Piercing Feather

Xiao Niao flew out of the cage, but the night foxes didn't seem at all bothered by it? She forgot that Wind was still knocked out inside the cage and wouldn't be able to escape with her!

'I'll have to get a skill then! System, recommend me a skill to use within my budget!'

[Skill: Piercing feather -- 15 (Feather will pierce the skin/body of any being that touches it directly and cause it to be cut, however the user does not gain any defense from useing it. It's own feathers will not affect the user.)]

She didn't have the time to be picky with skills and bought it after scanning the description for a second. The night foxes also got closer to the cage. Xiao Niao prepare herself and hoped the foxes were dumb enough to not eat her due to pain.

After preparing herself, she fluffed up all her pink feathers and used her wings to float down. Then she used Piercing Feather. Her parrot body wasn't exactly very small, so it attracted the attention of some of the foxes.

As more and more foxes forgot about the cage, they all surrounded her. It was terrifying! She noticed that it only made her feathers hurt things that touch it, but it didn't give her any additional defence. If a brave fox bit into her without caring for the pain, it was game over from there!

The Night Foxes started laughing again. It was probably because Xiao Niao looked like a fat bird with her feathers fluffed up, but it didn't matter.

One of the foxes charged at her and caught Xiao Niao in its mouth. Except, hundreds of small cuts formed inside of the foxes mouth!

Xiao Niao noticed this first and hit her wings against the foxes face, and even more cuts appeared. The fox quickly dropped her, but it was a little late, when a deep cut formed on it eye. That fox began to back away from her a but now.

Everyone including Xiao Niao herself was surprised. She didn't think the skill would be this useful since it only costed fifteen points. Even her feathers stayed in the same fluffed position as they were before using the skill. It was petty handy.

'Is this what a porcupine feels like...?'

She couldn't help but feel that way. Another fox dared to bite her, but ended up with hundreds of bleeding cuts on the roof of its mouth and it's tongue. Seeing that the Night foxes were being cautious of her, it made her confidence boost.

The night foxes then starting, what looked like, discussing with each other. Some were nodding and others were just listening. They almost completely ignored Xiao Niao, before turning back and three of them left into the darkness.

'Hah! I can definitely do this with this skill!'

Her confidence in this skill was at an all time high when the foxes had just sat back and watched her every now and then. It was perfect though if Wind could wake up and fly out of the cage before something happens, it would be alright.

'Come on... why are these guys still hanging around!?'

She didn't know why they were just watching her the entire time. And then, like a sneaky fox, it hit her!

Literally.

The three sneaky fox that left had come back with ankther, smaller fox. Then, that smaller fox jumped onto Xiao Niao's back when she was confident! Her feathers scratched the foxes mouth, but it didn't let go! Instead, the little thing had bit down even harder and punctured through Xiao Niao's skin!

Xiao Niao's wings got free and she flapped them in all sorts of directions, hitting the foxes face and eventually, the eyes as well. But the darn thing still didn't let go of her! Was it a masochist or something!?

The bite only got worse as time went by. The other foxes started laughing in a creepy way again as they watched Xiao Niao trying to break free!

'This thing can really bite! It really does hurt..!'

She was already on the verge of being crushed to death and Wind was still knocked out! It couldn't have gotten any worse.

'Why didn't I think of that before doing all this!? At least I can still use Mimic now...'

She chose to Mimic the jaguar again, but this time she used all her strength to make it louder and stronger than it originally was.

RRRAAAWWWRRR-----------!

Her tiny body had let out in ear piercing roar right next to the camp. And you can guess that everyone woke up in an heartbeat. The roar was even louder for the night foxes, who had an enhanced sense of hearing.

The small fox biting her had fainted with drips of blood coming out of one ear! Although, it wasn't that extreme for the other foxes, most of them were either dizzy, or had fainted.

"What...?"

You can already tell that Zhang Qianbai was going to be the first to rush out with a weapon in hand. Only to find a beaten up cage with knocked out cloud eagle, tens of fainted or dizzy night foxes, and an injured parrot standing in the middle of it with fluffed up feathers.

Truly a bizarre sight. Xiao Niao wasn't even a Qi beast either, and that made the situation even more confusing. And what about that deathly loud roar? It came from the bird that was only about a few inches over a foot tall?

'Oh.. I'm definitely going to get scolded for something!'

However, unlike her imagination, the prince didnt say anything and ordered all the soldiers to lock up the night foxes. Then he slowly stepped towards the beat up cage and picked it up. Zhang Qingmo shook Wind outside the cage and looked at her.

"Zimo, take care of it."

Qingmo handed the eagle to Zimo, and then looked at Xiao Niao. She immediately stopped using Piercing Feather when he got closer to her.

Qianbai picked her up with both of his hands with that cold look in his eyes again. He started heading back into his tent. It was within her expectation to be given some sort of punishment for breaking out of the cage.

'NNNOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!'

Xiao Niao wanted to struggle, but she didnt have enough strength left to fight back. She could only await her doom~--!
