That Face
I turned around and saw a face
Beyond all beauty and all amaze
My jaw sunk down onto the floor
My heartbeat stopped slammed like a door
Slowed in time I remembered that face
Smiling and laughing with eyes like grace
My worry melted like a melting snow
On a sunny day left with all but cold
The cold I feel is missing that face
Within that time, that place, or space
I'll never forget that blessed day
The day I saw your wonderful face.
