W1 (48)

Jerry’s hand shivered as he saw the tentacles in Jack’s heart disintegrate, at the cost of Jack’s heart also being affected.

The last thing he would have expected was Jack actually blocking the blow and taking it himself… wasn’t he with Jean? How? Oh, he had stimulated their Beast mark after all.

Jerry stared at Jack in his arms with a hole in his heart area. He dared not look inside as he was sure flowers were birthing and perishing in it. Melissa gasped and huffed as she grasped at her shoulder, her right arm completely missing. It was a continuous spell, which meant that as long as Jerry was still alive her hand would keep on being disintegrated even she tried to regenerate it.

How the hell could he pull such a powerful attack even when he was clearly on the verge of collapsing… or was he using his life energy?! This bastard! He was that desperate, huh?!

“You…. you’ll pay for this!” Melissa said as she sent an attack at Jerry with her left hand at which was blocked by a barrier erected by Jerry. Right now he was using his life energy, as Melissa had suspected.

“You, you unlocked your full powers?!” Melissa asked in shock,

That had to be impossible! Unlocking his full memories was possible but unlocking his full powers…. Even she had not yet done it!

“I wish,” Jerry muttered wistfully as he tapped his chest.

What was Love?

Love was a feeling and desire to give yourself up to a person, the willingness to have a person own your all and the ability to give your very all, then what was loyalty? Funny, that was the same definition as ‘Love’.

The peacock race had always been loyal, their heart is ever full of pride and can only be brought down by loyalty to a person. It was sad, he was once so sure that what he had was love but now he was conflicted.

The first thing that came to his mind when he saw Jack like this was to replace him, replace his dismiss and have him live on happily, just like a loyal slave should to a master.

Shouldn’t he be more selfish? Want more? Want to maybe….die with him? Rather than he living on and possibly having another, wasn’t it better that they both died together? It was so unfair.

But he couldn’t, he just couldn’t. Whether it was loyalty or love, he just couldn’t.

A person once said that love comes in different forms, maybe he was in the form of devotion and loyalty, he was a selfless, giving love, kinda like agape, only, not as pure as it.

“This is…. its so unfair! Why? Why?! When we finally had it! I didn’t mind living this deceit forever, but this just happened…. why am I so cursed?! Why can’t I be happy…. hik… hng… wahh…. why is life so unfair to me?!” Jerry exclaimed as he cried a river. At least he was allowed to, for this was his last.

“We never even got to dance the ‘Mating dance’,” Jerry muttered wistfully with a hoarse voice as tears still streamed down his eyes like a flowing spring.

His long black lashes soaked in tears, his pretty pale nose pink and sore, his lovely faced stain fully beautified with traces of tears and his entire being as demure as an weeping angel’s.

Melissa was entranced for a second but later snapped out of it.

A Purple light glimmered slightly on Jerry’s finger as he pointed at his heart. Placing down his finger, he kissed Jack's lips. prying open his mouth, he deepened the kiss.

Melissa finally knew what Jerry was up to.

‘Actually giving his life orb for him. This kid is crazy!’

A Life Orb was just like its name, the life energy of a person converged in an orb, each year reduced from a life dimmed its light, the more quality its glow the more its energy, it also held the beast’s entire powers and spiritual energy, an extreme powerful source of energy.

A Life Orb doesn’t just randomly work with anyone, it had to do with compatibility, and the only possible person who could actually be able to absorb a life orb is a person from the same descendants or a mate of that person.

In Jerry’s case, he was using his Life Orb to stimulate Jack’s dormant memories and powers and it would totally work as the Orb’s power of a strong beast could not be underestimated and this bothered Melissa, she knew she had no chance if Jerry awakened and had to stop this mess!

“You’re actually willing to go to such lengths!” Melissa shouted aggressively as she went with full force, trying to break the barrier, each force making blood drip from Jerry’s mouth.

“My loyalty and love is for him after all,” Jerry said calmly, a trace of blood dribbling from the edge of his lips,

Indeed, he was a rare peacock race, probably the VERY LAST, but in the end he wasn’t a legendary animal like the black and white cat with Nine Lives which was essentially Seven Life Orbs…. but he did have a few minutes to his death and that was enough time for Jack to recover, he was sure that this was enough to stimulate it.

