264 — Pei Yueran's Morning Exploration

The next morning, Pei Yueran woke up first. Taking a moment to get oriented, she then opened her eyes. Unsurprisingly, she was still held within his arms.

Her body didn't hurt as much anymore, so she was in a good mood. It helped that the "assailant" was so good looking.

Adjusting her posture carefully, she turned until she was able to look at him comfortably. How could someone be so easy on the eyes? His features were really handsome.

Asleep, he looked very gentle. His lashes fanned his face, making him look adorable, like a larger version of Li Yuchen. It was the same two eyes, one nose and one mouth. How come it looked this good on one person?

Then her eyes moved over to his body. Somehow, his pajamas shirt had been unbuttoned, giving her an excellent view of his firm chest and rock hard abs, making her wonder just what it would feel like to splay her fingers over them.

She repeatedly tried to restrain herself. Hadn't she learnt her lesson yesterday? Besides, could she still not know what it felt like?

Obviously, Madam Li was just deceiving herself.

But in the end, curiosity won out and her fingers went forward until they connected with the smooth skin in front of her eyes. Looking up to see if he had woken up but seeing his eyes closed, she grew emboldened.

Her fingers glided over his chest, lightly touching the dark nubs, then flicking it before moving away. Tsk, tsk, tsk, such a fine specimen.

Then her playful fingers moved to his abdomen. That feeling of running her hands on such a hard surface brought a mischievous smile to her face. Even the various scratches she made the yesterday did not detract from the overall beauty.

She made a decision. Since she had already come this far, she might as well—

"If you really do that, don't blame me for the consequences." A husky voice that sounded pleasing to the ears came from above her.

Pei Yueran froze. Then looking up, she saw that those hazel eyes were open and seemingly smiling at her. There was also a smile on his lips, just that this one was decidedly evil.

Pei Yueran shivered.

What was she thinking? It was like she had forgotten totally about yesterday!

Li Chuanmo had woken up even earlier than her, and was furthermore doing what she was doing just moments before she woke up.

It was when he saw her stir that he pretended to be asleep, and that was purely because he thought she would still be feeling embarrassed.

Now great, not only had she forgotten what embarrassment was, she was even in the mood to play. How could he not be happy?

It wasn't as if Pei Yueran wasn't embarrassed, she was. But her naughty streak temporarily suppressed it. Now that his eyes were open, yesterday's events came rushing back, and she couldn't wait to go hide herself somewhere.

"I wasn't doing anything, just ignore me," Pei Yueran immediately tried to backtrack, but would the wolf that just woke up from hibernation let go of the fresh rabbit that sent herself to his mouth?

Certainly not.

Seeing that handsome face enlarging in her vision, Pei Yueran wanted to bolt. Mother, save me!

And as if someone actually heard this heartfelt cry, there was a knock on their door.

Pei Yueran wanted to cry tears of joy. Okay, she was just exaggerating, but that knock really came at the right time. Now that she was 'saved', she had the guts to laugh at Li Chuanmo's disgruntled look.

Seeing her carefree smile, Li Chuanmo gritted his teeth. Good, this was another debt added to the list.

The person at the door spoke in a hurry, "Good morning My Goddess, Dad. Come out for breakfast, else we would be late!"

That was when Pei Yueran remembered that they were traveling back today. She and Li Chuanmo had to resume at the company the next day. The heavy workload could no longer wait.

Pushing the person above, she moved off the bed into the bathroom.

Li Chuanmo helplessly watched her go before he went to open the door, "We're coming."

Satisfied, Li Yuchen walked away and went to the dining table for breakfast.

By the time both of them came out of the room one after the other, the others were already eating. Seeing them come, Li Yuchen waved them over, "Come and eat quickly."

Pei Yueran made sure to avoid her mother's line of sight as she sat down to eat. It was just that this breakfast was a bit difficult to swallow.

Knowing what her daughter liked, breakfast was oriental-style, with fried dough sticks and soy milk, as well as steamed buns.

Don't know what she thought about, but looking at the dough sticks she was served, Pei Yueran blushed, choosing rather to drink from the glass of water beside it, because the soy milk was not an option either.

Giving a smile that was not a smile, Li Chuanmo replied, "I ate my fill of two soft and delicious white buns yesterday."

Pei Yueran choked.

Li Chuanmo unhurriedly passed her the very milk she didn't want to drink, and she glared at him, but still drank it anyway.

Director Zhou just buried her head down and continued eating breakfast. She could swear that she neither heard nor understood anything.

The boys didn't think too much, though Li Yuchen asked where he got such good food from and why he didn't share.

He really opened his mouth as if to respond, but Pei Yueran stuffed it with a dough stick while she diverted Li Yuchen's attention.

Li Chuanmo just smiled as he ate.

Thus, breakfast passed without further incident, and soon, they were on their way back to City M.
