"Sara!

How did this happen?"

Sara's friend Maida asked , her voice contained concern for her friend.

Who was accused of not assisting properly in a neuro-surgery.

She prepared coffee for both of them and placed it on the table right in front of her .

Sara was sitting on the chair with her legs folded and her head placed on the table .

She moved her head enough to look at Maida who was looking at her with sympathy and concern, both at the same time .

Sara let out a sigh and pulled her head away from the table.

"Don't you think they accused you wrongly?

They were planning on making you leave from the past month !"

Maida said as she looked at Sara .

Maida let out a sigh and sipped some coffee from her mug when she didn't get a reply from her friend.

(Sara's POV)

I was a very obedient , hard-working and intelligent child .

I tried to perform my best in everything, took care of my family with at most care and was a very loyal and devoting nurse.

But because I was against the operation theatre manager and his team , I was thrown out of the hospital like a fly with a lot of fines to pay .

When my family learned of it , they broke all the ties with me and left me to pay my fines and my cost of living.

I wasn't from a poor family but we were not financially stable enough.

I worked two jobs with my student career just for my younger siblings to study and for them to hope for a better future.

I shut myself away from the whole world and just focused on helping my family and getting a stable Job as a nurse.

And everything was going smoothly.

I became a Senior surgical nurse in a well recognized hospital and rented an apartment in a good area .

My family back in town became more stable then others because my siblings ended their degrees and now they were supporting our parents as well .

I even heard that my younger sis was accepted as a financial minister in a big company.

I thought we were happy .

I thought I was happy.

But deep down I regreted sometimes.

I had reached the age of thirty four without ever socializing with a man .

Let alone having a relation with him .

But I pushed all these thoughts away and worked devotedly.

Everything was going smoothly untill I found out that because of our manager and his team , one of my fellow nurse had to go through abortion three times.

They bullied her and forced her to do hard weight work after realizing that she was pregnant.

I couldn't believe it at first but after discussing it with some other nurses it was found that she was saying the truth .

I couldn't take it as a fellow and spoke of this issue at a grand meeting where all the management staff was present.

I was dumb.

Dumb enough to think that the higher commission wouldn't know when everything was under their control.

They were also a part of all this !

And that's how I became a victim of corruption and died due to stress and malnourishment.

No one helped me or even tried to help me .

Be it a family member or a fellow worker.

I was left alone to struggle my way out of this but I couldn't.

My only friend Maida , who actually cared for me , wasn't there at my last moments.

She had to leave the country because of a business trip.

In my last moments , I often used to smile while thinking of my childhood crush "Zain ".

The Grand Duke of Osla empire from a novel I read in my summer vacation when I was in grade six .

I couldn't forget about that novel or him because of my impulsive urge to meet him and because of my attachment to his character.

And before I knew , I was reincarnated as a no-name character in my favorite novel.

I became a daughter of a maid who worked in the Ain Duchy and died giving birth to me .

My father was not known and I became a responsibility of Ain Duchy's maid section .

As a child of a fellow maid they couldn't bring themselves to hand me over to some orphanage.

That's how I started my new life in my favorite novel and in the same place as my crush.

But reality striked in later and I realized that I wasn't just in a novel but I was actually living my second Life in a parallel world and all these people were alive and real .

Waves of fear and horror striked later , when I realized that I wasn't the same age as Duke Zain but we were actually five years apart .

He looked thin ,small and weak due to malnourishment and I waisted twenty years of my life just keeping my distance from his in order to stay with him and not to be kicked out of the Duchy .

None of the servants were allowed to approach or get near the Duke and if someone tried then they would be immediately fired from their positions and forced to leave the Duchy.

Just because I didn't wanted to be apart from him , I missed my chance of saving him from fate and that's how he died right in front of my eyes by falling from a cliff and I who jumped after him also died at the same time .

"Yo, we met again"

I greeted the God with a miserable face full of regrets .

"Hmm, I can see that you have died again"

He replied as he looked at me .

I bitted my lower lip and looked away .

"And you seem more miserable than you looked, when you died before "

I stayed silent as I looked at the side way all this time.

"well I hope you live well in your after life than.

You can leave "

He said as he signaled for me to leave .

unlike last time when he offered to give me a chance , this time he wanted me to accept my death as it is.

"One Chance "

I whispered and he looked at me with a raised brow.

"What one Chance ?

I have already given it to you ."

He replied in an unconcerned tone.

But I couldn't just let it go like this .

"JUST ONCE !

LET ME TRAVEL BACK IN TIME .

THIS TIME FOR SURE I WILL SAFE HIM !"

I begged in a shrieking voice as I cried my heart out with that one request.

I really needed to go back again.

He stayed silent and just watched my face.

"To go against natural Laws a second time , you will be punished sewerely if you fail."

He replied and I in happiness wiped my tears away and stood up from my begging position.

"I will not fail !"

I replied with unwavering resolution.

He raised his and as everything became blurry I heard him say

"Just so you know, you have agreed on dying ten times more if you fail "

I opened my eyes and smiled .

I was back in my bed !

I was back to being a five year old child !

As soon as I woke up , I danced in my head out of happiness thinking of my situation.

"Have you heard that The Duke was rejected by the Lady Aideen .

She in return also became the Crown Prince fiancee "
