11 Your assumption will lead you astray
Jun Ching sobs quietly. He cannot stop his tears from falling. He lay back down wanting to ease the pain in his heart.
At first, he doesn't want to go out of his apartment. But because of what happened in his previous life, he's afraid to face that disaster again. That's why he dragged his weak body to buy the ticket. Who knows that Li Yang would suddenly appear and destroy his plans. Or else he will leave no choice but to sell his property.
Jun Ching flipped around the bed feeling distress. Even his eyes cannot fall close. He keep on thinking how will he survived now that he is determined not to cross path with Li Yang again.
Jun Ching remembered what Li Yang said before he leave. The double compensation that he will give only if he dated him. That bastard must deliberately spill out those words in order for him to regret refusing him. But then, how will he gather the courage to accept him if he is the cause of his death? Jun Ching also said he wasn't looking for a partner. He cannot possibly take back his words.
But then again, could it be--
Jun Ching was hospitalized because of him. If so, maybe he can used this excuse to mulct him money. A million euros will be too much, but a thousand won't hurt right? As long as he can survive for atleast 4 months of his pregnancy along with terrible morning sickness, he can continue receiving clients for his paintings.
Until the new family member will be born then his burden will be lesser. As for their future needs, Jun Ching only need to work harder in order to sustain his child. And then that Li Yang bastard will be out of the picture.
Just by imagining things through, Jun Ching felt satisfied. He will finally get rid of his worries.
Jun Ching slowly manage to close his eyes. After all, dealing with a scumbag exert him too much energy that almost caused him high blood pressure.
He curl into the bed and cautiously embrace his abdomen as protection just like what he subconsciously do in his past life. Sleeping will atleast let him forget his sorrows.
The next morning*
Li Yang came back with a bag of foods in hand. When he entered Jun Ching's ward, he saw him peacefully sleeping with half of his body uncovered with blanket. The air inside is a little bit cold but the sly fox didn't even felt anything from it.
Li Yang pick up the blanket and tuck Jun Ching in. For a moment, he saw Jun Ching's maple lips and stared at it. He gently press his thumb and caress it with full control. He doesn't want to wake his sly fox up.
Li Yang heard Jun Ching mumbles in his dreams. It's as if he's dreaming something that excite him. Li Yang couldn't help but chuckles. This is one rare opportunity where his fox is unguarded and can easily be teased.
Li Yang put the bag of foods into the side table then took the chair and set beside him. He stared at the sleeping Jun Ching until he notice that the man started to sniff while his eyes still close.
Jun Ching followed the scent. In his dream, he is eating a pig broth soup with another bowl of fish noddle soup. He is somewhat indulge in his dream that when he open his eyes, he immediately saw the two bowls of each.
Without hesitation, he pick up the first bowl of pig broth soup and instantly immerged into eating. As if his soul found it's happiness and can't stop smiling.
"Does it suit your taste that much?" Li Yang interrupted.
Jun Ching almost choked himself out when he heard his enemy's voice. He unwillingly turn his head on and saw Li Yang with a brightly smile.
"Why did you came back? Who allowed you?" Jun Ching was shocked.
"Isn't it obvious? There's no other patient here other than yourself" Li Yang laugh devilishly.
Jun Ching lowered his head. The pig broth soup he dreamed of eating and is now currently consuming, he glare at Li Yang asking "Was this yours?"
Li Yang didn't respond. He just comfortably sit beside the bed like he didn't hear what Jun Ching said.
Seeing the proudly face of Li Yang, Jun Ching hesitantly put down the bowl of soup. He even put back the remaining bowl into the bag. With a solemn face, Jun Ching gulp as he tied the bag up.
"Why didn't you finish it? I thought you like it so much that you forget about me. But seeing you now, did you change your mind since I am the one who brought it?" Li Yang's voice sounded like he is hurt. He even have trouble asking his Nana to cook him the soup. Yet it was all because it came from him that the fox doesn't want it.
"No, it's not like that" Jun Ching felt the sense of guilt. Yes, the soup was so good that he want to know how to cook it, then again, maybe a part of it was because it's from this bastard but the main point is not, "I want to talk to you about something"
Li Yang's expression suddenly change. From disappointment to excitement.
Is it about what he said yesterday? Did this fox finally made up his mind and wanted to date him? Did he realize that he can't win against him?
Every positivity was already circling Li Yang's mind. Though, he wishes last night- no, to be exact, he prayed last night to all Buddha that Jun Ching will be willing to be with him.
At last, the Buddha didn't disappoint him.
Li Yang waited for Jun Ching to continue. He is now eager to jump into the bed and rolled with his fox.
"I've been thinking about it last night. The thing you said and--" Jun Ching was distracted when Li Yang inserted in. "And? What is it, what is it? Come on, tell me. Did you really change your mind? Are you so sure to be with me? Ah, Yes finally" Li Yang jumped out of joy. His happiness is unmeasurable that he even forgotten his etiquette as a CEO.
Jun Ching clench his hand. His trembling body cannot resist the temptation of punching a bastard infront of him. The visible pissed is written all over his face that he was been interrupted. If only he isn't injured, he will surely would send this man to the ICU with no return.
"You stop right now" Jun Ching sent a death glare to Li Yang who instantly followed him but the huge smile still remains. "I didn't say anything about being with you, did I? Your assumption will lead you astray"
Li Yang's world instantly collapse. With Jun Ching's straight face, he isn't sure if what he heard comes out from Jun Ching or somewhere outside.
