I was once a human that died, but reincranted as monster. Honestly I'm annoyed. Annoyed at my self. I died a stupid death and my life was boring.... You know what? Screw this shit! I will live a life the way i want to! I'm monster? So what! I will live as the monster if i need to! I don't care if i eat a human or not! I will do what ever i want to!
(The only way to quickly level up a lot is to kill at least 1 or 2 humans, but with my current strength it will be physically impossible to won a fair fight.)
(So, I have to play dirty. I have to ambush a human and land a critical attack that would leave a serious injury.)
(If a real fight would start, then I would have high chance of dying. Even those two girls from before who were even worse than me when it comes to fighting could kill me.)
(It would be nice if I had some sort of poison or something, but I don't have anything like that.)
(I can maybe kill those green raccoons and pour their poison over my claws, but that would be way too dangerous to me.)
(!)
(Wait! That's it!)
(This is stupid idea and very risky, but if it works out then I may have ability to kill a human, without dying!)
(However, there is a good chance it will fail.)
(…But it's the only idea I have. It's stupid and it has good chance failing, but its only idea in my head that may work out.)
(…)
(Fuck it. Let's do it.)
I've began wondering around the forest, trying to set up the necessary preparation, while also looking around for any lone humans.
I found one human that was wearing a heavy armor…. Yea. I'm not fucking with him.
But by the look of things, he wasn't here to hunt the monster? He just heeded in the deeper parts of the forest. I guess he must be some sort of higher rank adventurer?
Either way, I don't like this.
Even if he did ignored this place, I may end up running into him in the future if not another high ranking adventurer.
But I'm also curios about something, why I'm seeing humans now? Before I barely saw no humans at all, but now humans are now suddenly wondering around the forest?
Is there a reason why the humans weren't wondering in the forest before? If so, it would explain why I haven't seen any when I was born.
But that also gives me new question: Why were they not in the forest?
Honestly, it could be multiple reason, but one of the reason I hope it's not true is:" A dangerous monster appeared."
If this was the reason, then this place is far more dangerous than I though.
Damn….
…
I tried not thinking about this for now and instead try to set up things.
The preparation are kind of temporarily, since I cannot control them really, but I can somehow arrange them a little bit.
The trap is set, now I had to wait.
I don't know if trap would trigger as intended or if somebody discovers parts of it and destroys it.
This time, is about the luck.
Latterly, my luck was shit, so I fuking prey to whatever gods up there to not screw me up again!
I've waited and waited.
Sometimes a pair of adventures came, while sometimes some better equipment guys cam that may have been higher ranking adventures.
Honestly, I was starting to doubt the plan itself. It was only good against a weak adventurer that is alone and who knows if I would even encounter a weak looking adventure that is alone anyway.
But while on patrol, I found a perfect candidate!
(…)
(Young man. Short sword and buckler shield.)
(No proper armor nor I see any weird looking things that maybe an item or something.)
(…)
(I think he will do…)
(…)
(Fuck… Should I really do it?)
(The plan itself isn't perfect and can fail and when it does fail, I could end up getting critically injured and worse, just straight up get killed.)
(But that is the risk I'm willing to take, since if I were not to do it, then I will die in near future anyway.)
(Then… Let's begin.)
The plant animal picked the small rock nearby and throwed it towards and throwed it at the young man feets.
The man instantly noticed the pebble hitting him, followed by the weird animalistic noises coming from the bushes nearby.
The man instantly put up his guard up before then slowly approaching the bushes.
After getting near the bushes, the man slashes with his sword at the bushes, however all he hit was the bush itself and nothing else.
"?"
"!"
The man looked down and saw a foot prints of some sort of creature on the ground, before then noting a movement from bushes nearby, fallowed up by the same weird animalistic sound from before.
The young man quickly rushed this time to the bushes, but then out the bushes a red rooster with bleeding eye was running towards the boy.
"?!"
The monster unleashes a fire attack at the young man, forcing the man to raise up his shield and block the attack.
The rooster monster began charging at the young man.
The young man swinged with his sword at the rooster as soon as it got closer, trying to slash the rooster, but then the man was forced to block again with his shield when the rooster unleashed another fire attack from.
