The Controlled Nuclear Fusion team didn't have a prototype, just a model.

The staff of this project team was almost all busy on their computers, and when Yang Dong and others appeared, they just glanced up and then immediately returned their attention to their computer screens.

The model was placed in the hall of this group, in the shape of a Mongolian yurt. Around the "Mongolian yurt," there were many oddly shaped computer cases.

Yang Dong explained, "Just recently, Ding Yi calculated that the traditional 'tokamak approach' is a dead end, and at the same time, he proposed a new idea.

"The new idea is currently in the verification stage, but the construction of the future prototype probably won't vary much from this model.

"The reactor is in the center, with surrounding instruments forming a force field to constrain the nuclear fusion reaction, some for heat conduction, and some for cooling."

Jiang Yu laughed, "In this respect, I have quite a bit of admiration for Teacher Ding Yi. I hope he can achieve a new breakthrough."

There wasn't much to see at the "Artificial Sun" project team; after all, it was still in the verification stage, with only a theoretical model composed of numbers and symbols, which Jiang Yu couldn't understand.

The "family of three" also attracted a lot of attention in the cafeteria during their meal.

Sixteen was somewhat dissatisfied, "Why should I be called 'Yang Dong's son'? Don't I have a name?"

Jiang Yu laughed, "In the future, when you've achieved great things, we'll be known as 'Sixteen's father' and 'Sixteen's mother'!"

He continued laughing, "Our little family is quite odd! The relationship between a family of three is so blurry.

"How about this, you just be called Jiang Shiliu."

Sixteen pondered for a moment and nodded, "That name sounds pretty good."

Jiang Yu then said to Yang Dong, "And Yang Dong, after your work comes to a close, let's get married."

Jiang Shiliu couldn't bear to watch, "That's too hasty a marriage proposal!"

"What do you know!" Jiang Yu laughed, "Your mom likes it simple and direct, saves trouble!"

Jiang Shiliu looked curiously at Yang Dong again.

After a bit of thought, Yang Dong said, "Up to now, I have had no plans to marry."

She paused and then added, "But you indeed are the most suitable partner I've found so far."

Jiang Yu laughed, "No problem, I'll wait a little longer."

After thinking again, Yang Dong said, "I heard that Hibernation Technology will mature in the next few years; I want to hibernate, to meet the apocalypse battle.

"Whether we win or not, that will be when humanity makes its final stand against the entire universe."

"I'll hibernate in the future too," Jiang Yu said. "But I'll wake up now and then, since there are still things I need to do."

He asked in a tone of negotiation, "Shall we hold our wedding before you hibernate?

"When you wake up, your husband will face the apocalyptic war with you!"

Yang Dong nodded, "Okay, but let's not make it too complicated."

Jiang Shiliu chimed in, "Why do I always feel like you two are having a scientific discussion rather than talking about marriage?"

Jiang Yu tousled his hair, "Kid, you don't know jack! The essence of discussing marriage is all about compatibility, and once both sides feel it's right, the deal is done."

The family of three finished dinner, and Jiang Yu suggested going to Yang Dong's dormitory for a visit.

Yang Dong disagreed, but Jiang Yu insisted, and upon arriving at Yang Dong's dormitory, he understood why she had been hesitant.

It turned out the girl's room was a mess, not dirty, just scattered with drawings and books everywhere.

The three of them worked together to tidy up the space, finally clearing space for three chairs and a small table.

Jiang Yu moved the small table in front of the window, while Yang Dong made two quite decent cups of coffee; as there were no other drinks available, she had no choice but to make a cup of brown sugar water for Jiang Shiliu.

The three sat around the small table, books and drawings at their feet, admiring the moonlit scenery while chatting leisurely.

Most of the experimental base's structures were built underground; the white building above ground was mainly for entertainment, rest, and dining.

Yang Dong and Jiang Shiliu began discussing a topic about dark matter, with Jiang Shiliu saying that after his last conversation with Yang Dong, he suddenly had some inspiration in this area.

According to his thoughts over the past two years, he speculated whether dark matter might be the intermediary for gravity?

After all, gravity is so unique among the four natural forces; Jiang Shiliu wondered if it might be the invisible dark matter pulling on all celestial bodies.

Take the Solar System, for example, gravity could exchange virtual particles with other celestial bodies on a massive scale through dark matter as the medium, thus forming a gravitational relationship.

Jiang Shiliu concluded, "If this speculation can be confirmed, then dark matter will truly be seen everywhere."

Yang Dong also shared her views and mentioned the string theory she hadn't discussed for a long time.

With the existence of Sophon, any theory of string theory is currently unverifiable; Yang Dong had many guesses and ideas pent up in her, and today she finally found the opportunity to discuss them.

Jiang Yu understood only part of these topics; his role was to interject with jokes during the conversation, filling the room with laughter and joy from time to time.

Yang Dong hadn't had such a warm conversation in a long time; when Jiang Yu and Jiang Shiliu said their goodbyes after eleven at night, she felt a bit reluctant to see them go.

After Jiang Yu and his son walked away, Jiang Shiliu said, "With your proactive personality, you should have tried to stay over; why did you just leave like that?"

"Her plan to hibernate is a form of escape. Once she has a new goal in life, she will definitely open up to me."

Jiang Shiliu shook his head, "I don't get you adults."

Jiang Yu laughed, "You still have a lot to learn!"

The next day, Jiang Yu and Jiang Shiliu were to leave. As usual, Jiang Yu gave Yang Dong a hug, "A thousand words are no match for a genuine hug!"

After the two parted, Yang Dong looked at Jiang Shiliu with a smile, "I'm a bit worried you might be wronged following Jiang Yu."

Jiang Yu laughed, "A boy needs his father to raise him; that way, he'll grow up tough enough."
