“Well, that’s Natalie. She’s got my father wrapped up so tightly in her-” I waved my hand down between my legs suggestively, “grasp that I would be shocked if he even remembered he had a daughter.”
Mia and Reed traded a glance but did not comment on my thoughts of my father.
“Well, what do you want me to tell her if she calls back by chance?” Mia asked.
I shrugged. “Tell her, I’m fine. My prostitution ring is going really well, and I’m about to get married to the drug lord for his money. This way I can become the criminal mastermind of the northwestern states.”
Mia raised an eyebrow at me, but Reed seemed to be trying to choke back his laughter. I chuckled in the back softly thinking of Natalie’s face if she ever did hear that.
“I can’t imagine a person ever disowning their children. Especially in a situation like that. I guess it’s a good thing she never had children of her own,” Mia stated indignantly.
“She did. Four boys,” I replied, blowing her mind.
