Chapter 14: Human Town (II)

Gourilla pointed his sword towards Morax.

"I don't think it's alright to draw your sword infront of the visitors, and more or less threatened them." Morax said as he was unfazed by the situation.

"Oh, I'm impressed by you confidence. But unfortunately for you, I'm a professional knight and a swordsman." Gourilla claimed himself as a professional or whatever.

"You said your a knight, right? Then why are you doing this?" Morax asked.

"That's right I'm a knight, a knight who protects people." Gourilla replied, then a malicious smirk appeared on his face.

"So you should let that girl express her gratitude towards me with her body, right?" Gourilla asked as he look at me with his disgusting eyes, without realizing that he just threw his pointless life away.

"I see..." Morax muttered.

Oh boy, Gourilla's dead for sure.

"Then I'll have to decline." Morax replied as he smiles but his eyes weren't.

"Oh, don't misunderstood. This is not a request or an offer, it's more like I'm ordering you." Gourilla said.

"What if I'll get in your way?" Morax asked as he smile. Upon hearing Morax's words, another smirk appeared on Gourilla's face.

"Then, I'll just have to dispose of you." Gourilla replied. After Gourilla said that, he began to move.

Gourilla dashed towards Morax and tried to give a slash at him vertically.

"Huh?!" I was startled because Morax suddenly grabbed my hand and pull me closer to him. Morax placed me infront of him and , his using my body a meat shield to protect himself from the sword. Gourilla's sword landed on my head, his sword shattered upon making contact with my head.

"Ouch!" I shouted as I cover my head instantly with my hands after being hit, then I realized something.

"Huh? It doesn't hurt?" I asked myself in confusion as I only feel a little itchy on my head instead of getting hurt from Gourilla's attack.

"What the fuck happened?" Gourilla muttered as he was also confused and shock.

"Surprised?" Morax asked, I turned around and saw him with a smug on his face.

"Why did you do that?" I asked Morax while pouting.

"Hey-"

"Well, I wanted you to know how strong you are now," Morax replied.

"But still, I thought you'd betray me," I said as tears welled up a little in my eyes.

"-was that-"

"Ah... Sorry, I won't do it again," Morax felt a little bad about it so he apologized.

"Promise?" I asked.

"Yes, promise," Morax replied and my mood was lightened back to normal or so I thought.

"DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME, YOU BASTARDS!" Gourilla snapped out and now showing an annoyed expression.

"I fucking said what was that?" Gourilla asked.

Ah, I completely forgot about him for a second.

"Oh yeah, I forgot that you were there for a second," Morax just said my thoughts out loud.

"Y-you fucking forgot?" Gourilla muttered in an annoyed expression.

"I don't know what kind of trick you both used to break my sword, but I will kill you with brute force then," Gourilla said as the annoyance on his face got even more worst.

Gourilla dashed towards us, I move a few feet away and then, Gourilla used his left hand to throw a punch at Morax's face however, Morax blocked Gourilla's fist with his right hand a few inches before it land.

"What the?" Gourilla was startled and then he tried to get away, but Morax's grip was so strong for him to escape.

"So weak, are you a bug or something?" Morax asked to mock Gourilla. Upon hearing Morax's mockery, Gourilla used his other hand to throw another punch at him, but then again, it was easily blocked by Morax's left hand.

"FUCKING BASTA-Ugh" Gourilla's words were cut off, he was kick by Morax in the gut and was knocked back a foot near me. Gourilla noticed that I was near him and came up with a stupid idea.

'That bastard asked for it, then I'll use this bitch,' Gour thought.

Gourilla grabbed me by the shoulder and move closer behind me, he then grab a knife from his boots and pointed it to my neck. Like straight from a holdupping scene of a movie.

Did this guy just forgot that his sword was shattered because of me? If he did then his way more than just an idiot.

"Don't come any closer or else," Gourilla tried to threaten Morax by taking me as a hostage.

"I'll cut this bitch's neck," Gourilla said as he move the knife more closer to my neck.

"Pfft," Morax was now trying to not laugh at Gourilla's threat.

"Huh? What are you laughing at?" Gourilla asked as he was confused why Morax laugh.

Well, even I wanted to laugh too.

"Um... Dear, this trash is getting annoying, so can you please stop playing around." I said as I made eye contact with Morax and smiles.

"*Sighed* I guess play time's over huh," Morax said as he raised his right hand forward.

"Good boy," I said.

Suddenly, Gourilla who was on my back, vanished and appeared infront of Morax. Then, Morax grab Gourilla's neck and lift him above the ground.

"Ur-ugh," Gourilla began to shakes his body while his hands were scratching and pushing Morax's hand with all his might however, he wasn't strong enough.

"S... s... stop," Gourilla said. After a few minutes, Gourilla lost all oh his strength.

*Crack* a cracking sound can be heard because of Morax just broke Gourilla's neck to make sure that Gourilla's dead. Morax let go of Gourilla's body and then, the shadows from the ground began to swallow the dead body. Despite witnessing the whole situation, I didn't feel guilty, shock or terrify, those kind of emotions should be normal after witnessing a murder for the first time. However, I didn't feel them.

Ever since the first day I met Morax, I kinda already know that his not a human being but something else, I can tell by pure instinct. I don't exactly know what he really is, but I still didn't asked him. There's also a time when he told me that I had a first life and that I was his wife, but I also didn't asked him for more details. I didn't asked, not because it's troublesome or because I'm too lazy to asked. It's because I feel like I'll know the answer for myself soon, very very soon.

There's also another thing I noticed, every seconds I spent with Morax, I feel like something changes in me. Or more like the empty space inside me is filling up. The more I intercourse with Morax, the more I felt that I lost my humanity however, I don't mind it since I felt like I can be whatever I want.

I can feel it, it's near, the day that I will remember my past is near, The past that I had forgotten.

Morax said that after I remember our past, There is also a chance to get myself fully revive.
