After thinking about it, he said, "Student Yuchen is right to be angry in this matter. Although the school has zero tolerance to violence in school, this situation is an exception.
"However, to make sure that violence is not your first option next time, you will write a letter of reflection and get it checked by Teacher Long here."
Turning to Yu Bowen, Principal Shen continued, "Student Yu Bowen broke the school rules and the rules of decorum by using words to incite others to violence.
"The rules state that you should be suspended for two weeks for fighting, but as it is a first offence, and taking into account the special situation, you would not be suspended, but you will fulfill thirty hours of school service, write letters of apology to Students Han Yichen and Li Yuchen, and finally write a letter of reflection that has to be approved by your at least three of your teachers.
"Do the both of you agree with my decision?"
Li Yuchen nodded calmly in agreement, while Yu Bowen almost gnashed his teeth. If he wasn't already in trouble, he would have spoken against the unfairness.
He was the one that got punched, so why was he also the one with the greater punishment?
Besides, everyone present knew that Li Yuchen's punishment wasn't a punishment at all. Teacher Long was so partial to him that even if he submitted a blank sheet of paper, Teacher Long would approve it. Even better if the paper was filled with codes.
But even if Yu Bowen had ten guts, he wouldn't be able to voice it out. Besides, it was better than he expected. As long as the matter didn't get to the parents, he was willing to accept any punishment, so this was not too bad.
Thus, the matter ended there, and everyone dispersed. When they got back to their class and everyone heard the principal's verdict, they all had different thoughts and expressions.
But the common consensus was, "Whatever you do, make sure you don't provoke "Cutie Wolf Chen!""

Pei Yueran's ill health lasted for more than a week. If not that the doctor kept assuring him that it was nothing serious, Li Chuanmo would have done something drastic in agitation.
If it was indeed nothing serious, why was she still looking very pale and sickly? Throughout that period, the whole villa was shrouded in a depressing atmosphere. The workers were opening their eyes and ears wide to catch some news, but no one dared to gossip about the two masters.
Except for the butler, every other worker steered clear of Li Chuanmo. They were afraid of his hazel eyes that seemed to shoot out ice shards without him even speaking.
Fortunately, the Young Madam had started to get better. Now, she could sit up and speak for short periods of time. That was the news her personal helper Jiahui passed on, and it seemed to be true, as Li Chuanmo's mood had also improved visibly.
Today, Pei Yueran had just finished eating lunch. Li Chuanmo, who not only cooked but also insisted on feeding her, had just sent Jiahui away with the bowls when he heard her speak,
"Chuan, I feel much better now. Shouldn't you go to the company?"
She knew he was staying home because he was worried about her, but she felt it wasn't needed. There was so much to do that he couldn't afford to be absent.
Now that it had been confirmed that he was no longer a Chairman on probation, he had to hold a press conference to announce it. It also meant that a new wave of partnerships and collaboration offers would be coming their way. All these needed his supervision.
Li Chuanmo's face didn't even change as he disagreed, "Nothing is more important than you. Even if I go, I would be too worried to focus. Besides, I've been working from home all the while, so it's fine."
The international New Year holiday had passed, and now the company workers were in a subtle rush to tie up loose ends on their side in time for the Lunar New Year, which would have a longer holiday. Just the thought of the free time was a huge motivation.
Pei Yueran couldn't say anything to that. Inwardly though, she was determined to get well soon so that she could also return to work. Lying down all day wasn't her idea of relaxing.
Then she remembered the matter she wanted to talk to him about. She told the Gao family that she needed some time to think about things, but so much time has already passed. She wanted to get in touch with Madam Gao, as well as her mother and tell them what had happened.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she began to talk, Li Chuanmo shook his head firmly, "No."
Pei Yueran was surprised. "I haven't even started, so what are you saying no to?"
In response, Li Chuanmo said evenly, "I know you want to start working yourself up about your identity again, and I'm telling you that I'm against it. You've not even fully recovered yet, and you want to already plunge into this quagmire? I'm not in support of it."
Not to mention her current fragile state of health, but even if she was completely healthy, it would still be a hassle to go head to head with the Gao family.
Pei Yueran kept quiet. He had a point though, but she still tried to convince him, "Chuan I know, but I've already decided on what to do. I just want to speak to Mum and ask her about what she knows. Also, I don't care either way, but I know Madam Gao is waiting eagerly for my decision, and for some reason, I don't want to disappoint her."
Seeing that his resolve was weakening, Pei Yueran moistened her dry throat with some warm water before adding, "It was fine when nothing was proven, but now that I know, I can't just pretend not to know anything. Please Chuan."
Although she had been independent for many years, she had come to somewhat rely on Li Chuanmo now. She still made her decisions by herself, but it felt better when Li Chuanmo agreed with her.
After a long moment, he finally nodded, making her sigh in relief. Then he said, "Fine, but I have a condition: You won't do anything about it until you're fully recovered."
"Okay. But when would that be?" Pei Yueran smiled as she asked. Such vague time-frames as "when you fully recover " was the same as saying nothing at all.
"At least till the Lunar New Year."
Pei Yueran nodded. This she could accept. Anyway, it wasn't too far from now.
Sorry, I posted this in the wrong volume earlier.
Thank you @ Kenji_Tezuka for your warm review. It really gladdened my heart.
Everyone, please check out his book "Where The World Ends". It's fantasy themed, but the story is very engaging and the action is packed. It was very enjoyable —even to a "strictly romance books" person like me.
Enjoy.
