Chapter eight
"Daddy what do you think of this one?", Rejiana showed Richard another picture of her self.
Bored Richard rolled his eyes "Why are your shorts so short", he asked in scrutiny.
Rejiana shrugged and Richard simply laid his head back on the head rest.
"How about this one?".
Richard tightened his eye sockets "How would my opinion help you sweetheart?".
Rejiana shrugged and laughed " I've already posted the ones I wanted, but I can tell im vexing you, and that pleases me very deeply".
Shaking his head Richard ran a hand through his hair "Leave me alone sweetie", he kept his eyes shut.
"What am I going to do if I let you sleep?".
"Watch the item in front of you", he said referring to the small tv infront of everyones seat.
Rejiana pulled out her tongue but still shook her head no.
"Fine what do you want from me?".
"The red matt lipstick you carry around".
Richard laughed hysterically "No".
"What's it for though?", she asked curiosity getting the better of her.
Richard sighed knowing very well that his daughter wasn't going to let it go "On our fifth date I bought it for her, it was the most expensive gift I had ever bought. I didn't know her lips were generally deep pink", he stopped to think of her "Uptil the day we got married she never used it, she was always just so natural and beautifil, she never did need makeup". Richard turned his head to Rejiana and gave her a weak smile.
"How did you propose to her?".
Richard laughed "I got down on both knees and asked".
"Specific much".
Richard laughed "That's a story for another day".
"Okay atleast tell me what you said to her".
Richard recalled the moment and qouted it word for word like it was the day he was rehearsing it with Jason "Olivia you're the only person I've ever loved like this, it literally drives me crazy and it scares the shit out of me. You give me the pathethic emotions people write in novels and honestly you bring the light out of me and I may not have much right now but I promise you, with you by my side then I'll be able to do anything and as stupid as it sounds I'd tie a rope around the moon if it meant being with. So Olivia James would you do me the honour of enlightening my life by marrying me".
"And she said yes", Rejiana whispered.
"No, she ran out of the restruant and showed up at my doorstep a month later and screamed yes".
"Wow", Rejiana pulled a smiled.
"How did you feel when she walked out?".
"Well my heart broke and I almost drank myself to a comma".
Rejiana laughed "And how did you feel when she appeared at your door?".
"You ask questions like a therapist",he laughed " I was ready to tell her to fuck off but she just hugged me and said yes, it was euphoric, heartwarming and lovely. I had never felt anything so good in my life".
Rejiana smiled and tears filled her eyes.
"Snacks sir?", the air hostess asked them.
"Two Cadbury Top decks".
She removed them from the crate and handed them to Richard.
"Thank you", he told her then handed the bigger one to Rejiana.
"I spy with my little eye", Richard started "Something that begins with the letter M".
Rejiana unwrapped the right side of her chocolate and gnawed at it "man?".
Richard narrowed his eyes at her and slouched in his seat "We're the only ones in this part of the plain Rejiana".
Rejiana chuckled and looked around and laughed "Ok I feel you woman".
"Marble?",she laughed.
"No sweetie".
"Male".
Richard palmed his forhead.
"Hint", she laughed.
"It's the most beautiful thing in this room".
Rejiana looked around "I've got it!".
Richard arched an eyebrow.
"It's the MAX tv".
Richard shook his head and laughed "Nope".
"Then what?"
"My beautiful daughter".
Rejiana smiled at his unspecificity but was flattered.
She leaned against his shoulder and smiled.
"Well i spy one of the bravest people alive, one of the only people who I'll ever love the most perfect lady man in life. What is it?", Rejiana smiled.
Richard smiled "Me?".
"Of course", she laughed.
