So much confusion.

"Ahh, well this is boring.. There's just no way I messed the elevator, right? I've searched the whole damn place." Now that I think about it, I didn't use an elevator to get to this floor either. I entered through a wormhole that appeared in the ceiling.

Perhaps a new wormhole appeared? But that just makes no sense. The elevator was clearly made to take me up all the way to floor 10, so why would I suddenly need to use wormholes instead of the elevator?

"And that's only part of the weird events." Up until now, each floor just had a boss, a challenge, or an enemy of some sort, but things just got very odd after I reached the fifth floor.

Aside from the fifth floor's strange nature, and by that I mean that it had inhabitants in it, what was even more confusing is the fact that there was apparently some other way to enter the room, which I was not aware of.

Also, Coke, Fanta, and Sprite all just left. They also had the race "??????".

This boss as well. Instead of dying after I killed him, he just straight up flew away to the next floor.

"Aghh, this is such a headache.. Welp, theorizing about it won't yield me any results. I don't have nearly enough clues to figure out what's going on." At this point, I realized I was wasting my time, trying to figure out what the hell went wrong.

I just want to leave the damn cave and go into the real world for once. Let me try something.

*boom*

Yep, it worked. I slammed the ground with my leg, launching myself into the air. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to do it again, but it looks like that's not a problem. I can't use my manipulators to fly anymore since I have too much mana to control them, so I guess I'll have to "fly" this way.

Just as I expected, there was a wormhole in the ceiling once again. I guess that's gonna be my way of traveling between floors from now on. Having gone through it, I found myself in a new environment once again.

"Okay, I see how it is." This time, the place was a barren waste. Nothing but ground, which is rather fitting, all things considered.

The previous room was full of trees, and we fought a boss which was made out of wood and roots. It had some dirt on the inside, so, having broken his layer of wood, it makes sense that this boss would be in place made of dirt.

So, what is his third stage gonna be like? Hmm, I don't have that much time to think about it, seeing as I'm about to fight a monster made of dirt. Hold on, is it really gonna be that simple?

"Hey Blood, haven't seen you in a while. You doing alright? Well, we don't have time to have a chat, so if you're not, tell me after we kill this thing." I pulled blood out of my inventory.

So, what is the "thing"? Just like the last time, a mountain-like hill popped out from the dry plain ground. The difference was this - instead of shattering into pieces to reveal a root monster, the mountain itself started taking a humanoid shape.

"Damn. Didn't you just say this is gonna be easy? I'm struggling to see at least one slightly easy thing about this guy." Blood complained.

"He's made out of the ground. Ground. You see what I mean now? No? Okay, I'll tell you. Lightning. Use lightning against him. Ground is weak against lightning, so this is an easy win for ya. Just cast a lightning bolt at him, and he should shatter to bits." I explained.

"Okay, that makes sense, but can you give me a break? I just had the worst experience in my lifetime, being stuck inside of your inventory, and I still haven't told you about my new skill." Blood was quite mad at me, and, honestly, I can tell why.

"Oh, right. [gravisphere]-[reverse polarity]. Yeah, well you can tell me all about it a bit later. As you can see, we're in a bit of a pickle, so could you just cast a few lightning bolts and finish him off real quick? We can talk after that." I asked Blood.

"I'd gladly do that, but [Blood lightning] is still on cooldown, so you're gonna have to win me some time." So his skills have cooldowns as well? I thought it would just be directly related to his amount of blood, but I guess not quite.

"Some time? How much is "some"?" I hope it's not too long. I feel like this boss could pose quite a challenge if we don't hurry up and kill him.

"Let's see.. Half an hour. You could handle that no problem, right?" Blood smirked, knowing fine well that I'm gonna have a pretty hard time running about for half an hour straight, but I don't have much of a choice in the matter.

"Haha, okay. I had no Idea your goat head was able to make faces at all, nevermind that annoying smile." I got ready for the long run.

It seems like the last few boss-fights just boiled down to waiting out for the perfect time to strike, and the rest of the fight was just running in circles. I hope that changes soo, cause I'll get bored with this.

"Hey, why do you look bored before a fight? I've never seen anyone have that expression right before a fight with someone stronger than them." Blood was curious.

"Just think about this for a moment. All I've been doing is circling some sort of large boss and striking when the time was right. How could I possibly not be bored right now?" I got a little moody.

"Want me to attack you while you run around him to make the fight more fun?" Well, that's an insane idea if I've ever heard one.

"Nah, I'll pass on that. Thanks for the offer though." I laughed.

Casually talking during what could be their last fight, that's what River and Blood are all about.

So, I hope you've enjoyed this chapter/
