Wizard stuff.

"Ahh, it's so good to relax for once, right?" I sat back in a chair.

"You could have just killed everyone and the problem would have gone. Just saying." Tetra still thought it would be the easiest solution to kill anyone who annoys me, and, to an extent, that's true, though I'm still sticking with the idea to be more-or-less peaceful.

We are in a bar, currently. It's evening, and the atmosphere in places like this is perfect to ease your mind a bit. Plus, I teleported to this one for a reason - it's far away from where I caused a ruckus so that nobody would recognize me.

"Oi, pass me a drink!" A lone man called out to the bartender.

"I don't get it. There are loads of different liquids you can choose from, but everyone just seems to ask for a "drink", and the bartender has to figure out what the person wants on his own. Is that not weird?" Blood made a fair point.

"That's why a bartender's salary is so high." Somebody overheard the conversation and replied.

"Huh, I see. maybe that could be a good job for me to take up then? Oh, I'm River, by the way. You?" I said and pulled up a chair, placing it down next to me, for the person to take a seat.

"Call me Shane. You're looking to find out more about how this place came to be, correct?" I was caught off guard by that statement.

I had my senses enabled, and could easily tell if somebody was watching or listening to me, even from miles away. In a swift maneuver, I pressed my right hand against his neck, Ready to use Blood's teeth to pierce his neck any moment.

"Relax, relax. I don't have any insane powers or the ability to control [white spawn], unlike yourself." With a cold sweat, he carefully spoke.

"Then how?" I can't trust him. To be unnoticed, you have to have more points of intelligence than your target, otherwise, they would sense your presence.

"It's simple. I have an S class skill, [conseal], which allows me to stay undetected before any amount of the intelligence stat." Did he reveal an S class skill so easily? I guess he's probably not lying, since if it wasn't true, he'd have no need to lie with such power.

"I thought you were someone extremely strong for a sec. Welp, could you explain yourself perhaps?" Tetra, who was ready to strike all this time, also released the tension and came out with a question.

"Damn, you three are a scary bunch. I'm the strongest of any Wizard apprentices in this entire kingdom, but, considering that I can't sense your presence without directly looking at you, you must be one of the Ten Wizards. I've met eight of the Wizards before, and one I have yet to meet is a female, so you are the last, tenth. It's an honor to meet you." This guy just spat out so much information, but he's definitely misunderstanding something.

"Hol up. I'm not even a magic-user. Well, I do use magic, but I specialize in melee combat. And I'm most certainly not one of the Wizards." I've learned a bit about them in the academy, and can safely say that I haven't ever met one, and much less so, am one.

"Huh? Oh, you're joking. If you fought in close-combat, you wouldn't have invested so many points into intelligence." The man was convinced that I'm a Wizard.

"No, think about it for a second. Isn't it great, to have a bunch of intelligence along with strength and agility, so you could use spells to help you with combat?" I thought that was common sense.

"That's just ridiculous. How high does your level have to be for that?" He sat there, staring at me in disbelief.

"My level, huh? A couple hundred thousand, maybe more. Can't be arsed to check." I took a sip of my 'drink'. Still don't exactly know what the bartender gave me, but it tastes like flavored water; not good.

"Alright then, keep your secrets. Anyways, my Wizard master, whose name I'm not allowed to reveal unless you agree to help, wanted me to ask for a helping hand from a fellow Wizard, which is why I came to you." He must have been watching me for a while before approaching me, since he knew my intent, to find out more about the lore of the world.

"Sorry to disappoint ya, but I'm no Wizard, so go look elsewhere." I replied.

"You're even better, though! My master just needed help from a strong individual, since she only recently became powerful, and the task at hand requires a person with lots of experience." He said enthusiastically.

"And what reason do I have to go?"

"Master knows lots about the world, so she will for sure share some information." Interesting.

This could be perfect, but I'm just gonna ask for Blood and Tetra's opinion first.

"Did you forget about the school tournament? You will get a skill card as a reward for getting first place, and, with your manapool and strength, the only thing you're lacking in is lots of abilities and skills." Tetra reminded me.

"Yeah, I agree. A skill card is worth staying here for." Blood added.

I looked at the man, waiting for his response.

"I can work with that. When's that tournament of yours being held?" He was willing to work around our needs, so I guess his master is in dire need of help.

"Three weeks from now." Having emptied my cup of unpleasantly flavored water, I stood up and stretched, ready to leave.

"In that case, I'll give your academy a visit during the tournament. And I'll also get to watch your fighting style, I'm sure there'll be lots to learn from." He excitedly said.

~~~
Waving goodbye, we went our ways.
Welp, what now? Oh, I've got an idea. What about going out into the wild, and practicing one ability I still haven't learned to use, [black spawn]. I bet that would be fun as hell.
Yo, hope you enjoyed. I did (as always).
Anyways, there are Wizards in this world. And other strong dudes River has yet to encounter.
So.. stay tuned for that.