After blocking the second attack with his shield, the young man rushed at the rooster and bashed it with its shield before tackling it on the ground and holding it down with his shield.
After catching the rooster, the young man began stabbing the monster with his sword over and over, until the monster resistance was gradually stopping.
However, while the young man was still trying finish off the monster for good, out of nowhere a ball shaped monster leaped at him and bit him right in the neck.
"?!"
Before the young man realized, the monster had already sinked deep into his neck and massive amount of blood began spilling out.
The man tried getting rid off the monster by hitting it with its sword pommel, hitting the creature right in the eye.
The young man repeated the action several times to the point that the creature eye was completely destroyed.
However, the monster didn't gave up and before long the young man movement began slowing down before then completely stopping.
"…"
(H-he…. He is dead?)
(Oh my god…. I killed somebody.)
(…)
(But… I don't feel much?)
(I thought I would feel something like disgust or maybe fear, but nothing?)
(Is this because I'm no longer human?)
(…)
(I don't care…. I don't care that I killed somebody. I knew that I needed to do that to survive. I don't care if I would have felt something or not since I needed to do that.)
(I'm no longer a human being but a monster.)
(If I want to survive, I need to get used to killing humans, just like any other animal, insect and monsters I killed so far.)
(Anyway, I'm sorry kid. It was either you or me.)
(But still, this guy put up quiet a fight. My left eye is completely messed up.)
(Well, I did took in consideration that I would not go unscratched in the fight.)
The plan I came up was to use the surrounding as well as the monsters for my advantage.
I would use suitable surroundings where I can hide and launch a surprise attack.
And I would use monster for the distraction.
First after I found a suitable place, I would use a monster flesh I hunted as a bait to bring some monsters near me.
After a human came passing by, I would throw a stone and began emitting noises.
I don't have a lot of strength to throw the stone, so I needed to emit any noises I can make.
I cannot speak human language or anything, but I can emit animalistic like noises.
After the human notices my presence, I began running towards the monster, before the humans sees me.
After I get near the monster, I provoke it by throwing stone at it. It will obviously not do any real damage, but it can catch the monster attention, I tested it out beforehand.
After provoking the monster and the human, I would go hide while the two of them would go towards my location.
The human and monster probably though that it was the other one doing and they would engage in the fight.
While that was happening, I would wait nearby until a right moment appeared.
I climbed on the tree branch and leaped at him the moment he was fully focused on the monster.
(Still. The plan had high chance of failing.)
(For example, what would happened if the monster I baited before had just walked away while I was baiting the human? Or what if the human would looked up and saw me?)
(Still, it worked and I should be thankfully for the gods for not screwing me up this time!)
(Anyway, my left eye is completely useless. I need something in order to recover.)
(That boy managed to kill the rooster before dying, but its flesh isn't enough.)
(…)
(Oh my god. I'm really going to eat a human, aren't I?)
(…)
(Fuck it. Let's do it. I already decided to be the monster anyway.)
I've began eating the young man corpse.
Honestly, I was bit reluctantly about doing that, but then…. It tasted good?
I mean like very good?
Damn. What the actual fuck?
Is this because I'm monster? Why the fuck it tasted so good?
Well, I did ate insects without much of the care about the world, even after getting my sense of taste back.
Anyway, I fill my belly with that human. I was obviously not able to eat the whole thing, so most of its body was still left.
(Fuck me… I'm full…)
(!)
(Right! I almost forgot!)
(What is my current level? The reason why I decided to hunt human in the first place was to boost my growth.)
(Please be something good. Please tell me that I managed to level up a lot.)
(…)
(Holy…...Holy fuking shit.)
[LEVEL 92]
(What the actual fuck?!)
(My levels got increased how fuking much?!)
(Was that because I killed the human?! Or maybe that guy was fairly strong, but I didn't saw his full power because of my surprise attack?!)
(Either way, my growth just skyrocket.)
(Today or maybe tomorrow I will be able to evolve!)
(This is great! Too great!)
(I think nothing can ruins this day!)
Suddenly from the nearby bushes, a grey wolf had emergent.
"…"
(Oh, you god to be fuking kidding me.)
