my own. A feeling that I automatically love. She pulls back and starts to walk into the clinic as I stand there with what I can only assume is the goofiest look on my face. She turns to me and says "Don't work to hard, I want to be able to relax with your during our walk." And with that she walks into the clinic. 

'Bryson we need to talk.'
