[44] Holy...
You may have think you saw it all about fantasy architecture when you saw Gondor, but Ayre was still one league above that. Now, standing at the teleportation gate at the middle of the square, I felt like an ant in a city of fashionable giants. In the distance was a castle so fancy and huge, when the sun shone on it, it literally seemed like a massive wedding cake made of gold. And all around it, it was surrounded by smaller building, but none the less impressive, like decorations to go with the main feast.Holy...My stomach continued to grumble as we moved along the square."It's pretty good huh? That's the Auream crown, usually people just call it big cake." Eziel pointed his chin to massive castle."Big cake huh...Sounds kind of funny." I casually responded."It's a childish nickname, but even legionnaire themselves call it that.""Wait, what does that castle have to do with legionnaire?" I turned a curious brow to Eziel."You see, in the original lore of the game, the NPC family Cavaldilier's has ruled over the kingdom of Ayre for centuries, but since the game has begun and legionnaire has established its influence here, slowly the real power has been transferred to the guild instead. Now days, all the real political powers and military power of the kingdom lies with the legionnaire." Eziel calmly responded.WTF? What's the difference between this and real life politics?Just as I feel like my head was about to split into a million fractured states, a voice called out to us from the side:"So slow!" Sioux pouted her lips at us."Sorry..." I scratched my head and let out a nervous smile."Its fine whatever." Eziel cracked his neck. "Where are the others?""Ah! Piphra is in some shop buying some potions," Sioux tapped her chin and went on, "And Enju and I were just shopping a moment ago...wait, do any of you guys happen to see her?" Sioux scanned the crowd around."No. Did you two separate?" Eziel spoke up."En." Sioux nodded. "I went into line to buy some Takoyaki, but when I got back she was gone.""Did you try messaging her?" Eziel further raised a brow."Yeah, but she didn't respond." Sioux replied. Is something going wrong?...Whatever, she can take care of herself..."Well, there is still another 30 minutes before the official meeting, so how about we just enjoy ourselves for the time. And I am sure she will show up by then." Eziel said, with one hand on his hip and the other gesturing to the side."Well, I guess you're right. But that means I will have to eat all those Takoyaki myself..." Sioux faked a tear."Well, you can follow us if you want..." Eziel pointed out."Boring. I want out with cute grills, not some oji-san!" Sioux sighed as she left us alone."Oji-san..." Eziel chuckled. "Come on man, I got a place to show you."After about 20 minutes of walking, we arrived at a white pavement road so wide, it could fit 8 lanes, and at the end of the road leading down, was none other than the gates of big cake."This road is..." I blurted out."Grand silk road, a direct pavement road extending from the southern city gate to the big cake.""I see..."A series of thunderous trumpet blasted off in the distance, and all at once, the people on the road scrambled away like headless ants. NPC, players all alike moved off the road, just some more reluctant than others. The trumpet sound grew louder as a cluster of dark shape emerged at the road's end, and when I looked closely again, my eyes couldn't help but widen.Holy shit...At the very front of the cluster, was a group of horses, all white manes with knights in shining armour on top. No doubt some high level player showing off their equipment. But what came after completely put the knights to shame. Magical girls. Yes, that's right, those magical girls from your very favourite childhood cartoons, were now flying around in the air and casting fireworks. But what's most impressive about these fireworks, is that they seemed to have a mind of its own, as I saw one of the fireworks that turned into a griffin chased after another one that turned into a sheep. And it kept on chasing, until it sank it's beak into it, and with both disappearing in an instant altogether.Uhhh...I wasn't even sure what to say at that point, as my eyes widened to the point, my eye balls were going to fall out. Several more extra flashy performance group came by, including a Chinese dragon slithering through the air, a Durham doing disco on a carnival parade car...etc. But at the very end of the line, all special effects paled in comparison to the horse carriage in the end. To begin with, the very horse that was pulling the carriage had 8 legs. 8 freaking legs, but for some reason, it didn't feel ugly at all, but rather beautiful in an authentic way. As for the carriage itself, the design itself looked the bottom of 2 Ferrari with their bottom side stuck together, and on top of that, the whole carriage was painted in gold, with monster size gold brimmed tires at the side. Can you even drive that thing?Well, I mean if it needs a horse to pull it that means it surely can't move by itself...Slowly, the convoy grinded to a halt in the middle of the road.I narrowed my eyes and stared at the carriage. And there, right at the side where the carriage stopped, was where Enju stood. And before I could even began running in her direction, the carriage door opened.Q: What is the first thing you look forward to in a big city?
