Chapter 5 - Eden Academy

In most games, either a golden question mark or an exclamation mark hovers above the NPC's heads and it indicates that they hold a quest, in most cases these quests are the main quests which are the important quests.

Main quests are jobs, work, or tasks that are distributed to every player to let them earn experience points, money, or even items and equipment.

As Dave, Steven, and Kanna had seen a golden exclamation mark on an NPC, they quickly rushed to him and what a coincidence they had also found the place that they had been looking for, the Eden Academy.

"Welcome noobs" The man in front of them talked.

Kanna and Dave could not believe what they had just heard and they looked angry.

"What did you just say, you old man?" said Kanna while cracking her knuckles.

"I said. Welcome noobs" the old man said again.

Irritated Kanna roared, "Hold me tightly you guys or I might just do something really bad on this bald and wrinkled old man!"

As Kanna said so, Steven and Dave tightly held her.

Steven talked in the most respectful way, "Excuse me sir, may we be able to go inside?"

The old man just nodded and opened the door. Dave went inside first, and Steven followed while carrying Kanna on his shoulder. Then suddenly a notification popped up.

[Quest - Enroll and Graduate on Eden Academy

As a new and fresh aspiring adventurer, what you need in the vast field is knowledge and experience. Enroll in Eden Academy and let the teachers and trainers train you.

As they all read what's written on the notification, they all accepted it simultaneously. The exclamation mark on the old man who is in the front door had vanished and it had been transferred to the sexy bunny girl receptionist inside the Academy.

They went straight to the receptionist and wow she had big boobies.

"...." Steven, Kanna, and Dave were speechless at the narrator.

Anyways, they went to the receptionist and requested to be enrolled in the Academy.

Dave talked to the receptionist, "The three of us would like to enroll ourselves in the Academy, will that be available?"

The receptionist smiled brightly, "Sure, but it is 1 gold coin for every person. However, if you don't have any money to pay right now, you could avail yourselves of the 'Enroll me now, pay later'."

"Is there anything special to that?" Dave asked.

"Well, aside from having to learn first before paying. There's really nothing special to it. However, if you decided to avail it you would also have to pay 3 gold coins each.

As the receptionist finished talking, the three of them had a brief meeting about what to do. In the end, they had decided to avail it. After telling the receptionist that they would avail it. She brought out 3 papers and distributed them to us.

Then she instructed us on what to write on the paper and we followed along. After we had finally finished all the paperworks, the exclamation mark above her also faded.

"Great! Now, you can go look for Mr. Kane. He is located on the 2nd floor's first room." She said while pointing her finger to a direction where the stairs are.

We all waved to the receptionist and went to the second floor. After finally arriving at the room the receptionist instructed. Dave knocked on the door and slowly opened it.

*Door Creaks*

We all went inside and noticed a guy standing inside the room looking out the window. He has an amazing build. His muscles were bulging as he was wearing a tight shirt.

"Stand in line!" he shouted.

Intimidated Dave, Steven, and Kanna stood in line. The guy finally turned around to see the new enrollees.

"I am Kane, your instructor until you graduate from this Academy." he sat down on his chair, "I only have one rule, to obey what I order and to never complain."

Dave corrected Kane, "That's two sir."

"Shut up, I don't care about your opinion."

"Yes daddy." Dave murmured.

"Now, as your first lesson, I need you to defeat 10 rabbits."

As instructor Kane had finished talking a notification popped up.

[Quest - Defeat 10 wild rabbits

Reward: Proceed to the 2nd lesson