*SNAP*

Jack’s eyes snapped open, his usual lively eyes as calm as night, strands of his now long hair draped all over the sea, floating around, his face right in front of Jerry who smiled sweetly at him, blood dribbling from his mouth continuously. He was now Favela.

*Tum. Tum. Tum*

“It just won’t stop,” Favela said coolly as he wiped the little trace of blood that threatened to drip down the sea just like the rest.

“I know, right?” Jerry said with a cheery smile.

“You’re dying,” Favela continued with a smile

“I know,” Favela moaned in pain.

“Without my permission,,” Favela scolded.

“I’m sorry,”

Favela stood up just in time to catch the falling Jerry. Jerry stared at him lovingly, refusing to accept the horrid fate coming to him before hearing Jack say it-he needed him to say it, he definitely had to hear it.

“I’ll miss you,” Jack said sadly, his long lashes dropping over his eyes.

“Yeah….” Jerry muttered weakly, his eyelids lowered in sorrow but then Favela’s lips covered his, making him widen his eyes at first but then smiled into the kiss, taking in greedily the sight of his master for the very last time.

The kiss was long. Jerry wrapped his hands on Favela's neck and was thoroughly ravished till…. his hands finally dropped down, the bloody sea caressing his hands.

Jerry took his last breath. Orinda had died. This time he truly was dead, unless he had nine lives like the cat….but he was a peacock, the very last race.

Maybe the chance of surviving would have been higher if he hadn’t already damaged his core slightly by attacking his beast mark or given away his Life Orb, which was the center of his life.

“Ha, Haha, Dragoneel, how happy are you?” Favela said as he stood up. Melissa had been frozen in fear and dared not do anything during Favela and Jerry’s parting moment even after the barrier vanished at Jerry’s death.

Maybe out of fear or maybe with a wistful wish that she hadn’t provoked Favela too much as to not have mercy.

“I-i only did what was right. You adopted trash! I’m the real deal! The real last of the dragon race...”

“That will soon go extinct,” Favela said coolly while carrying Jerry’s corpse in his arms

“What…?” Melissa muttered but had her talk cut off untimely as Favela swooshed past her and the next second her eyes widened as she looked down, she stared in wide eyes filled with pure fear as her upper body separated from her lower body… dead.

Favela had precisely cut her remaining two Life Orbs while at it and her life was dissipating, this wasn’t supposed to be possible as it was like crossing through the physical part of her body to the spiritual realm and that was termed ‘impossible’ but Favela Death, it came so easily? So simple? How was that possible? Wasn’t she supposed to be the most powerful one?

After all, she WAS the last dragon race remaining! He was a fraud who tricked her father into giving him that kingly position, even though he was a strange child from unknown origins.

But managing to kill her off the dragon race so easily, even her ability as a dragon race to heal her life orb was all nullified and all she could do was watch as she died…. the most powerful dragon race?

Had fallen to this extent? How inexplicable.

But Melissa was accepting her fate. She was giving up for real now, after, all she had no choice but to.

‘Thinking back now, maybe father gave him the position due to the fact he was actually stronger than all the races and the World Spirit also wanted to sign that agreement to eliminate him due to him being a threat,

But, how could a mere handicapped beast be a threat to a powerful existence such as the Word spirit? Wasn’t the World Spirit supposed to be a god? That meant…’

Melissa’s eyes widened. How come she never figured it out until now? Looking at Favela’s cold eyes, she figure that he most probably didn’t want her to.

Her awe reached to the brim at this point, as a beast and a powerful one, having a few minutes of life after death was normal, she had wanted to explode her life orb with the little energy it remained in order to attack Favela.

No way he was going down like that…. and now, she had finally, finally realized it, why they had never been in the same league.

The only reason while she could only ever manage to battle him and not die was because he had been leaving her due to his respect for father, and now that she had crossed a line, very naturally he cared not anymore.

No wonder she could only ever reach his level briefly in that fight back then, it was only because she had help from the world spirit, all this proved that throughout she had been fighting a being higher than her, than her mortality, she had been fighting a god.

