Chapter 36: MacKenzie's real name

McKenzie met him at the airport. She was a redhead this time, pale skin, green eyes, dressed in something very expensive but form fitting. When she talked to him, she even had an Irish accent. Thicker than her normal one. “David. I’m ready to go, I just wanted to thank you for everything.”

“Don’t thank me, McKenzie.” He said. “You did your job well.”

“I never worked like this before. Thirty million dollars in two months? David, honey, I’m never working again.” She looked giddy. “I’m out.”

David didn’t share her mood. Or her intentions. “Where are you flying?”

“First to Philadelphia, then back home to Ireland.”

David smiled. He doubted McKenzie was really Irish. “I’m going to Philly too. Let’s go together. Spend some time.”

Her voice softened, grew seductive. “Why David, are you propositioning me?”
