Everything seemed to slow down for Laiten as the words from his best friend registered in his head, he couldn't see him, he couldn't see the old man standing right next to him.
"what do you mean, can't you see him? He's standing right next to me" says Laiten gesturing to the oddly quiet old man by his side.
"dude there's nobody there it's just space see?" says Killian moving his hand around the area and to Laiten's surprise and horror Killian's hands went right through the old man.
"What?....what the hell is going on -hey!" Laiten pauses his sentence as his best friend gets knocked out right before of him by his Grandfather.
"Grandad why'd you do that, What going on" says Laiten catching Killian and placing him down on the floor.
"oh dear, did I do that? Well, then it seems my time to play is up" The voice that came from his grandfather's lips was not that of his grandfather....it sounded like a woman's voice.
"what is this...what the hell is going on? Who are you?"
"so many questions oh my how should I answer them all, well Enzo did say you were....not the brightest or the quietest"
"E-Enzo? You're...you're a Fae aren't you," says Laiten slowly realizing the gravity of the situation he was in.
"Good guess, Chosen one" Laiten watched in shock, fear, and horror as his 'grandfather' transformed into a lady a long white-haired lady dressed in a blood-red cloth that seemed to drip from her body like real blood dripping from her pale skin, a chilling yet reserved smile played on her lips as red eyes quite like Enzo's stared him down.
"hello there my my you're quite cute up close, my oh my Enzo didn't tell me you were such a stunner," she said running the tip of her fingers down his cheek creating a sharp cut with so little pressure, Laiten yelped stepping back from the creature before him he wouldn't survive if he stayed here alone and Killian, he'd get caught in this shit too, he needed help...he needs Draken.
"oh? What are you thinking about dear boy? Humor me with your human thoughts I would love to hear what's going on in that little coconut you call ahead"
"you're going to kill me...aren't you," says Laiten
"oh my dear of course not, you're too important right now" she replies with sickening sweetness to her voice.
"Now then why don't you come with me I'll show you a great time," she says approaching him.
"No I'm not stupid enough to follow an ugly thing like you" replies Laiten without thinking about his words, The fae didn't like that, not a bit and it was obvious as her soft smile faded as quickly as it had appeared.
"well I never, how can a gentleman be so rude well that attitude won't get you anywhere with women especially not me, and you don't have anyone to be your right-hand man now do you" she says a dark chuckle erupting from her as a grin places itself on her face.
"where's Draken...where the hell is Draken" asks Laiten his voice echoing through his house.
"Who? Why I don't know who that is," she says feigning innocence.
"I said where is he?!"
"That's enough this is such a horrible first date you ask unnecessary questions come now I'll train you properly for the second date" She begins her approach, with slow, calculated, and purposeful steps, Laiten was assured he had very little time left he would be taken if he didn't do something, but what the hell is he supposed to do, a human boy against a Fae? Impossible...he needs Draken.
"god dammit Draken where the hell are you, why;d you just disappear and tell me nothing," says Laiten gritting his teeth in fear..fear of dying...fear of failing the world...he's supposed to be the chosen one.
"Who are you talking to huh? Nobody will hear you, you're not in your neighborhood anymore" she says approaching steadily. Laiten around his little apartment it seemed much bigger than it should have been, Killian still lay on the floor by his leg he'd get killed if things went wrong.
"This can't be happening what am I supposed to do, what can I even do I'm useless here Draken where the fuck are you?! Get hear right fuckin' now if you can hear me!"
"Nothing is going to happen so shut up you're bothering my ears," she says closing the distance her dress wrapping around his neck.
"I was told to bring you alive but nobody said you had to be in good condition," she says sending him into the weak walls of the little apartment. A sharp gasp is released as the air in his lungs is forcefully knocked out by the sudden impact.
"Such a useless thing...the chosen one...such a joke," she says picking him up again by the neck.
"Drak- Dra-ken get here...come here....you're..you're supposed to be here" he squeezes amidst his struggle for air.
"What is that? What are you saying? I can't hear you my dear" she says forcefully sending him through the walls relishing in his pained yelps.
"so pathetic you can't even fend for yourself, you're lucky I have a thing for weak men you'll make a good spouse don't you think?" she says a wry grin playing on red-painted lips.
"Drak- Drak-en" Laiten gasps as he is continuously thrown around the apartment like a ragged doll. Finally, she decides to pay attention to the unconscious boy on the apartment floor.
"yes yes I know this one, the fool who spoilt my little fun he'd make for an annoying spouse although maybe an interesting pet," she says picking an unconscious Killian by his collared shirt.
"no! Killian!, put him down you didn't come for him," Laiten says standing up from the rubble.
"oh silence don't get jealous I'm only scouting future pets," she says pushing his head back into the rubble her liquid blood dress still wrapped around his neck.
"now then I wonder what tricks this one can do," she says a sickening smirk on her face.
"Draken get here NOW! That's a freaking order is that what you wanna hear?!"
"yes...Master"