They say that memories and realizations come in heaps during moments of death, Melissa wondered sparingly if that was what was happening to her now.

“HAHA, I fought a god twenty times and survived all through it and even died in his hands! I couldn’t be any prouder... i couldn’t do it mother... i couldn’t take the throne… am sorry but… father… you were rig…” Melissa muttered as her eyes rolled back as she died.

Melissa Dragoneel, the last dragon race and the supposed rightful owner of the throne of Beastdom, died in the hands of The Berserker, a god who ruled the people of Beastdom and the real owner of the Beastdom.

Indeed, a Great event.

Elen stood from afar and watched all this, frozen whether from fear, shock or trepidation. No one knew, one word echoed through her heart through and through- This was NOT her son.

In the dreary, lonely river filled with corpses, was a lone figure holding a body ever so dearly as he gently kissed his cold lips once again.

He felt a pang in his heart that spread through his body and he felt like his heart, body and soul were internally bleeding direly.

“Once again another has left without my permission,” Jack-now Favela, muttered wistfully as he tightened his hold on Jerry’s corpse.

His wet hair draped across his back and his body was soaked with blood, water and sweat, his hands tightly held on Jerry’s corpse as he comfied the body’s head and legs with his hands.

“With no permission, you left just like that,,” Favela muttered calmly.

“Left me with only sorrow and sadness,,” he continued sorrowfully.

“Drowning in despair and emptiness,” a sad tear fell from his eyes and slid silently into the waters.

“Took my heart and ran away with it, leaving nothing but an empty hole remaining,” his hold tightened more.

“Do you really think it’s that simple?” He said with a smile.

“Is it simple to steal a god’s heart and run with it?” His smile getting crazy.

“Is it simple to tie a god to you and still be free?” his smile getting more and more insane.

“Do you think... I can never find you again?” Favela said coolly with an arrogant glint in his eye as he seemed to glare at Jerry’s corpse.

“I WILL FIND YOU, So…. wait for me and your punishment. But until then, Live well my beloved, wherever you may be,” Favela said as he kissed the body’s cold but still sweet lips but as that person was not there, it was meaningless.

“As for the World Spirit, let’s start the summoning section by destroying his core, shall we?” Favela said with a crazy and bloodthirsty smile.

“ELEN!” Danison shouted anxiously at Elen, who staggered to him, walking listlessly like her soul had been snatched out.

He had been so busy arguing with Jean that he had lost himself for a minute and, looking at Elen’s condition, he regretted it dearly.

“Danison, he’s gone, our son is gone, he left even before you could see him” Elen said tiredly, she really was tired, tired of life and all, just when he thought she was finally going to be happy with Danison and the kids, everything crumbled all over again and now her son was gone.

No way was THAT being her son, nor would he accept her as a mother. He was gone, gone forever.

“What are you…?...?....!”

“What is that?” Jean, who was still confused by all that was happening, asked whilst pointing at the blast of energy that was rapidly propelling upwards. It was a mixture of all sorts of beautiful colors.

“T-this….?!” Danison gasped in shock and fear, because he was so much shock he couldn’t say words well.

‘WHAT IS THE END OF THE WORLD DOING IN A SIMPLE WORLD LIKE THIS?!’ Danison screeched in his mind, nearly called out 202’s name before remembering that she was away.

‘Which entity….? How high….? Higher than this world is here, and it has been severely provoked badly! It’s destroying this world!’ Danison thought.

“Why wasn’t I informed about this?!” Danison asked angrily. He was being tricked! From the start to finish, he was nothing but a catalyst to help the other Transmigrator finish their mission!

“Danny?” Elen asked on seeing him agitated.

“Elly, you have to trust me on what I say,” Danison said.

“Yeah?” Elen answered as Jean, who was so engrossed in the sight, finally faced him.

“This world is ending,” Danison declared, taking in the shivering of Elen and un-believing look on Jean “But its gonna be fine, because it’ll restart, although you might not remember me or ever know me its next restart, and I might not exist even, you have to go on. I’m sorry but I guess… this is where it ends,” Danison said as tears rolled down his eyes.

He knew all this was too good to be true. He was used, heavily used then disposed of. He couldn’t even complain as he didn’t know how to… and now….

