Ep-10 "look at me!"

(Haruko calls down everyone for snacks. Ray and Miyoko joins)

Shin: you two! eat fast or you'll not get anything!

Haruko: you really like eating. Don't you shin?

Shin: hehehe...

(Haruko pats shin)

Haruko: now tell me! tell me! Who's dating whom?

Airi: Haru! Haru! Yukina and ken finally started dating.

Haruko: oooo!!!!

(Yukina inside: I knew it! They will leave no chance to tease me..!!)

Haruko: did you two kiss yet!!??

(Ken looks other way. Looks back at Haruko and gives her a big smile)

(Everyone laughs)

Haruko: good for you. Huh Ken!!

(Yukina inside: that idiotttt!!!!!!!!!!)

(totally embarassed)

Haruko: Yuki! You're blushing already!!!!

Yukina: Haaaru! Drop it!

Haruko: yes yes let's not tease our Yuki over the fact that "they've finally started dating".

Yukina: Haru!

(Everyone laughs)

Ray: you're really different than others. Normally parents ask about future, studies and all.

Haruko: that's why I don't talk about the stuffs like that. Because you already have your parents to talk about it.

Ray: oh

Haruko: As you all are like my kids only. I just want you to relax and have fun. And...I also want to be the place that you all turn to when you're in trouble...

(Gives a bright smile)

Erik: ofcourse! We don't want to get our asses kicked by our parents.

(Everyone laughs)

Haruko: by the way Ray, your dinner is here today. I've talked to Kyoru.

[Ray's mother name is Kyoru]

Ray: oh okay.

Haruko: and you kids, it's been a while since you all came here. Leave after having dinner. I'll inform your parents.

Everyone: okay!!

(After having dinner. Ken, Airi, Shin, Yukina are helping Miyoko with cleaning in kitchen. And Ray, Siya, Erik and Haruko are chatting in living room.)

Siya: Haru there is something we need to tell you.

Haruko: what's the matter?

Erik: it's about Miyo.

Haruko: I was right. Something's wrong since she arrived.

Tell me.

(Ray tells everything.)

(Haru remains silent for a minute)

(Siya and Erik inside: this is the silence before storm.)

(Haruko stands up and punches the wall hard.)

(Everyone shocked. Miyoko comes running)

Miyoko: mom!! What happened? Why did you hurt yourself? Someone tell me what's happening here?

(Haruko's blood starts flowing. Miyoko runs and brings first-aid. Miyoko starts treating.)

Miyoko: what happened mom? Why are you so angry?

(Haruko kisses Miyoko's forehead and hugs her)

Haruko: I'm sorry...You had to go through that. I'm sorry... I couldn't protect you.

Miyoko: it was scary mom...it was really scary. I got really scared. They were really monsters.

Haruko: You're my brave kid. You fought well. You didn't give up right? You made me proud.

Miyoko: hm...hm...(sobs)

Haruko: And Ray thank you! You did the right thing.

Ray: yeah...but I think I broke one of their hands.

Erik: really?

Haruko: oh, I'll take care of that. And I'm gonna meet them personally. They need to be taught a lesson. These type of people are dirtying the name of delinquents.

(In beast mode.)

(Suddenly it starts raining heavily)

(Haruko realises, runs)

Haruko: crap!!!!!! I left the clothes outside!!!!! Miyo!! Kids!! Help me!!!

(Everybody runs and grabs clothes. After putting clothes, Erik pulls Miyoko outside and starts playing. Everyone joins and starts dancing and playing.

(Miyoko inside: I just want this time to stop. I just want to keep playing with them...just keep enjoying with them...)

(After some time, everyone inside)

Haruko: looks like, it will keep raining tonight. Hmmmmmm (thinking)

Okay! everyone! You'll will be staying over. I'll inform your parents. Enjoy!

Ray: um...I think I should go now. I'm already drenched in rain and I live nextdoor.

Haruko: no! I said everyone! Stay over and have fun. Kyoru will also stay in office tonight. You should never say no to fun. Stay.

Ray: um...fine...

Haruko: now! Let's plan sleeping system. Then I'll go in my room. I have some office work to do. Don't worry I'll tell your parents.

Now! girls will sleep in Miyoko's room. And boys will sleep in living room. But I don't think we have that much mattresses here. Sooo(thinking)

Ray: I think I can bring some sleeping bags and change of clothes from home. I also have to check on my cat.

Haruko: oh that will do. Erik go and help him.

Erik: yeah.

(Erik and Ray goes to Ray's house)

Erik: Ray

Ray: yeah

Erik: thanks, if anything worse than this would have happened to Miyo then I would be never be able to forgive myself. As I've had an idea that this would happen but I still didn't walk her home.

Ray: listen Erik, you didn't go. But you did tell me to walk her home. And if you hadn't warned me that time, then I would have totally left her alone.

I know this would be hard since you all care for her so much. But... things will be fine.

Erik: I hope so.

Ray: yeah let's go now and cheer her up. Because that's the best we can do for her right now.

Erik: you're right.

(At midnight. Everyone's sleeping)

(Ray inside: I can't sleep. I can't get her face out of my mind...when she ran towards me that time...)

(Ray gets up for some water. He finds Miyoko standing there in balcony. He goes to Miyoko)

Ray: it stopped raining.

Miyoko: yeah.

Ray: couldn't sleep?

Miyoko: yeah.

Ray: me too.

Miyoko: it's just that... whenever I try to sleep. Those scenes just flashes in my mind and a crappy feeling gets in my body.

Ray: oh.

(Ray inside: ofcourse! This will be a part of her life that she can't erase. She would be feeling hundred times worse than what I am feeling right now after listening to her.)

Miyoko: Ray.

Ray: yeah?

Miyoko: sometimes I think... what have I done to deserve these things?

Back in Hokkaido I always wanted to make friends. When I was in elementary school. I always stayed alone. Nobody really wanted to be my friend. Then in middle school there was this group of girls. They were really good friends. I wanted to be their friend too. So I approached them. It was good a first but then their behaviour changed after sometime. They started neglecting me, leaving me behind, insulting me. I thought they are my friends and one day they will also see me as a friend and I'll also be a part of their group. But it got worse. They started judging me. They said many hurtful things to me. They made fun of me whenever I say something. They made bad faces seeing my lunchbox. They said I'm ugly, I don't know how to carry myself, I don't know how to behave. Eventually it started affecting me. I thought about it again and again. I hated myself. I cursed myself and my grades went down.

Ray: did you tell anyone?

Miyoko: I didn't want my parents to worry about me. I asked them several times, if we can shift to another place or something. But they never took it seriously.

Ray: I see.

Miyoko: (starts crying) ..even though now that I've changed the school, the place where I live but still the things they said about me back then, they still hurts me. It felt terrible Ray. It was terrible...I really hate myself for being like this...even if I want to...I still can't change the way I look...I can't...I can't do anything about it...I am like this...it's disgusts...I know...I know...but I can't do anything... I'm tired Ray... I'm tired thinking of all these things.. I can't do anything right! I'm disgusting!

Ray: Miyoko.

Miyoko: I hate myself! I hate myself!

Ray: Miyoko.. Miyoko

Miyoko: I hate myself!! I hate mysel-

Ray: Miyoko!!!!!

(Takes her hand and holds close)

Ray: look at me!