“Mom, what’s this crazy guy saying? End of the world? Blablabla… what?” Jean asked with displeasure.

Elen was the only one who had seen all of Danison’s memories and so she understood, unlike Jean. This was all too overwhelming to her as she fell into arms again, embracing him firmly.

Jean had to shut up after reading the mood. He wasn’t sure what to feel, but he knew that he had to be considerate to the two, only for his mum.

It was blinding and beautiful, the lights seemed to hit a sort of barrier upwards and diverged from themselves, flicking downwards across various places, it came falling, and crashing downwards…. it was so beautiful, like the colors of the rainbow falling straight towards the earth.

Some ‘lucky’ ones who managed to see this stared in astonishment, Jennifer who had been cheering on Jessica as she skated on ice paused as she stared at this lovely sight. It had actually reached from America to Atlantic!

“What is tha…”

*Woomp*

The next minute the adorations of men turned into screams of horror as what seemed like the apocalypse descended right on earth, as soon as the lights touched earth it went on traveling, moving forward and devouring, anything it touched that wasn’t human crumbled up into dust and any living thing encountered turned into oblivion, like they never existed.

People screamed as they watched this insanity happened, who could ever believe that the apocalypse that would come on earth would suddenly descend and eliminate all human without warning?

As some people watched on TV how the humans varnished, whether they died or not or simply just varnished, was a mystery.

It was crazy, no remains, nothing at all, like an eraser simply cleaned off life, JUST LIKE THAT.

The brim of the country couldn’t calm their people down on this as they themselves couldn’t be calm either. The beams seemed to travel round the world and death or rather elimination was inevitable.

It was a rather strange end, no disease, no zombies, no robot or alien invasion, no cruel death, simple cleaned off from earth, like a pencil existence, it was somewhat….. comforting.

“Mmmmh, Blergh” Dina said as she opened her eyes to the same orange room she had been in before she transmigrated.

She felt like she had gone through a whole rollercoaster ride on space while being whisked like a cake mixture, a triple mixture of dizziness.

Standing up, she stumbled around and nearly fell on her face when a view of black appeared in front of her and her face swashed on something hard yet comfortable.

“Are you okay?” Zero-one asked in his usual calm voice, his face brightening the entire place in an instant and making Dina flush

“Oh…! Zero-One! How… AHHHHHH!” Dina’s pleasant scream suddenly changed to a loud screech as she felt a wave of memories flood her brain and then she finally remembered it all.

Extract:

Favela stood in the higher planes, mid-air in the most middle part of earth, watching the tortured world spirit beneath his feet wriggle and plead for his mercy earnestly.

Favela glared at it and let out an ironic laughter

“You should be disposed of, like the trash you are,” Favela said with a calm voice as he flicked the World spirit’s forehead with his fingers, and just like that the World spirit was dispersed.

He smirked as he looked towards the dead Jerry.

“I’ve finally revenged you. So let’s go home,” Favela said softly with a small smile as he carried Jerry’s corpse into his hands, opening a portal.

It was a great day. After so many years their king was back. It called for a great celebration, but looking at the moaning cloud that coated his face, the body in his hands held so dearly, they dared not.

After all, were they to glee in the sorrow of their king?

Years after, the berserker never went out from his abode. He took in a successor, trained him to be king and declared him king… all within the confines of his abode.

A Millennium later, the story of a great king with immortality became nothing but a legend, a powerful one, but if anyone was to ask where he had gone....

Where? Nobody knew, because even years after his sudden disappearance after choosing his successor, nobody could see a trace of him.

There were various variations of his location, some claimed he had turned to a god, others that he hidden himself in a world to search for a way to restore his beloved, others that he had become a transcendent being no one could lay a candle to.

No one could ever truly guess where he was. But the legend went on, and second to the great legend of the berserker was his love-life’s tragedy, written by his direct successor and passed down, probably modified over time.

However, the fact was that the greatest love story of all time was the tragic love between a heartless king and his docile beauty of a slave, the greatest love tale of all time passed down and adored by all, mostly omegas.

Such a great tale would forever prevail in the great land of Beastdom.
